This game is going to rock the gaming world. Keep in mind that most 30somethings playing games today probably got the desire to play games due to Tron...
(It's the truth... you don't have to say it... we all know!) :D
Having only played the first level on the demo I can honestly say this game is going to live up to the hype. Everything is perfect... right down to the sound of conscript shoes clunking down electronic halls! Do not miss this game!

Being based on a movie which, pretty much set the standarts on
digital worlds, and created by MONOLITH(creators of the increadible "No One Lives Forever" series),
the game is well designed, well built,
and with planty of gameplay, such as lightcycle races from the films, a nice array of standart and non-standart weapons based onthe film and the real world, nice locals representing different
hardware such as internet hubs,PCs,PDA,Routers and so on,
a good cast of characters(and voice actors, featuring REBECCA REMOIJN STAMOS(X-MEN) and BRUCE BROXLEINNTER(TRON,BABYLON 5),
and a good story which unfolds in a way movies atracts viewers
via (wicked)engine-based cut-scenes and gameplay.
YOU GOTTA TRY IT!
sci-fi fans(and everybody who loves PCs and films)
owe it to themselves...
Looks like a pretty good game

Tron 2.0 is a sequel to one of the legends that disney has unleashed--tron, imagine what it would be like living inside your computer as a good guy. Pretty cool! The Tron 2.0 demo is graphically gorgeous because of it's litech powered triton engine, the dynamic lights, bump mapped surfaces, high res textures, high poly counts, fast frame rates, and light wrapped around objects powered by haw t&L boards or programmable shader boards combined with high quality music and sound with eax advanced hd with the latest direct-x 9 technology with single player and multiplayer(both fun) allows this game to be a sure winner when it debutes! Hah!
Just another FPS...

This review is based upon the SP demo of the game.
I played both the lightcycle and First Person Shooter (FPS) levels provided in the demo. The lightcycle game looks interesting, although people without fast reflexes will be hard-pressed on anything but the easiest level of difficulty. The first FPS level, however, didn't strike me as that different from any of the other games of this genre that I've played. Almost immediately I was confronted with a jumping puzzle (land on the right block or fall to your death), and a get-the-right-keys-to-open-doors puzzle that basically just involved opening every "code box" to get the right keys to move on. The weapons were fairly common; the disk is a new twist at first but isn't really THAT different from the weapons you've seen before.
I'd recommend this to FPS enthusiasts, or people who are fans of Tron and haven't gotten over-exposed to the Quakes ad infinitum out there.

Ive been playing this game for a week now, it completely and totally rules!! Even at normal dificulty, some levels are very tough to complete. Everything in this game looks so refined and polished its incredible. I particularly love the dialoge and all the techo-jargon mixed into all the game elements (for instance in one cut scene the ICP's are trying to locate you and the ICP Kernel tells his troops to broaden the search criteria...totally cool!!). This game is an absolute must-buy, whether you are a Tron fan or not!!

I didn't even know about this game until yesterday. This is going to be the sleeper hit of the year, right up there with Half Life 2, the gameplay is different & a lot of fun.
Beware!

Beware! This game requires a very specific type of videocard and will not run without it! If you don't have a GEFORCE 2 class card then you've just bought yourself a [$] paperweight. (Or, if you opt to buy the card, you've just paid [$] for a videogame--buy a xbox, gamecube, or ps2 instead and save the trouble.)

I have to admit that this review is not based upon gameplay, because I have been unable to play the game at all.
I am not a novice gamer. I have a brand new computer that runs an Athlon 3000, with nvidia fx5900 ultra and soundblaster 5.1. THIS GAME CRASHES CONSTANTLY. I can play for 5 minutes at a time, and then it's over. My whole system crashes, and my sound settings have to be reconfigured (not just for the game, I am talking about my whole computer). I have placed 4 support calls to Buena Vista Interactive, and no one there knows what to do, though none of them seem surprised at my problem.
I have updated all of my drivers--audio, video, and motherboard, and this game still will not function. Until a patch comes out that fixes all of these issues....do not buy this game!
Fun game.

I've had absolutely no problems with this game and found it to be a beautifully rendered world with an interesting (if somewhat convoluted) story. Yes, the game has some stiff requirements, mostly in the video card area, but I'm running it off a lowly GeForce 4MX and it rocked along smoothly. I highly recommend it, especially if you were into the original movie or just enjoy computers.
