I own this game at home and it is not good at all! At first wanted this game so bad. but now I have it and it is not fun or entertaining! all your pets do is pee on the floor and make your sim MAD! and don't get exited about planting things, cause it only makes them tiered. when your sim is not doing so well you do things to cheer them up and you don't play with the whyning puppy next to you and it will soon die from lack of attention! don't listen to other reviews!!!!!!!! and when you build stores and go to them it just makes your sims worse! and they stink!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
YOU DON'T WANT THIS GAME AS MUCH AS YOU THINK YOU DO!!!

This game is fun.. all the Sims games are fun.. But, the more games you get, the slower the game goes. When i first downloaded it and started playing it there were like 20 of the same person (he was cloned!! lol)... this happened when i tried to scroll and the man who was on the corner of the screen just mulitiplied.. but then they all disappeared except the one man. Soon, i deleted a lot of files so it runs faster. Overall, though, this game is okay. You don't really get to do a lot with the animals though. Just spank them when they pee on your ground......
For the best Sims Game stick with Hot Date!

For all those Windows 2000 users out there:
Yes, ...for Windows 2000~ but it doesn't [work]. Trust me, it didn't worked for me, and it didn't work for another Windows 2000 friend of mine. So, use the previous expansion packs, and have fun downloading thiings from cool websites but don't waste your time (or $$$$$ for that matter) on Unleashed. Don't worry, you aren't missing out on a revolutionary product. Neither am I.

Buy a dog, iguana, cat, birds and more. Buy more than one. And the same with the other sims games, go to a petr shop and redecorate it change it round, then send your sims down to buy a pet. And still a different variety of items and clothing. THE SIMS ARE THE BEST.
good game

The SIMS unleashed allows you to have pets. You can train your pets and have them win pet shows and you can have trophies if your pet is good enough. You can also garden carrots, tomatoes, green beans, and lettuce. You get more objects and more floors, wall paper etc.

I didn't like this game that much. The animals, especially the dogs, got really annoying when I was trying to make two people become friends. I enjoyed the new careers, characters, and items, but the animals made the game really annoying. Plus, my computer is 5 years old and it took forever to load.
Not fun or realistic

I was so excited to get this game as I love pets in real life...
However, it was totally UNREALISTIC - the pets are BORING PLUS!!!
Firstly, they don't try to sit on your lap or try to sleep on the beds. That would have been so cool because lots of people allow dogs on their beds and at the very least REAL DOGS AND CATS DO TRY TO SLEEP ON BEDS OR IN LAPS...
and
What are the pets doing going to the shops with you?????? They should stay home and wreck the place like real puppies.
Oh and WHY does EVERY member of the family have to go to the shops every time??? In real life that doesn't happen...
And what is the story with the cr*p you can buy at the shops "Mask of Rage" etc Waste your money on cr*p that goes on the grass and cannot be moved after you get home...
If the animals were more jumpy, excitable and real it would have been worth the money I paid for it - that's all I wanted... But didn't get it
>:(

950 MG!? Maxis says this game will take up 950 MG!? I only have ONE expansion pack on my computer and I only have 190 MG left!! ARGH! Have they not considered the fact that some people don't have computers with enough MG to weigh the same as a Sumo Wrestler!?

I bought "SIMs Double Deluxe" and "SIMs Unleashed" for my kids, and boy am I sorry. It crashes at least once every time they play. My kids come to me with long faces and want me to restart the computer. Their SIM creations are always lost.
I've been a windows programmer for over ten years. Even by windows standards, this is very poorly tested. Even my children admit the poor quality of the game is a pain.
It does this on three different computers, running Windows-98, Windows-2000, and windows XP. It happens at their friends houses too.
The upside to this crashing is that the game has NO EDUCATIONAL VALUE. It's a total time waster, so when it crashes it gets the kids to do something more constructive.
The expansion packs also use an obnoxious copy protection, so I can't make backup copies of my CDs. My kids often trash the originals, so this violation of my fair-use rights could cost me money. My solution is a vow to never buy EA products again, nor let my kids by any.
Parents, do not buy this junk for your children.
Think this one out...

Yes, "The Sims" and its various expansions up to now have been well worth the money, but this one I expect might not live up to the hype. I believe this because, for starters, not everyone is big on pets, or the messes they make (real OR simulated). Even with the relatively large selection of pets and pet-related interactions, chances are that some users might be turned off by having to partially neglect their characters' social lives to train the pets. The new items included with the expansion might be interesting, but if pets aren't your thing, then consider skipping this title.
The main reason I believe this title won't be as hot as the others, though, is that the release of "The Sims Online" isn't too far away, and those of us who loved the concept of the original game are probably already drooling over the approaching online version. So, to recap, your money might be better spent on another game if you don't like pets or if you like multiplayer play.
