I love this game i recently got it and ive played it for hours at a time. The graphics are great. and finally a street racin game, thats cool. Too bad you dont have damage though. The music is great. The only other weakness i see is its not Live

This is one of the best racing games of all time. It's way better than the other NFS games, Project Gothem Racing games, and Midnight Club games. I agree with Zaken that this game needs more cars but you can't drive in the day. That's why they call the game undergroung. I do respect you review though.

Fast and Fun

It came time to buy a new simulation racing game and I opted for this as opposed to PGR2 (no particular reason mind you). What I found, is that this game is fast, customizable and gives a ton of variety for any player. There are over 100 goals to be met and since you start out with a stock variety of cars, it seems a rather distance goal of getting to the next levels. Instead, if you are anything like me, you will find yourself playing more and more just so you can unlock new performance parts or body upgrades. Unlocking new vinyls and multicoloring them adds an element of fun and expression almost putting you in movies such as "The Fast And The Furious". I have only had it for a few days and can't stop playing it. The great element, is that theoretically after you complete all the goals (garnering magazine covers and high reputation in the process) you can begin the whole thing over again with a new stock car and have a different experiance as you learn to race with new rules. This is highly reccomended, the lack of a five star rating is only because of a few minor complaints about the realism of the crashes (which are beautiful...but no body damage). The soundtrack is fun and pronounced, but not obnoxious.

So far, NFSUG is probably one of the best NFS games yet. This is definately a must-have for any NFS fan. Here's why:

First, the graphics are amazing (eventhough if you crash into a wall your car doesn't get smashed up). The cars are put into almost every detail you can think of, that a real car would have. The streets and such are okay in graphics (they could be better)

Next, the sound is is mediocre. They seem to play the same songs over and over again, though. It would be better if you could customize the soundtrack.

Thirdly, the gameplay for "Go Underground" is really great. As you progress on through the game, you unlock new parts to tune up your car. Another thing is, you go up the ranking ladder when you win your races. There are different types of races, which is really great; drag racing, drift, circuit, time trial, lap knockout, tournaments, and sprints. For time trials, if you beat the clock, a person named T.J. (or Samantha) installs a "Unique Performance or Visual upgrade" on your car (you get to choose, of course). The game gets harder and harder as you progress through it, which I like.

Lastly, the multiplayer is also a great feature to the game. The only race that you don't get to do that is in the "Go Underground" mode is the time trial. Overall, NFSUG is a must-have for any NFS fan like myself. And, even if you don't like NFS, NFSUG is at LEAST a must-try.

This game is tyteeeeee! better then any other racing game yet i persanaly love the cars in this game they look so shiny any good very good detailed well i hope they make this one a must have like last years it's avalible on the x-box ps2 and the gamecube they always make it different on the ps2 for some reason like more stuff thows jerks just because they made need for speed first doesent' mean they have too do that!

i hope i really hope they dont do that this year if i haD 50 BUCKS I WOULD GET THIS TITLE THE FIRST DAY IT COMES OUT MOE MONEY MOE MONEY MOE MONEY IT'S ALL ABOUT THE BAGAMINS PLAYA!!!

This game is good but the only reason i will but it is because of the fast pace driving. Many other reviews complain about the lack of cars, it really dosent matter because after you get a car you costumise it with (rims,neion,motor and nos) i also heard one of the raters saying that nos only blurs your screen, two of my friends have it they say nos is is very effective, nos is also one of the reason i will buy this game. I also suggest you rent this game before you buy it (i dont have to because my freinds have) it, good luck.

This game is really fun all around. If want to just play it by yourself or with some buddies. The best part is the huge array of options you can use to change your car.

I don't see why some reviews don't like it. It is fun and fast. yOu play DIFFERENT levels in the game. I haven't even finsihed it and i got it last year. That's because this is really competative and fun. You can play in two player mode and go head to head. The songs are sucky though! The are the worst! My dad's heard bad language in some and the beat is stupid. Everythign would have been perfect is it wasn't for the stupid and sucky songs!!!!:(:(:(:(:

Fun for a 17 yr old

So I bought the game a few weeks ago off the internet. Was it worth the $4 I payed for it? Heck yea!

Easily the best part is modding the cars. There's a pretty big selection of cars, at least big enough for me.

The lack of tracks though kind of irritates me. There's about 5 tracks total for circuit mode, but usually you have to run them in reverse or "mirrored" so it seems like there are tons of tracks. Some tracks are hard though.

The farther you progress in Underground mode, the harder it gets. It's more of an arcade style racing game. I like it better than Project Gotham Racing 2. Probably because PGR2 is very realistic and you have to really get on the brakes in the corners. In NFSU, you can take turns at higher speeds and it's more fun than hitting the breaks all the time.

It's a very deep game and I've probably played it about 20 hours so far and I havent beaten it yet. I would definitely recommend it.

Must be a dumb @$$ if you do not like this game...really

yeah there are other racing games that are better than this...in my view, i cant see another game where the graphics are clean and smooth. the cars in this game are so cool. You can upgrade your car and put nitros. something that Gotham Racing doesnt have. The cool thing is that when you jumping you can see yourself in a replay mode while you driving. it feels that you are going 100 or 200 mph. Lots of decals upgrades..you gotta get this game. the other people had a hang over or something cause thiy are COMPLETELY WRONG
