This game is off the chart. I spend hours playing it, and believe it or not, it was my first Harvest Moon Game. I'm Married to Ray and my child's name is Laura. Whe I got a baby I didn't know if it was a boy or girl. I have 3 horses, 3 sheep and 1 cow. The graphics of the game kind of look more like Cartoons than people. When the people talk to you what they say changes with the weather and how much they like you. When you ship stuff you can get *Music Notes* to free the Harvest Goddess from stone. After you get 50 notes you can go to Harvest Goddess Springs to get free health. When you leave you can do anything again. You have to clear your land to own a barn and animals. All of the animals look the same as adults except for the sheep, who can be shaved. When your horse has 2 Hearts it can be ridden and trained to run in the Spring or Fall Horse races.
The animation of the game is VERY good when it changes with the seasons. All of the people look diffrent and have many personalities. If you buy this game you will be Entertained for Hours, so it is not a waste of money!

My sister rented this game before I got home from a trip, but from the 3-4 days I played it... I LOVE IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! YOU SHOULD BUY IT!!!!!!!!!!!! You can get cows, sheep, horses, chickens, pigs, and dogs! You can make meals out of fish, mushrooms, and more! you can build barns and chicken coops! It's like Animal Crossing, except more detailed and lifelike (and a little bit better...)! I want to buy this game today!

I really like this game! Here are pros and cons:

Pros(there were so many I had to put it on a list):
1.You have 11 people to marry.
2.You can play as boy or girl.
3.Very chibi and cute graphics.
4.Its pretty easier marrying a person since in Harvest Moon: A Wonderful Life you had to look into girls diaries which were pretty hard to reach.
5.The town is twice as big than other Harvest Moon games.
6. More exploration.
7.Easier to get money.
8.More crops then usual.
9.Fun.

Pros:
1.The town is a little too big(my sister said that you might get lost easiely)
2.Lack of cutscenes.
3. Controlls are pretty tricky.
4. Getting the Blue Feather is hard.
5. Jamie is really mean. If you marry him/her, the game will be over.

Overall, this is a really good game. BUY IT TODAY!!! You won't be dissapointed. =D

I love it! I have both Harvest Moons, but this one tops over the other!!

I love this game. I play it every day. It doesn't leave you any room to be lazy. You have to stay on your feet. I really enjoy the game. Great for all ages in my book. Just have to know how to read. I would definately recommend this game! Love it!!!

I got this game a week ago. It is so cool! You can get married,(I did not get married yet, 'cause it's so hard!) You have children...here is some pro's and con's=

Pro's=
1.You can get married!
2.You will have children!
3.adorable graphics!
4.You can choose from a boy or a girl!

Con's=
1.It's soooo hard!
2.It's realy hard to marry someone!

THIS GAME IS AWSOME!!!!! BUY THIS GAME, NOW!!!!!!!

Possibly the best Harvest Moon in the series!

The first Harvest Moon I ever played was Harvest Moon 64 and it still is one of my favorites of all time! Since then, I've played all other Harvest Moon and finished it at least once and now I am currently playing this one. I am having so much fun with it that the time really flies while I am playing it! There are so many things to do, so little time! There is, however, no time limit so you don't have to rush things. Of course there are pluses and minuses but hey, what did you expect? No game is perfect, don't you think? Still, one of the things I really don't like the most is the mining! Unlike others in the series, the time flows while I am in the cave which makes mining very hard thing to do! Also, there is no such thing as a basket which makes it even more hard! I DO know this game is not about mining but... Well, that's it for now.

This game rocks!

This game is sooo cute~you can hold wild weasels, squirrels,cats,raccoons, ducks,birds,and ride a dolphin! You can date and get married and have a kid. You can also have a pet pig and a dog.

The reason i gave it 4 stars is because you can zoon in or out and you can't change views. But overall the game is great! I am 11 and i still love it! Graphis are great, you can do things you would NEVER imagine you could do and its a GIANT improvment off the old games but it's nothing like them.

I have loved this game! I have pretty much completed it, I mean, once you have had a kid there isn't really anything new that will happen, but there is a lot of things to do in the game and it keeps you busy. Such as all the animals you can buy, you have to take care of them. The thing is, when you get all the musical notes together and give them to the harvest goddess, she "rewards you" by making you sit through 5 minutes of credits. Other than that, it's a good game. I liked the fact that there were so many people to choose from to marry, and you could choose if you wanted to be a boy or a girl.

I agree with pretty much all the oher people who wrote they're reviews and their storlines. I rated this game 5 in fun because new things are always happening- you can fish, take care of animals, build friendships,[or even marry them if you earn enough hearts 0=]harvest things, ride a horse, explore town, shop, plant plants, and so much more.
Overall, I rated this game a 4 for perticular gamers. They may not have the time and are one of those people who play the game to finish it fast. This is not the type of game you can finish in a week. Also, some people like things with lots of action and fighting; which Harvest Moon doesn't really offer. Personally, I don't think Harvest Moon needs any fighting like that but...ah well.
As long as you have time and are o.k. with getting addicted to this game, I highly recommend it.
