I bought this game for my teenager and found it is a horrible influence on a child. It shows graphic images of the bounty hunter shooting and burning his targets (people!) and I believe that is just mind-numbing for a child who is still developing his understanding of the world around him. It should not be rated Teen, it should be mature. I am very disappointed in the "Star Wars" name for this game. For the record, my son and his friends loved to play it, but it took less than a day to realize how they reacted to this game. We replaced it with a different game (rated E) immediately.
Best there is!

If u like Star Wars you'll love this. You're Jango Fett, the meanest of the mean. The most ruthless of the ruthles. U use a jetpack, a missile, dual Weststar-34 blasters, a sniper rifle, and grenades. The levels r awesome. U also get to kick some low-life "rear end".
Nice shoot'em-up but poor Playstation-like movement control

The visuals of the cutscenes are beautiful but the game itself does not take full advantage of the Gamecube's graphics capabilities. The polygons, textures and scenery range from "blah" to "very good". A few graphic elements stand out as excellent and make the game worthwhile: Jango's metallic suit looks very slick from any angle, and the missiles are an incredible weapon with stunning sound effects and accompanying animation. The flame-thrower and it's horrid effect on people is ultra-realistic--for this reason alone I believe THIS GAME SHOULD BE RATED MATURE, NOT TEEN.
The game also neglects to take full advantage of the GC's analog controller stick, there are only two speeds: walk or run depending how far the joystick is pushed and the speed of rotate left or right is fixed and way too fast. For me, on the levels which require execution of a series of jumps across chasms while avoiding blaster-fire and so on, the greater challenge is to overcome the poor control rather than any challenge of solving the levels themselves.
However, poor joystick movement is all-too typical of Playstation games ported to GC and N64, so if you are used to it this may not be an issue for you at all. I feel it is a downright shame the programmers didn't design the joystick responsiveness and sensitivity more like "Perfect Dark" or "GoldenEye" (both are N64 games which do take full advantage of Nintendo's analog joysticks)--if they had I would have rated this game 5/5. Otherwise I agree with the reviews posted by "Marc H. from Napa, CA" and "Bryce Mohan".

I played this game earlier for the first time today, and I was blown away. YOu have all of Jango's weapons, like TOXICC DARTS, FLAMETHROWERS, and lets not forget DUAL BLASTER PISTOLS. At first you run around with no jetpack, but then you see an idiot salesman selling them and you force him a tgunpoint (hey, you are a villain, you know) to give it to you. Then Bounty Hunter becomes fun. As you can rocket around and shoot from the air and laugh at all the ledges that gave you so much trouble before. GREAT FUN. This game simply rocks, and as a matter of fact, I'm going to go play it now.
Best Star Wars game ever!

Ever wondered if a Star War game could capture the essence of the movies?Well,I hate to dissapoint you but the story in this game is way better than Episode 1 and Episode2.You are Jango Fett,a kick ass bounty hunter equipped with super cool weapons and gadgets. The graphics are good (8/10),the gameplay is simple (9/10),the story is amazing (10/10),sound is really great with Star Wars themes along the way (9/10).If you like action games with a great story behind then you must own this game, even if you're not a Star Wars fan or hate Jango Fett....it's that good!!!May the force be with you!
This Game is awsome!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

This game rocks! Totally ignore the guy who wrote a review saying the graphics are terrible. There are games with better graphics out there but what's more important gameplay or graphics. You get to play as Jango Fett (which in itself makes this a great game) and battle through eighteen huge levels. you get loads of different weapons such as grenade launchers, flame throwers, a sniper rifle, and a bunch of others. This isn't one of those piece o' junk games that you can beat in one day, this one actually gives you a challenge. Definetly buy this game.

I bought this game when it first came out in December 02. I had read a lot about it and was really expecting it to be awesome. After all, I am a huge SW fan. I even liked the game a lot after I had gotten it and had played through the first couple levels. The problem is, as you progress further in the game, you realize "I'm not having any fun." A lot of the levels make it totally unclear where to go, so much so that you'll find yourself wasting 1/2 hour just wandering around through areas where you've already been and wondering how to move on. And the lack of camera control is fine in the early levels, but once you've gotten the jetpack and you have to do a lot of jumping around from platform to platform, it really gets annoying when you can't see where to go next because the camera won't move while you're hanging from a ledge. My final criticism is that the actual bounty hunting seems cool at first, but winds up just being an annoyance. When you get your first 5-10 bounties, you think it's a great new idea that makes the game interesting. But then you go on, and you'll be in a situation where you have 20 guys shooting at you, and you can't take the time to scan for bounties without getting killed, and you can't control Jango's targeting efficiently enough to only shoot the guys who aren't bounties. And you start thinking, "how is the bounty hunting really adding anything to the game?" And you start wanting to just ignore that aspect of the game entirely and just treat it like a normal FPS. But then, if the central theme of the game (i.e. bounty hunting) seems pointless, that's a sign of a big flaw in the game design.
Now I'll talk about things I liked...
The FMVs, voice acting, sound effects, music, graphics
But in the end, this game just gets annoying because of poor level design, clumsy controls, and restrictive camera control.
My advice: You should rent this game and play it until you get past the level with the insane number of conveyors on it. If you pass that level and you're still not majorly annoyed with the game, go ahead and buy it.
