I've had SO much fun with this game! I love it! Long time Star Wars fan and gamer, I picked this up because it looked interesting and I've heard great reviews from friends...and they weren't wrong!

Aside from the amazing game play and simple but very effective controls, there's humor in the game at every turn. I found I loved watching the cut scenes again and again (and would re-play a level just to watch it) I also loved the screams of some of the characters (Jarjar and Yoda above all) as they fall off cliffs. But I think the one thing that impressed me the most was the 2nd player drop in, drop out feature. What's that? Did you get an unexpected guest at your front door while in the middle of playing a level? Hand them the extra controller and have at for twice the fun! Did they have to suddenly run? Easy enough, drop them out and continue on!

This game is great for kids and adults (and those of us who are of adult age but don't want to quite admit it yet) I'd highly recommend this for anyone.

LEGO Star Wars is a good game, everything is made out of LEGO. You can unlock episodes and characters. Plus, the game starts off in Dexter's Diner. No, you can't order a meal, but you can walk into a weird room, trying to find a way to get to Episode One and trample in on the Trade Federation's next blockade project. You can either play as Obi-Wan, Qui-Gonn, and some droid that is good at unlocking stuff, and no it is not C-3PO or R2-D2. You have to collect studs, LEGO Pieces, and complete missions to get to more episodes. Sometimes you can get confused of what LEGO Star Wars character your playing as.

This game is a good game!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Kiddie Crack

Gave this to the boys for Christmas. They haven't turned it off yet. With the conquering of each level (of which there are many) a rousing cheer goes up! Anyone with boys will attest to the difficulty in getting them to play together without fighting over something. This game does the trick. I also appreciate the true cartoon aspect of the "cartoon violence". No blood and gore here....when a combatant is defeated, he crumbles into a pile of Legos peices. (Virtual pieces that is....the ones that do't have to be cleaned up.)
If there is a negative, it is that it is only a two player game. Neighborhood kids must sit and wait a turn. Perhaps they're learning patience though.)

Here's what my 5-yr-old thinks of this game: "The lightsabers are cool becuase you just hit the B button to turn them on, and then hit it again to make them move. You can fight real guys from the movie, and the bad guys can use force on you. I like that 4 players can play at once. A player can switch in and out of the game while you're playing. And, you'll never get bored of it, because it's fun to unlock and destroy guys."

A really great game!

My 3rd grade boy and all his friends LOVE this game. I would highly recommend it. They love working together to move "ahead" to the next level. It is a very kid appropriate game.

Play Lego Star Wars before Lego Star Wars II

Lego Star Wars is a fun game, though a bit short. Its main weakness to me is that I played Lego Star Wars II first. LSW2 is far better than the first; the developers clearly learned and improved on all the strengths and also removed the weakest aspects.

If you've played LSW2 already, you might pass on this one. But if not, start here. And when you've finished it, definitely get the sequel.

THIS GAME IS AWESOME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I bought this game when it came out for gc and it was great! There are 3 doors that have episode 1,2,and 3 inside them (4 if you get all the "superkits"). the levels in the movies are fun and easy. I beat it in 3 days it was so easy! Get this game you will be happy if you do!

My son is a huge Star Wars fan and was begging for this game so we went and bought it for his 7th birthday. In terms of a game for his age range it was worth every cent. Some complain that it is not challenging enough, but it's the perfect level for the age group that LEGO targets. The worlds are fun and interesting. There's lots to explore and it appeals to a wide range of ages. My husband loves playing the game with him and right now they're really working on "buying" invincibility. It's really nice that in the free play mode you can scroll through the characters and pick the one that is suited for the task.
My friend told me that her son went to sleep over at Grandma's and his uncles decided to go get a game for XBox that was appropriate for a six year old. They rented this one and everyone, including the twenty-something uncles, had so much fun that they wanted to buy it. Overall this game is a huge hit and I hope that Lego Star Wars II will live up to this one.
