Fun for a 17 yr old

So I bought the game a few weeks ago off the internet. Was it worth the $4 I payed for it? Heck yea!

Easily the best part is modding the cars. There's a pretty big selection of cars, at least big enough for me.

The lack of tracks though kind of irritates me. There's about 5 tracks total for circuit mode, but usually you have to run them in reverse or "mirrored" so it seems like there are tons of tracks. Some tracks are hard though.

The farther you progress in Underground mode, the harder it gets. It's more of an arcade style racing game. I like it better than Project Gotham Racing 2. Probably because PGR2 is very realistic and you have to really get on the brakes in the corners. In NFSU, you can take turns at higher speeds and it's more fun than hitting the breaks all the time.

It's a very deep game and I've probably played it about 20 hours so far and I havent beaten it yet. I would definitely recommend it.

I don't see why some reviews don't like it. It is fun and fast. yOu play DIFFERENT levels in the game. I haven't even finsihed it and i got it last year. That's because this is really competative and fun. You can play in two player mode and go head to head. The songs are sucky though! The are the worst! My dad's heard bad language in some and the beat is stupid. Everythign would have been perfect is it wasn't for the stupid and sucky songs!!!!:(:(:(:(:

THIS WAS ONE OF MY FIRST GAME, IT SUCKS, THE CARS HANDLE BAD, NOS JUST SUCKS. IF YOU WANT A GOOD CAR GAME MIDNIGHT CLUB 3, THATS GOOD, BUT BACK TO THE SUCKIE GAME, OH YEAH DID I SAY THAT IT SUCKS, BECAUSE IT SUCKS, FIRST IT'S FUN, THE GOES DOWNHILL. STAY AWAY FROM IT. OH YEAH DID I SAY IT SUCKS?

Well, it's a good game. I've unlocked everything and am working on Underground mode. One thing I looked at though. 2001 Project Gotham Racing with Kudos scoring system. 2003 Need for Speed: Underground Style Points. So I decided to replay my copy of PGR. You can gain Style Points for almost all the same tricks as in PGR too. Very similar, quite unoriginal. Other than that, great!

Story:
You play the live of a young beginning underground street racer, trying to make your way to the top of the charts. To do that you must earn money by winning races and customizing your car.

Gameplay:
My favorite mode is the car customization mode, where you get to buy hundreds of different parts (including Nitrous Oxide, Paint, Vinals, tires, weight reduction...ect ect) to put on one of twenty different cars (including the toyota celica GTS, Mitchubishi lancer...). Then comes the racing part. The only problem I find with it is if your one of those people who get so mad when they cant when a race on the first or second time then I would say that you should rent it first. If your not that it's a really great game.

Interesting take on arcade style racer

I have thoroughly enjoyed the depth that this game has to offer. The arcade style racer has always been a rather safe venue for publishers, but the creative lighting and style of this game make it stand out. This is not a new title by any means, but is well worth the reduced price. The games is deep enough to keep you entertained for hours and doesn't seem to stale as quickly as other arcade racer titles.

Great game with only one flaw.

This by far the best racing game yet. I can't wait to see how they are going to top this game with NFS Underground 2. The game play is very challenging. The farther along you are in the game the tougher it gets. Sometimes too tough but extremely awesome. The only flaw this game has in my mind is that once you beat the game, unless you buy all of the parts before you beat it you can't put them on any car unless you start all over again. I think that once you win you shoul have all of the parts that are on the parts shelves. Awesome game.

Well, this game is the best racing game I've ever played....I love how you can customize your car in just about every way. The graphics are awsome...the sound is awsome...it has a good soundtrack, but after a while the songs start to get boring, and it seems like they play the same songs over and over again. The only problem I have with this game is, when your racing, and there's other traffic around, you barely hit a car, and you go flying 100 feet in the air, and then you can hit a car going 200 mph and you hardly move at all, that is the only part in the game that is unrealistic, but everything else about the game is totally awsome...cant wait until Underground 2 comes out... I SOO recommend this game. So stop reading reviews and go buy it already!

This game is really fun all around. If want to just play it by yourself or with some buddies. The best part is the huge array of options you can use to change your car.

when i first got this game i hated it
i in the end decided to keep playing it because all of my friends said it will get better
the reason i hate it is because u can be winning a reace the entire time and push over a tad to much, hit traffic and lose the race 10 feet from the finishline
in this game there is no room for screw ups at all
this game will make u mad, u will throw your controller, u will use fowel language
but on the flip side u will have a blast dezineing you dream car and makeing money to buy up grades so that it is faster, and can handle better

if u do buy this game which i think you should, when u r picking ur car get the 1 that has the best handleing, u wont be sorry

if at first u hate this game keep on trying and eventually, loseing the race when youre just 10 feet from the finish line will become a part of life
