The Game Boy Advance lineup just keeps getting better. If ever you need a reason to buy a GBA, this game is it. I'm not sure how Vicarious Visions did it, but somehow they managed to squeeze a game meant for a CD-ROM into the tiny GBA cartidge without sacrificing any of the fun whatsoever. The learning curve for this game is initially a little steep, but within an hour of purchase I was able to rack up a 300,000 point score on the first level. The game plays exactly like it's console bretheren, so anyone familiar with the original controls should feel right at home after about 5 minutes of playing. The levels aren't 3D, so sometimes it's hard to judge just where something is floating in space, but after a while you get used to the angles and the annoyance of the perspective (which was minor to begin with) goes away completely. The graphics best most things you'd see on a Sega Genesis, to give you an idea. It's not the PS2 graphics engine, but hey, for a Gameboy it's nothing short of a miracle! The music is also nicely done. Again, it's not the streamlined CD quality of the consoles, but the new background music fits the game perfectly. All the sound effects of the PS/DC version are present and accounted for, and have some amazing clarity. The controls are tight, the load times are nonexistant (it's a cartidge) and the only gripe I can possibly find is the total lack of multiplayer. This is dissapointing, since it was so fun on the consoles, but it doesn't detract from the game itself. I highly reccomend this game. It should be among the first you buy for your shiny new GBA, and it's most certaintly a must-have!

I was unsure to buy tony hawk but now I am gald that I did. To start off, the graphics are amazing. I also purchased Pitfall and Mario but THPS2 blows the top. The sound could've been better but still is was great. The gameplay is was I was amazed about. You can free skate to sharpen your skills, (it does take a little while to understand controls)or you can strart your own carrer as a professional skate border. Pick from numerous borders and skate with them to earn money to buy supplies or to unlock levels. You can also do single sessions. The graphics for the people are very well done and the background is also well done. However I am disapointed with one thing. That one thing is that you cannot create a player or your own park. However, the gamplay, sound, and graphics fulfill that disapointment therefore I can give THPS2 no less than 5 stars.

Previous Tony Hawk games for Game Boy have been limited to a 2-D world. Now with the power of the Game Boy Advance though, the Hawk has added an entirely new dimension to his Game Boy games. Much more like the Playstation and N64 games, this GBA port features a lot of similar levels, with similar structures, objectives, characters, moves, and control. This game also contains some levels not featured in the other versions. Though the graphics are quite good, though can't hold a candle to the more advanced versions. THPS 2 all in all is a very good GBA game. With excellent graphics, play control, game design, (the game also contains a ton of special codes, levels, and characters) and some what decent music, THPS 2 is a must buy for extreme sports fans or just GBA owners looking for a game to hold their interest.

Activision did it again! Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 2 is GOLD on every system is touches! At first, this game takes a little getting used to, but once you play a few runs, you'll be skating like a pro in no time. As for the graphics, WOW! It looks almost as good as the Playstation! AMAZING!! Activision and Vicarious Visions made a gem here. If you own a GBA go get this game NOW if you don't already have it!

This game is definitely awesome! The only downside is the lighting but you will have that problem with any game boy advance game. The graphics are incredible (3-D on a handheld game is brilliant). I couldn't believe the quality of the sound and the save feature definitely makes it better than many other game boy advance games. If you have a game boy advance, you definitely should buy this great game!
