Mega Man games are simplistic and fun, and never get boring. I still play the series on my NES, and my favorite is MM2. I will be getting this series because you would have to be an idiot not to see the overwhelming value here. It's a one time chance to pay < 30 bucks to receive games that will never cease to be great, no matter how technically impressive graphics processors get. The beauty of 8-bit is the simple elegance of the character sprites. A good test is to go play Resident Evil 1 on the Playstation and compare the graphics to Mega Man one. RE looks ugly while MM looks clean and crisp, yet simple.
Such a great collection!!

Finally I have a great reason to spend all summer in front of my console playing this amazing collection of games! MegaMan is one of the greatest creations of the video game world, and this set features all of the best moments. The two extra games and all the secret material is great too!
Old School RULES!!!

A great idea that went horribly wrong...

I'm a huge fan of this game, but I will say like all the others before me, the controls for the GC are really messed up. I love these games though, which is why I gave it a 3 despite this disaster. I mean didn't they have play-testers for this? I honestly can't believe that this is a mistake.
I beg you all, if you're going to buy this (which I suggest you do) get the PS2 version instead. At least then you'll actually be able to play without stabbing yourself in the face.
Megaman is Megafun

The best thing about Megaman has to be the gameplay. You can go as slow as you want or you can go as fast as you want to beat the game. The graphics and sounds are traditional, but in addition you are given a new tips feature to help with tricky parts you might encounter and a map to help navigating the levels.
A lot of people complain about the A and B buttons being backward and I did too for a little while, until I realized it isn't a problem to just adjust to the controller. After a little practice with the B button to jump, it feels normal.
I like to buy games that last me a long time. The collection is a game that can be replayed as as much as you want and you'll never get tired of it. Take my word for it, you will like this game.
Mega Game, but I dunno why people complain...

This has got to be one of the BEST game compilations ever made. Mega Man's creative flair and charm never fail to amaze me. You get 10 games for the price of a budget title or a Gmeboy Advance game, at about $3 a game. Included in this title is:
Mega Man 1-8
Mega Man Power Battle(you have to unlock it)
Mega Man Power Fighters(you have to unlock it)
Every facet of the game is totally awesome. You get 10 games, if you get the GC version, you get developer interview(which I find MUCH more interesting than a cartoon episode of Mega MAn on PS2), and you get remixed music for 1-6(still havent found it). But the only thing is... a SLIGHT, and I emphasize on the SLIGHT, dissapointment. The B button is to JUMP and the A button is to SHOOT. It really isnt that bad at all. I dont know why people complain, even though you cant change controller settings. But it only takes about 10-15 minutes to get used to it... Dont let a slight controller mishap deterr you from getting a slice of gaming history.

When I bought this I thought it will be the best. But it was a major let down. After getting used to the controls of A Jump and B Fire and now its the opposite.I was looking forward to this my whole life waiting for it to come. When i finally got a copy of this after shopping over 5 stores I was proud.I even cleaned my Gamecube before playing it.It was a let down when I play it im still trying to get used to the controls.I recommened it to people who don't care about controllers.
At last, the good Mega Man!

Take it from me, Mega Man is not doing so good these days. This brings brings back the best moments he ever had. A lot of people are complaining about the controller, but you will get used to it. The only game not worth it is Mega Man 7. Also, a lot are complaining about the graphics. What do you expect from the orginal NES games (Exclude arcade and MM 8)?
In order to unlock the special features such as the hidden games or music, you need to get to a certain point in each of the eight games.
A good thing about this is that you can now set the game on easy instead of super hard.
It is so hard, it will rip your arm off and beat you with it. But if you put enough hours, you can win by instinct.
The game is so hard, I feel for you. Just click on my name and look for my e-mail at the bottom of about me. Send me an request and I will send you a guide for exposing the bosses weaknesses. Unless you actually know me, please do not put anything personal in the request.
Update: The biggest problem is that this game is really only for Mega Man fans. Mega Man one through eight is the same type of controls, only differing by items, power-ups, and bosses. THAT IS ALL. The games 9 and 10 are Mega Man fighting games. The first one is bad with random fights and a horrible health bar, but the tenth game is just stupid fun for you and your friend.
If you like Mega Man, get it.
More Megaman than you can handle.

This game has 10 Megaman games in it. The first Megaman was made back in the 1980's. Graphics are the same. Playability is the same. It took me just as long to get through the levels as it used to.
Was I ever good at these?

Wow, playing these games makes me realize that I must have been insanely good at games when I was a kid! These are HARD! The earlier games in the series are much harder than the later games (I vaguely remember that the bosses had to be beaten in a certain order... to the Internet searches!). Maybe I'm not as patient as I was, but I find myself only playing these when I'm in the mood. The play feels really stiff compared to, say, Mario, but if you want agonizing jumping action you'd be hard pressed to find anything better!
