Soccer is my favorite sport and to finally find a game that has all the aspects that I've been looking for in a soccer game is exciting. The gameplay is fastt and depending on your skill level you can tailor the game to suite your needs. You can play as simple or as complicated as you want. Its a great game for a real soccer enthusiast

EA give it up!

I was scratching my head last year why EA changed the sprint control from the triangle to the R1, and then I played Winning Eleven 6, and it hit me. Electronic Arts have been playing catch up since Konami came out with the Pro-Evolution/Winning Eleven series. What amazes me is that there are still people giving good reviews to the Fifa series? Just a word of advice, pick up a baseball bat and stop kidding yourselves. What's wrong with 2004 you ask? Everything! This is not futbol, futebol, soccer, calcio or anything remotely near it. I learned my lesson after buying Fifa 2003 without even playing it first. This year I rented 2004 and I returned it the same day. The Fifa series is a bad cancer for futbol. It alters the perception of the public of what the game is truly about just so it can be marketable in the US. Just like when FIFA tried to incorporate the timeout just so they can fit in those 3 minute commercial spots. Can you even imagine they experimented with it in Brazil? Well I'm through experimenting with the Fifa series form EA. I just hope somebody from EA reads this review and comments it on their next creative meeting. 'Where did we go wrong?' they would ask themselves. Simple, you never listened to your customers.

This game is awesome.Ea sports have taken football gaming to the next level with the new of the ball control which allows you to control your players who dont have possesion of the ball. There is a new dynamic ball control system which gives you a feel of what it's actually like having a football at your feet.Plus there is a new shot modifier button which allows you to execute different types of shots,headers and passes. Plus for the first time ever you have to jostle for space while executing corners and get to the ball before your opponent. The final touch is added through the new season mode which allows you to sign a contract with a major european team and go through five seasons as you attemp to buy plyers from the transfer market and win trophies.This game is a must have for all soccer fans.

FIFA SOCCER 2004 IS BY FAR THE MOST AMAZING AND REALISTIC SOCCER GAME EVER CREATED IN THE WORLD SO FAR. I OWN ALL PREVIOUS VERSIONS AND I CAN TRULY SAY THAT THE EA TEAM HAS ONCE AGAIN PROVEN TO THE SPORTS' VIDEO GAME WORLD THAT THEY ARE THE BEST IN THE BUSINESS. I PLAY SOCCER EVERY WEEK-END AND WHEN I AM NOT IN THE FIELD PLAYING, I QUICKLY IMMERSE MYSELF INTO THE GAME. IT IS AS IF I WAS PLAYING IT LIVE. A FRIEND OF MINE CAME TO VISIT ME ONE DAY. WHEN HE SAW BRAZIL AND ARGENTINA FACING EACH OTHER ON THE TV HE THOUGHT THAT IT WAS A LIVE GAME. HE WAS AMAZINGLY SUPRISED TO DISCOVER THAT I WAS THE ONE CONTROLLING THE GAME. I DON'T KNOW WHY SO MANY PEOPLE ARE SAYING THAT THE GAME IS BAD. I WOULD RECOMMEND IT TO ANY SOCCER FAN WHO WOULD LIKE TO EXPERIENCE THE MOST REALLISTIC MOTION CAPTURED AND GRAPHIC DETAILS AVAILABLE IN A SOCCER GAME. ONCE AGAIN OUSTANDING !!

Do yourself a favor, and rent this first!!

I absolutely loved FIFA 2003 and was eagerly anticipating this one, all I can say is, what were they thinking?? The single aspect of this that drives me F*@%ING crazy is player speed, it is considerably slower than '2003, and has literally ruined this game for me, the players look as though they are out for a jog in the park! the smartest decision I made was to rent it first. EA, get your act together!!

I think this game has been judged unfarely tho i do believe that every one is entitled to their own opinion. This games graphics are 100 times better than Fifa 03. You can control 2 different players and you can work on the training mode. Plus you get a 5 year contract for managing and playing a team of your choice. All in all, this game is the best soccer game made
(This and Total Club Manager 2004).

We are so very blessed...

This game must be a gift from the heavens above. It is by far the best FIFA yet from the best sports game label (EA Sports.) With so many teams and leagues to choose from, itll never loose the gameplay. Managing your team from every aspect of the game is my favorite part of the game, but whats not to like. This futbol game is 10 times better than Winning Eleven 6, unless you like having way less teams and unrealistic gameplay. This game is a MUST for every soccer fan. This game brings you the closest you will ever be to "Bending Like Beckham." Peace.

I haven't played this yet, but FIFA hasn't dissapointed me since. FIFA is one of the few games that you could play for days witout getting bore and the best part is that with every edition of FIFA, they have improved the game. I am most excited about this edition with all the administrative stuff that you can do and even more realistic movements and reaction from players

Don't waste your time with those other soccer games. They are all just wannabees of FIFA...yea, I said it!

Wow, I just bought this game and I have to say it's 10 times better then Fifa 03 and I would rank it right up there now with the Winning 11 series. First off the graphics are MUCH better and smoother. Close ups on the crowd stiull bother me but thats no big deal. The best feature is the new OffBall control where you can control players on the field in addition to the ball carrier. This makes this SO MUCH better and more realistic to play. I can really get into the game now. Yes the gameplay is a little slower then before, but now, it takes more skill and strategy rather then "run, run, run shoot". The AI is greatly improved too. Defence is tougher this time around. The inclusion of different division Euroean leagues is great. On line feature is what really tops it off. I cant say enough about this! To play this great game with my buddy in Australia online is a dream!

Sound is great. Crowds are roudier and react to the shifts in the game better. A VERY nice touch as well is the ability to toggle the language from English to Spanish! Hearing the announcing done in Spanish and hearing the infamous cry of "GOOOOOOOOOOOOUUUUUUUULLLLLLL!!!!!!!!!!" when scorring is such a great rush!! Overall a must have if your a real soccar fan. Only gripe is the lack of South American leagues. BUt I guess you cant fit it all on 1 disk (YET!!) Finnally a great football game by AE after some past clunkers.

Now lets get to the main point,fifa has got good detail.But i want a game with good gameplay and more realistic.And i dont want to spend 50 quid.Fifa aint the king of soccer any more, best advice i can give you is to save a tenner and get pro evolution soccer 3 which is somewhat better.
