When I was in grades 6th through 8th jedi knight and mysterious of sith was my life, especially multiplayer. My buddy that i used to play against burnt me a copy of this and told me to try out the new and improved. And I am. I am glad that he burnt it for me cause there was no way i was gonna pay for this thing. I remember jk and mots and i remember that it wasnt as impossible as this, hell it took me 3 hours to past the second level. I like shooter-er-upers but not when you have 50 stormtroopers on you to AT-St's and you have keep your allies alive or the missions over. Kinda impossible espcially since none of your weapons are able to knock the AT-ST out. Beside that JK was fun cause it had fun levels to it something new and exploering. These levels are similair to MOTS where they are boring and plain and every room has 100 stormtroopers for you to kill so you can go on and fight another 100 in the next room, then backtrack to go find a key that will open one door that you cant even find when you wanna get back. Plus you have to wait 5 levels for a lightsaber whats up with that? JK it only took 3 levels boom you got it on in instant. Graphics are a plus....if u have a computer card and [stuff] like that, well i dont, it runs well but like whenever 100 guards come at ya it slows a ... lot down, which is annoying ... Frankly I was pleased with the graphics in JK and MOTS and didnt think they needed improvement but what can ya do. Buy if ur a big fan but just go get JK or MOTS or even the original Dark Forces.
DO NOT BUY THIS GAME

THIS GAME...is the biggest waste of money I have ever spent. I absolutely love Jedi Knight - Dark Forces II. That is one of the best games I have ever played. So I had understandably high expectations for Jedi Knight II: Jedi Outcast. And the screen shots on the LucasArts site looked cool. I couldn't find a Demo version to download and try, so I just went out and bought it. I even splurged...for the Collector's Edition with the two other Jedi Knight games and the keychain.
If you are familiar with Jedi Knight - Dark Forces II, you will find this game incredibly frustrating. Here are my complaints:
1) There is the issue of graphics quality. I am using the game on one of the latest and fastest PCs, and the game is still very choppy and the graphics are very geometric. Very poor quality.
2) I cannot figure out how to get past the first cutscene featuring Mon Mothma asking Kyle Katarn to check out the Valley of the Jedi. When I die, or whenever I start the game, I have to sit through this dross again and twiddle my thumbs.
3) The controls are totally different than those of Jedi Knight - Dark Forces II. Even if you have the patience to go into the keyboard settings and chance the keys so their functionality tries to match that of Jedi Knight, there are all these new weapons that make it very difficult to decide which key to use for which weapon or feature.
4) Performance [stinks]. Kyle doesn't jump high enough to actually reach anything. It is so incredibly hard to kill anyone by shooting them because your aim has to be totally dead-on (no pun intended), the gunfire is very slow, and the gunfire doesn't home in on the enemy if you aim sort-of nearby (like it did in Jedi Knight). I keep wanting to use keys as they worked in Jedi Knight. It's just very disappointing.
I am not even encouraged to get a slight distance past the Shuttle Tydirium at the beginning of the first level. It is just so annoying. What a waste of money. I could spend less...on one of the LucasArts Archive games and have more fun than I am having with this...
And I am really upset that LucasArts would release something like this OBVIOUSLY before it is in decent shape. They should have used Jedi Knight as a model and not changed a damn thing except improve the graphics a bit and create new levels. They messed everything up by changing the functions, adding weapons, and making it only usable by people who can drop [money] on a new computer.
Great game, but some issues drag down the hype.

The SAGA continues! We have finally received a sequel to JK!!! JK2 is a good game. It has the features of JK, and brings them up to the max!
To start, JK2's graphics are EXTREMELY improved! It uses the Quake 3 Graphics engines to utilize the best graphics in games today! It has BEAUTIFUL landscapes, and character details are AMAZING! Kyle Katarn has never looked so good!
The gameplay is nothing to scream about. It is exactly like JK's. That's probably a good thing. I found a few probs with gameplay tho. I realized that the aiming mechanism is somewhat inaccurate at times. Because the aimer always stays in the same position, you should always have the same accurate aiming. Although, this game doesn't have that. This is definetely not a game for Tactical Shooters fans.
I also found that replay value is OK. There are 4 difficulty levels at which you can beat the game at, but I don't think that is enough. I mean, can't we atleast get a few alternative paths or SOMETHING??? It's the same game played over and over again, but at harder levels. Some people may find this cheap, but I think it's OK if you just start at the medium or hardest difficulty level. I started at Padawan (the first difficulty), and it's still pretty challenging. Expect to be infront of you computer a lot frusterated about a puzzle you must solve.
In general, this is a MUST for all JK fans. Tactical shooters fans may find this game a bit annoying, and people that are not fans of the first person shooter genre should not think about getting this game. FPS fans should consider buying the game, and may want to play the demo before purchasing. All in all, this is a game for the JK fans and FPS fans. I'm out now, so PEACE. Hope this helps!
Buy it, period.

This is one of the best games ever! I bought it a year ago and I ma still playing it, frequently. Single player action is great , with lots of movie like scenarios, storm troopers and the music score (awesome). Multiplayer action is just what I have always wanted dto do, show off jedi powers, force push enemies, throw lightsabers, etc etc. with max payne and ghost recon this game is still at the very top.

The original Jedi Knight (along with the Mysteries of the Sith expansion/addition) have been nothing short of spectacular and are still very popular with gamers even though they are already several years old.
Jedi Outcast has enhanced graphics and gameplay which will make it that much better than the original Jedi Knight. I definitely recommend this product to any Star Wars fan or gamer.

If you love watching Jedi battles then pick this one up its great however in the first few levels you dont get lightsabers you get them a bit later and Ill tell you this is one really long game good story you get to fight along side with lukeskywalker or Lando. Not to mention the force powers from lightning to lightsaber throw mindtrick push and more so you can think of multiple ways for taking out your enemys
The multiplayer is very fun tons of games and levels and gamemodes pick from tons of charecters and pick what color you want your lightsaber to be.Playing Capture the flag with lightsabers is alot of fun
So if you own a Computer,PS2,Gamecube,or an Xbox and you like lightsabers then order this game right now
Unbelievable

This is the best action game i have seen in years. The graphics are astounding and the gameplay is captivating. There are such a wide variety of ways to kill enemies, and the game is quite challenging. I experienced no technical problems whatsoever. If you have a computer...buy this game!

At first I thought this game would be fun, but the first level was very hard. It took two weeks to the first level not to mention the puzzles and hidden switches in every single level. The cutscene looks terrible. There are somethings I like about this game like the lightsaber, weapons and the storyline. The multiplayer is even more terrible if you have a 56K modem. I'm a star wars fans but I have to say this game could have been better. If you have to choose from Jedi starfighter or Jedi outcast, I recommend Jedi Starfighter.
LOL! Star Wars!!!

Anyone who is anyone will know that Jedi Knight II was an awesome game.
You would also know that Raven perhaps created the only good Star Trek game (Elite Force).
With all the newly recently released Star Wars games being..., Raven will be our rescue and plunge back the Star Wars games to the top!
I suggest pre-ordering this now so that you don't rush to the stores when it comes out.
P.S. I'm not 12, I simply didn't want to sign up.
