Human vs. Animal, Animal vs. Animal, Human, vs. Human...

Fighting games very seldom offer a lot of variety in fighting style. As for this game though, an ability is added that completely seperates this game from others, the ability to transform your fighter into an animal. Every fighter in this game has an animal form that they can transform into. Whether it be a bat, tiger, lion, wolf, or other exotic creature, the ability to change into animal form adds an entirely new dimension to the fighting. Moves become more powerful, special attacks change, and from there you can also go into hyper beast form where you can execute hyper combo moves. The wide variety of characters, levels, moves, and game play modes, make this a fighting game to remember. There's also a few hidden characters that you can earn. The graphics and animations of this game are excellent and smooth respectively. For play control, the moves are never hard to execute. Simplicity is the name of the game. The music is also very well done, the background ambience is perfect for this type of game. All in all, an excellent fighting game which will hopefully produce a few Game Cube sequels.

Short, Even for a Fighting Game

The battles are so short in this game, and the story mode is so short, I had all the extra characters and such after just a few days. There are much better games out there, Virtua Fighter 4 and DOA3 are prime examples of good fighting games.

I think Bloody Roar: Primal Fury is one of the best fighting games I've ever played. I'm not a really big fan of the fighting games but this really impressed me. The graphics are killer and the control play is great. The sound could use a little more work but overall it's a must have game.

A great Bloody Roar title!

Bloody Roar: Primal Fury is a lot of fun. Its graphics are lovely, controls fairly easy to master (but also somewhat challenging), and the voice acting is great. It sports an all-star (amongst the dubbing world anyway) English voice cast, in fact, including Jennifer Hale, Lex Lang, and Quinton Flynn. This is how a Bloody Roar game should be.

The only problem with this game is that it does not delve into the storyline behind Bloody Roar; this is a common problem amongst Bloody Roar games and I found myself confused about character relationships because this is the first game in the series that I played. If you're looking for the story behind it all, attempt to find Bloody Roar 2 for the PS1 (possibly the first Bloody Roar as well, but that's the only one besides EXTREME I haven't played). Bloody Roar 3 has a little bit of story as well, but not much.

Primal Fury, like the rest of the games, does explain Zoanthropes (the type of fighter you'll be playing), so you'll at least have a handle on that. If you're looking for something to pick up and have fun with, but not too much story, Primal Fury is a great choice.

Great Improvement!

First Lets get fighting games striaght. Super Smash Bros. Melee is NOT a fight game in the sense of your basic mortal kombat style. Good, now we got that cleared. The Bloodly Roar series has stuck to sony's PS1 & PS2. When i played the demo for GC i knew they had made some geart improvements. First the graphics are super smooth. Next the game play is great you can play for hours before geting bored. The only bad thing i could find about this game is it's only 2 player. But the sometimes short battle let change players so fast it doesn't matter. Over all, if you want a relief form long atventure games this is the game for you. One last thing that i forgot, you can transform into animals, so you love this game.

Well done Cube !

Nice graphics. Moves very smoothly. A very well put together game for game cube. This game is very addictive. You could just sit and play this for hours. I saw the demo in the store, and, I knew I had to have it.You probably can't get any closer to the real arcade game, unless you actually go out and spend some quarters. This is definately a great way to spend a rainy or boring day. Worth the money, indeed.

Ehh...Fun? Not Fun? I'm gonna go with fun.

Could be better

The game is a great fast paced fighting game. Morphing into animals or beast form to fight with is even better. There are some things I like and somethis I dislike about this game.

Things I like

1. Awesome environments with destructable arena walls.
2. Nice looking characters.
3. A variety of different fighting styles.

Things I dislike

1. Not enough characters. How hard can it be to come up with a new character. I've played this game on the 2 other systems also. Both PS2 and XBOX and they all seem to have the same characters. If they can give the game a different title for diffent systems then why not more characters?
2. Music? very repetitive. Get a better selection of music.
3. Well I don't really have a 3rd dislike. I've pretty much covered my dislikes. ( but a penguin? come on. Might as well put a frog or toad on here too or how about a gnat? Ha )

This game rocks, I mean the characters a just awesome and the battlefields look great( I have a strategy of breaking the glass in the aquarium with uriko and xion)The music is good but i think they could do better with that iguana guys looks and voice(I never play as him!) Other than that i love one more thing, the specials for each caracter look awesome.
