Unbelievable

5 Rating: 5, Useful: 3 / 26

This is the best action game i have seen in years. The graphics are astounding and the gameplay is captivating. There are such a wide variety of ways to kill enemies, and the game is quite challenging. I experienced no technical problems whatsoever. If you have a computer...buy this game!

whoever wrote "unbelivable" is stupid

First off, this game won't be relesed for almost a year, so ever wrote "unbelievable" is making a lots of stuff up. By the time this game is released, this game may be way behind the pack, or way ahead; no one knows because it is almost a year from now. Don't listen to him. Besides, who would beleive "some guy from Bonerland"?

Katarn vs. the Sarlacc!

5 Rating: 5, Useful: 6 / 24
Date: June 21, 2001

The best level is the one in which Katarn falls into the maw of the Sarlacc, where he learns a new definition of pain as he is slowly digested over 1000 years! Warning: That level takes place in real time, so it might take a while to complete. The only power available is Force Decompose, so don't even try Force Jump. And your puny Jedi Mind Trick won't work on me--I mean him!

Kyle Katarn quickly became my favorite character in the gaming world. In "Dark Forces", the first of the series, you really only begin to learn the basic brute skills of fighting. You also learn several mind skills, not powers, but necessary exercises to prepare you for the coming hazards in the next challenge. "Dark forces II: Jedi Knight", brought in a new level of graphics and a whole bunch of new worlds to explore. Jedi force powers make dog meat out of the villains. A new darkness arises, and Kyle Katarn destroys one Dark Jedi at a time, until he finally bring's a new balance to the force. Also you learn the tragic and mystical nature of Kyle's past. In "Mysteries of the Syth", you meet a new character named Mara Jade, Kyle Katarns Apprentice in training. What seperates this game from the others in skill, is the awesome long-distance sniper scope attatched to your quick fire storm pistol...
This new addition to the series, Outcast, will develope Kyle's skills. With Familiar, and new world's and the ability to ride the line, using both light and dark skills, it will no doubt be a blast from the old briar pistol. But, will the graphics surpass Alice? I personally shout out the challenge to the design crew. (The five stars were given only in hope!) It was reported at several websites that the critical viewers were stunned with the new graphics that they saw at Lucas Art's game display expo. They say it stole the show, even though there were higher anticipated games on display. It's a great sign. ~SAOS~

The original Jedi Knight (along with the Mysteries of the Sith expansion/addition) have been nothing short of spectacular and are still very popular with gamers even though they are already several years old.
Jedi Outcast has enhanced graphics and gameplay which will make it that much better than the original Jedi Knight. I definitely recommend this product to any Star Wars fan or gamer.

I have Star Wars Episode1 the Phantom Menace and it's fun and has good graphics, but compared to this those are not even graphics. I can't wait for it to come out I am going to get the first day it comes out but if I were you I would not preorder it by the time it comes out the price will probally be a little bit lower. But in any case if your a grown up once it comes out go get it if your a kid go beg your parents to get it for you.

Have you ever wondered what It would be like to slice off the arm of a storm trooper? How about using the force to shove people out of the way. Have you ever wanted to have a lightsaber zoom into your hand? Well if you have, then this game is for you. It has all of those things plus OH so much more. Get ready for the greatest game of 2002!!

How Good Games Go Bad

I have played the first jedi knight, and I thought that it was freakishly horrific. You other people don't have a clue what you are talking about, but I do. I have the PC Gamer magazine that talks about this game, and it looked pretty bad to me. Plus, I don't like the way Raven makes the game: it makes them (...), just like Elite Force. The Quake III engine is just as bad as everything else, so I am not too happy about the release of this game!

Say what??

(...) Ask anyone that plays PC Games, and they will tell you that Jedi Knight was a revolution when it hit the shelves. It was the first game to boast such expansive levels, and along with the Star Wars license, the game was awesome. People still play that game, and with all the usermade mods/skins/levels you can clearly see that Jedi Knight was an awesome game. Now getting to Jedi Outcast, I do agree with you that the Quake 3 engine is not the best, but DAMN (am I allowed to say that) it looks GOOD! Its not Doom 3, but have you seen any clips for Jedi Outcast? The game is gonna be awesome, and it better be because Lucasarts knows that this is their last chance to please the PC market. Either way guys, this game is gonna be great, I mean its Star Wars, done be a team that knows what they're doing. Raven is that team by the way (...)
