I really, really enjoy Megaman, and thats why I bought this game but, now I regret it! When I bought this game I thought I was buying gold. Instead, I bought a peice of CRAP! First of all this game does not support any stereo or surround sound, it's just mono. Second of all! the controls don't make any sense. You have to use the "B" botton to jump and the "A" botton to shoot. I have no idea why Capcom did that but, I guess it would take getting use to. Third of all! On Megaman 8 you can hardley hear the voices of the characters. The voices on the cut scenes also have problems. They sound like they're talking in front of fans(air fans). Honestly the Megaman 8 for the oringinal Playstation was much better than this. The music(wich G4 terriblie remixed)and 2 extra games are what keeps me from giving it a 1 out of 5.
Finally, The Mega has come back to NGC!!!

Now this what I'm talking about! Not that pathetic MM Network series that's on the GC, but the originals - when gaming was gaming. This is the B-bomber at his best, 8 of the greatest shooter-adventures of all time. Before this compilation, I went out and purchased a NES and MMs 1-5, but now, I can just dish out 30-something $ for 10 great games. Capcom fell out of favor with me when the discontinued the SF series and turned the MM to crap, but now I at least get to relive the glory days and play like its 1995. Kudos, Capcom!
COOL MEGA FUN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

This game is awesome the control scheme takes just a little getting used to but in five minutes you will understand the scheme...The graphics are dead on to the ports of the old nintendo, snes, and psx game. Plus that it also has two eclusive videogames that never game out in america..I love mega man 8..Also I love how much thought goes into the mega man in the fact that you have to beat one boss and then take the weapon that they have and use it so you can beat the next boss..Here is a tip for mega man 8 (Use the soccer ball type weapon on the Samurai type robot, then use his weapon on the clown type robot, then his weapon on the snow type robot.) I won' go on any further you will just have to figure the rest out for yourself...Also in megaman games 1-7 you have to write down the passwords so make sure you write them down or you won't be able to start back from the same area you will have to start from the beginning..In megaman 8 you won't have to worry the game is automatically saving for you. CAPCOM you are great and let's hope that the GBA version which will have five megaman games be just a great if not awesome to the GC/PS2 version..

I LOVED Mega Man, probably my favorite series of games aside from side scrolling Super Mario. I was so excited to get to play these games again. But, what I find is I can hardly play them! After years of being used to playing with the controls a certain way, I'm just constantly frustrated more than having fun. I DON'T recommend buying this game just for that reason, because you'll just end up getting mad after a few minutes. Which is too bad, because I was really looking forward to playing :( Capcom really should do a recall on this one... ugh.
THIS GAME ROCKS

ive been a huge fan of megaman and ive been playing his games since i was 3 years old(ya that long). Whne my bro bought this i was excited and couldnt wait to play the game. The first problem was that i got super confused with the controls...but no i didnt get mad it just takes a little while to get used to them, and now ive gotten used to em. Theres a series of unlockables to get and it's fun getting unlockables such as videos, music, pictures
everything. The never released arcade games are really fun and plus theres a 2 player mode on that game you can play with a friend to help beat the robot masters!!!. If your starting to become a megaman fan i recomend this one because this was the beginning of megaman and a great way to start as a fan. Also i recomend it to die-hard megaman fans i garuntee you once you play this game you will never turn your back
only missing megaman Soccer.

I have been fan of the entire megaman seris from the time I was five, this is a great game if you missed out on some of his original titles cause you were born the same year this cult icon was made.I you have a game boy advance you will be a great complement to this game would be the Anniversary edtion of the original game boy game redone with visuals that match first 5 games(NES) but, to get the whole MM experience you must also get Megaman and Bass (like the guitar) for the GBA. For those complaining about MM soccer it is not in the game and it ultimatle has nothing to do with the bluebombers story but it is a must have if you ownt he original (NES) cart. the japanes have released a GBA part that can be adapted to make a psuedo-nomad-Nes-GBA type deal.... so if your a TMNT fan you can bust out your famico games and start kicking some but old school.

First off the original Mega Man games are much harder than the X and Zero games. I'm excellent at the X games and fair at the Zero games. The Original Mega Man games can be beaten. What you'll need though is time and patience. After you get the patterns down it becomes much easier. Just remember that all the games will require your commitment in order to get the more out of them.
What I've always wanted, flaws aside

First off, to the reviewer Big Joe below. If you're going to be a smarta$$, atleast get your facts straight. I've been playing Mega Man for 12 years, take it from me, the position AND therefore which buttons do what have been changed for the Gamecube version of this game. The "B" button is not on the right on the NES pad (I looked it up on Google), it's on the left and the "A" button is on the right, just like the gc pad. Why the hell would they change that anyway? Just like in Super Mario Bros, you jumped with A in Mega Man and shot with B.
So even if you get somewhat used to it after a while, you still forget it at the most inappropriate moments. Like there's a ceiling with spikes and you jump up and die instead of shooting. And because of the positions you can't jump and shoot as efficient as you could in the original games. Why they have decided to make this change is beyond me. If I had a PS2 and knew about this, I'd buy that version instead hands down just because of this important detail.
But other than the screwed up-controls I think it's a great compilation. I can play Mega Man 1 over and over again, I just can't get enough of it. I had to import MMAC from the US but it was well worth it. The Hori controller I can also recommend for a feeling closer the original NES games.
