Don't Even Think About Buying This Game

I've played every Turok game since the first one on the Nintendo 64. I loved the first one. The second one was okay. The third one was confusing. And the fourth installment was really just for multiplayer purposes and there were sooo many other games with a single player mode also that were so much better. So the Turok series was going downhill.

However, I saw clips of Turok Evolution and I was thinking 'Oh Dear Lord, this game is going to be so good!' And guess what the guy at EB told me when I bought it. "You have 15 days to return it." I returned it in four days. Not only is the single player so limitted to its graphics and weaponry, but so is the multiplayer.

No matter what your reason may be for buying this game, don't. For your child, your friend, for yourself. Stick with the original Turok like I did

This game is defiannlty worth a purchase. I was lucky enough to pick up a copy 3 days before its supposed release, and it is utterly awesome. Graphics are great, beautifully detatiled dinos and plants make for great playing environments, while the weapons and gore and to the fun factor, which is also very high. The multiplayer is also very fun and can keep you going for a long time. My only complaint is that the loading tiem are a little to long but its worth it in the end. Go buy!

Turok never look so good

when is comes the FPS's (first person shooter) the Turok Line of games is one of the best. its the only game that you get to kill most everything in your path for the forces of good... and get rocken guns to do it. this game happens to be a prequill and i know how some may go " holy [crud] now where are we" dont fret were still in the lost land fighting as the fireseed's only the graphics are better sound is all arouynd you and the baddies are smarted... yeha you herd me smarter.. using team tatics that even our military can aploud. lets just say when it comes to a game every turok. books, comics, games... there all worh the money. this will be a definite buy if you have the cash and you like to kill for blood...

horrible...

the graphics are under par, the opening sequence ..., and the play control is the worst yet on the gamecube.
Rent first.

What is with the controls????

The game itself is amazing. Cool waepons, a great multiplayer mode, amazing AI etc..., but the controls are impossible to get the hang of unless you spend a couple of hours messing around. I have been playing games for 14 years now and it makes me mad when the programmers put this much effort into a game and then screw up the whole experience by designing the worst control concept I've ever seen. (it would be 5 stars were in not for the controls)
Trust me, RENT THIS GAME FIRST.

HERE ARE THE PRO'S AND CON'S ABOUT ACCLAIM'S "TUROK EVOLUTION". LET'S START WITH THE PRO'S.. AFTER A FEW MINUTES THE AWKWARD CONTROLS BECOME A BREEZE, SO DON'T GIVE UP WHEN YOUR STARING AT THE SKY AND A RAPTOR IS GNAWING AT YOUR ANGLES. THERE IS A SLIGHT LEARNING CURVE. ANOTHER PRO IS THE BEAUTIFUL 128 BIT GRAPHICS. TUROK HAS NEVER LOOKED BETTER. THE WEAPONS ARE UNIQUE AND PLENTIFUL. GAME PLAY IS ALWAYS THE MOST IMPORTANT FACTOR. IT IS FUN & CHALLENGING TO PROGRESS. AND THAT'S A QUAILITY. NOW FOR THE CON'S.. LOADING TIMES ARE QUITE LOOOOONG. YOU CAN GRAB A SNACK AND GO TO THE RESTROOM WHILE WAITING. THE ONLY OTHER CON IS THE ENEMY RESPONSE, FOR EXAMPLE I SHOOT A LONGNECK DINOSAUR ABOUT TEN TIMES AND IT NEVER REACTED TO THE INFLICTION. IT JUST CONTINUED TO EAT FROM A TREE AND DRINK FROM THE BROOK. SO I TOOK OFF ONE STAR FOR THESE FLAWS. OTHER THAN THAT, I RECOMMEND THIS GAME. IT IS A WORTHY ADDITION TO YOUR GAMECUBE INVENTORY.

I love first person shooters, and when I saw some of the screen shots for the new Turok game I was excited. I rented this game last weekend and I was thourghly disappointed. First, the game takes forever and a day to load up, which I have never experienced before on a console. Second, while the graphics are not bad, they are not a great use of the gaming systems capabilities. As for the game play, well, it's horrible. It takes one forever to get used to the controls and then the play is unispiring and boring. The game goes from insanely difficult and times to just plain easy. The AI is also sometimes too hard, then just too easy. I did not like the flow of the game or it's style. While I did not get to use the multiplayer function, I'm assuming it to not be bad, so this maybe a good rental, but if you are looking for a good first person shooter, don't get this.

Great game, if u have not seen preview in movies do not waste time just buy one. Great animation and solid ammunition and platforms. Looks and feels real like never before.

Only one thing the label donot have: warning u will be addicted (like alchohol or whatever). Choose long weekend in a remote place as u dodnot want anyone to disturb u or your great game not to disturb them.
