Best Mulitplayer Ever!

The multiplayer for Burnout 3 is worth the entire game and a $50 price tag.
Not only do you now have 2 player (at the same time) crashes, but a myriad of other vehicles, maps, and sub-games to play.
I couldn't put it down last night and see this as a great party game.
What a tight game!

SO COOL !

Simple but True words. This is the best racing game I have ever played in my entire life. It make gran turismo and and need for speed look bad (and those games are awesome). This game is meant for everyone, even if you don't like racing games. My friend, Chris, hates racing games but he loves this game becasue it has crash mode, where you get points for a pile up of cars. There are so many different reasons to like this game, that I can't even say them all. I don't think that any game is worth $50 except for this one. Trust me, go out and buy it!

Very disappointed

After seeing all the reviews and playing another driving game (Project Gotham Racing 2 - PGR2), I was expecting a great game, basically PGR2 with more intense crashing. I returned the game after one night of playing.

The driving physics feels very poor after playing PGR2. PGR2 slid more accurately in turns and vibration was used more effectivly in sliding and crashing. Takedown barely used controller vibration. I was hoping that the game was buggy and an XBOX live update would have fixed it, but to no avail.

great revenge game

this game is that perfect revenge game. tired of getting your butt handed to
you by hardcore halo 2 gamers? just bring them into this game online. and I mean literally throw them into the wall. this game allows you to actually; crash your oppnents into walls into cars and so on.

this game also sports a mode called crash mode, or party crash which is reffered to online. here you can compete to cause the worlds worst "Final Destination" style pile up.

So check this game out, there's plenty of people online in this game; it can still use more gamers.

Awesome Racing Game!

I am not much for racing games, but this game has most racing games beat! At first, you don't get many cars. However, once you start playing the career, you get many more cars with different attributes, and it makes everything worth your while! If you don't like racing, then this isn't for you, but if you have a glimmering hope, then try it! You never know, you may fall in love this game! I know I did...

Never thought I'd write a review for a racing game.

I'm not a big fan of the racing genre, so I hesitated a long time to rent this one. By the time I had to return the rental I immediately bought it. This is, bar none, the best racing game ever.

Racing games traditionally have never correctly tackled the art of crashing into other cars. It's something that everyone wants to do in the game, but is has always been detrimental to your chance of winning the game. Burnout finally awards you for having fun taking out other cars, instead of penalizing you. It's about time!

cool

great game, worth buying, but rather get burnout revenge... well anyway. Its awesome a lot better the other racing games like NFS. You can kill your opponents and stuff and do crash modes. The only thing annoying is the theme movie and the stupid STRIKE ON CRASH FM, hes so annoying.

Wow...just wow...

I have never been a fan of racing games. Too boring for my taste. Until I played Burnout.
Once, I played Burnout 2 for Gamecube (my brother had rented it), and I thought it was cool, but not cool enough to buy. Note that I didn't play that game much at all. So about 2 years later, I go to sleepover at someone's house, and he's playing Burnout 3. I look at it, ask if i can play, and I'm hooked.
Now enough story, on to the game. You can choose from a varaity of cars, and each of them have different aspects (duh). Then you choose a track or challenge (depending on what race mode you're in), and you start. Yeah, it's pretty much you going 200 through crowded streets, knocking the other guys into stuff, and crashing yourself.
Yes, in Burnout, crashing is a huge part of the game. You can make someone crash after you crash (aftertouch takedown) by moving your car around by using "impact time". Pretty much you hold the "a" button down while holding the control stick in which direction you want to go. Usually you won't go far, however. Also, you don't want to crash all the time. In fact, in the main story you pretty much want to avoid crashing.
There is a full-flegged multiplayer mode in Burnout 3, even going so far as to offer online play on Xbox Live. Modes include a race, a demolition derby-type mode, a mode where you have to cause the most whreckage by crashing, etc.
Also, on the Xbox version, you can use songs stored on your Xbox and listen to them in-game.
Now, that was a lot, but it's pretty much screaming, BUY THIS GAME. Even if you don't like racers, you'll love it. Although you should probably rent it first.

excellent game.

this game was an awsome game. the first time I played it, I was immediatly hooked. this game has every type of racing you can think of. my personal favorite is the rage, I just like the idea of seeing how many cars you can wreck before the finish line, or when your car is totaled. I also enjoy the crash, I find it very challenging. I always like to plan out the way the crash is going to happen, how the car is going to land and roll, etc. I do recommend this game to anyone of all ages.
