This game is 100% attitude and 100% fun. This a perfect game for a party. You get the same classic characters like Mario, Luigi, Peach, Yoshi, DK, Wario, and Waluigi. The objest of the game is to win and recieve the Birthday present. This game has great graphics and special effects. The cast and background is in 3d and keeps up the good name of Mario Party. Oh they have 50 brand new mini games.
It ReAlLy is Da besT parTY gAME!

This game is fun for a while, but if you have the other Mario Party games you'll almost be playing the same game. I think you should save your money for a really good game. If you really want to play it rent it first and see how you like it.
Still a ton of fun.

This game continues where the 3 previous ones left off. This game seems easier to play, and has a high replay value. There is a mode in which the players compete through a series of the "game boards" to gather "presents" to add to a display in a certain part of game. I have not gathered them all yet, as I have only had the game a few weeks.
To players of the previous games--Slot Car racing is gone! If you're like me, that is a good thing. There's also none of the "rotate the stick" games that produced many blisters.
The game is suitable for all ages, and it is easy enough to pick up on that it may replace Scrabble on borad game night!
It looks like the prty has left Mario

Well, this review is coming from a long time nintendo lover and Mario party fan. I'm sad to say i'm disgusted with this game. I played the previous 3 too. With a lack of mini-games (And even less fun ones) this title will bore you to death. In the previous games, they were so hard they were fun. Now, it's TOO easy. Pathetic. If it's a weekend and you don't have chores/school/work you can pretty much polish off this whole game in one sitting. Don't get me wrong, it's OK, but compared to the others, this thing sucks like a leech. Save your money and buy a used N64 and Mario Party 1 (For less probably) and get more fun outta it. Either that, or wait untill it's 20$ in the bargain bin.
Great game but better than Smash Bros?I think not.

This is a great game cause you can play against CPUs as well as humans. There are great visuals and its as much fun as Super Monkey Ball 1 and 2. However, this isnt as good as Super Smash Bros and the sequel Super Smash Bros Melee.Smash Bros is a straightforward brawler with excellent music and fast paced action and tons of options. This has options but only 5 of them are really fun. But I got to hand it to the visual department cause this game really kicks some [hiney] And Whomp from Super Mario 64 is in this game! Buy this game if you want to be in on the best of Nintendo.
Pretty good

This is nothing spectacular, they could have used so much more sound files for character voices and the amount of mini-games doesn't really impress, but it's good for a rental when your friends come by on the weekend. Best party game on next-gen systems so far (but that's no contest).
I hope to see a sequel each year, improving every element.
Wow what were they thinking

Yes the mini games were new and somewhat fun but they hurt your hands. however the maps weren't creative at all. They were all square shaped. I was really upset about this game. and also the lack of fun. It should have been good but the maps were horrible. I've played it once and thought wow this game is bad. Then I went back to my old N64 and played Mario party 3. Maybe the next one will be better but until then I would not buy this game.
The best investment I've made for my Gamecube

I have both violent games and just flat out fun games for my system. This game falls into the latter category of flat out fun. I kind of balked at the price in the beginning, but decided to buck up and buy it rather than keep forking out money to rent it every Friday. This game is the perfect excuse to gather the family around the tv and enjoy time together. There is no violence (except for getting stomped on by another player and losing coins LOL), the rules are simple, and the games are very fun and vividly alive with color. The reason it's priced as it is is: there is soooo much to do in this game, it's a wonder they fit it all on that mini-disc! There are different modes of play, including the multi-player party mode and the single player story mode. There are over 70 mini-games you play within bigger game. The competiton is fierce but clean and fun, and there is some strategy involved (but not so involved as to where you need a walkthrough). The game contains different board-style games, each with it's own unique story and characters. The graphics are bright and well-rendered in a cartoonish style that both kids and adults will like. Even when you have to wait your turn, that gives you another reason to chat with the friends and family, have a laugh or two, and figure out your strategy for your next turn. This is probably my favorite game, and I will deifinitely get more out of it than what I paid in for it!!!
