This game looks great! It is a card based RPG, which means you go around collecting cards, and you use them to summon creatures to do battle for you. It is the first RPG available for the Gamecube, and it is also exclusive!!
Great Game ... But kind of short

I rented this game first, but after a while I decided to buy it. The special thing about this game is that unlike other RPG games, you can walk around and avoid being hit. The controls a very simple. The card aspect gave this game a special touch, you can transform, buy, sell, and copy your cards to best fit your needs. Unlike most RPG games, you don't gain the experiance points, your cards do. The audio in this game isn't very great. Although the music fits the levels, it gets annoying after a while, and instead of graceful, light steps a princess would make, you have a loud THUMP every time she touches the ground. Another bad thing about this game is that she is completly helpless if you run out of cards.
I think this game would be better and more complex than Luigi's Mansion and Pikmin,
This game is designed for RPG and adventure gamers, unless you want to stick around and collect all the cards or fairy's, this game is short and a renter for other people.
the best game in the world

This game is very fun, but the controls take some getting used to. Also, what really stinks is that after you beat a level, you can't go back to it. Also, you have a deck of thirty cards, and you use power crystals to play them. And unless you have a card that brings cards back, they are gone for the rest of the levels. Here, I'll rate all the stuff in the game:
GAMEPLAY: A- Although it is very fun, it ends too quickly. The battle system is very repetitive. Another reason that it's fun is because there are 105 cards to collect.
GRAPHICS: B+ The graphics were overall very good. BUT, the people in the game don't move very much.
CONTROLS: C The buttons can be confusing, because there are four different buttons for playing cards.
OVERALL: A- The game is good. You can beat in 5 hours, so this game is more of a rent.
pretty good and pretty short

Okay, I got this at blockbuster and was imediatly adicted (I always am when I get a new game). the gameplay was really good at first, but then I noticed that you run out of cards really fast and there's no way to get them back (Untill you get a cetain card) I found that extremly frustrating.
Also, the controls are confusing at first then easy, after that the actual gameplay becomes confusing, with all the figuring out what card is what just by looking at a confusing picture.
This game was really fun but waaaay too short. I had had it beat in under 2 days.
Overall though, this game is very good and might last a while if you take it slowly and don't stay up all night playing it (Like me) You should probably get a used one too.
A Major Disappointment

When I heard that the first RPG for gamecube was coming out, I immediately pre-ordered it. When I finally got it, I was shocked!
IT [was weak]. The movement was awkward, and the camera angles were just... wierd! When I finally started to understand the battle system, I was even more [upset], because that [was weak] too! You collect these cards, use them in battle, and with one use, it disappears! You can easily get [confused] if you aren't extremely careful with your cards. All in all, I put this game down a few hours in and sold it to my friend. And it is a decision that I don't regret....
An OK Card Game

Lost Kingdoms is not a bad game, once you get used to the controls. The graphics are not that bad and the music is great.
It's not an extensive, thought provoking game. I basically use this as a time killer. The fun really comes in after you've beaten the game (after which you can go through and redo any level to get a higher score and find anything you've missed) and have a full deck. Then when you have multiple people playing you can duel (in a rather small arena).
Like most people have said so far, unless you REALLY like card games, your best bet is just to rent this.
Card game genre hit the gamecube

This is the best game that no one knows about. It is a card game based (like Magic: The Gathering) RPG. This makes the game very interesting and fun. The graphics are superb (considering 2001 release), sound is okay, and the controls are very intuitive. The game is relatively easy for an RPG, with occasional places of difficulty. The gameplay downside is that levels beaten can not be reentered until after beating the game. This is a great game for both card game and RPG fans and I look foward to Lost Kingdoms II.
Nice RPG, ends to quick

The gameplay is nice. It was like combining Final Fantasy and the card game Magic. The only bad part is that I have reached the end guy with less than 5 hours of game play. Definetly NOT worth the cash!

This game is an excellent rpg game, but i prefer to wait for Phantasy Star Online. In this game you are a princess that has to destroy the evil on 5 kingdoms. When you are playing you must collect near 100 magic cards and fight with them.
It's also for 2 players.
