Good-If You Missed the Original

I found this game entertaining-briefly. I guess that is because I have experienced the original. If you are new to Mario 2, it gets five stars. But for vetrens, little has changed in this remake and I advise you to search elsewhere.

The only BAD Mario game!

Mario is known all over the world by his famous super jump which smashes enemies into the ground. Unfortunelty, this game has no super jumps. You have to throw vegetables to kill your enemies. This is the worst idea for a Mario game. The good thing is that you get to choose from four diffrent characters, Mario, Luigi, Peach, and Toad, and it includes the amazing Link It Up, which allows four players to play from the same gamepack (Note: you will need the link cable).
I just don't like it because they killed the Mario classics. Buy it if you enjoy wasting your money! (in other words, don't buy it)

This is a great port of Super Mario 2. The graphics are superb and the sound is wonderful. All of the levels remain exactly the same from Super Mario 2 with one added bonus. After you beat the game you get to go on all of the levels again and find 2 Yoshi eggs for each level, sounds easy? It isn't this game will thrill you for hours. The only gripe I have is that it is a PORT and therfore has no new levels, I wish they would make a brand new Mario game for GBA instead of ports.

This game is entirely different from the original mario bros. but in a good way. This game does not follow the same guide lines as the other mario games. Instead of saving the princess you work with her.Along with other familiar characters such as Luigi and Toad. The bosses are really cool and instead of fighting King Koopa you fight Wart the most devious frog in all the land. The cast of characters are different too. Like instead of koopas [the most common bad guy] there are shy guys. This game also introduces famous characters like bob-bombs and Birdo in 3 different colors. This is a huge leap from other mario games but if I was you I'd buy it this instant.

This game is a nice game...I say it is really fun but not as much as others I have...It is hard when the mouse dude throws grenades at you or when the Cobra tries to bite your head off or when the guy with the keys tries to kill you, but what I really like about it is that you can get more hearts on every level.

Playability: really easy to learn and really fun. but I only like playing it a few times a day. It gets a little boring sometimes when you keep dying, but it is a good game overall.

I'd want to play this mario game more than any other. It's very fun! I think it's funny to pull off birdo's bow. The only disadvantage is that it's very hard at times. The last boss doesn't make sense. His name is toad, and he has to be fed vegetables to be beaten. The shy guys are fun when they're huge, and my favorite boss is the giant fireball, fry guy. If you need a tip, the best character is peach, because of her great special jump and fast movement. I THINK YOU SHOULD DEFINITELY GET THIS GAME!!!!!

The best game I've got

I think SMA is a good game. I got it on Tuesday and I have already completed six levels but I still think it is good. The thing I like about it is that you get to choose who you want to be and some of the characters now say things. I like being toad because he is the funniest out of the four and has the best power and speed. I think the first two bosses are easy to defeat and I like doing the Yoshi egg challenge. If you have got a GBA and you are looking for a good game then buy this!

In one word, great!

I got this game with my GBA the week it came out, excited about it, since i heard so many great things about it. I started playing, and after I read the manual once, I got the hang of it immediatly.

The graphics are great, the levels were worthwhile, but the bosses could have been harder, more compliciated or more extensive.

Now about 6 months have passed, and looking back on it, I realize that was probably my longest and "Funnest" game I bought. I mean, it only took me about 2 weeks for Warioland 4 and 3 for Mario Kart to name a few.

I would highly recommend this to you if this is your first or second game. Or if you have a lot of short, non adventure type games, because this one will grab you and won't let you go. But if you have already played Castlevania or Rayman or something like that, this might be a bore. Overall, it's a great game for anyone willing to spend time on it.

Not Enthused...

I was disappointed to see that Nintendo chose Super Mario 2, the lamest of all the Mario games, for this fabulous new Game Boy. Don't get me wrong, the graphics are beautiful and the game play is true to the original but I do get tired of the little exclamations and comments the characters make in the game whenever they get hurt or die. As for the other Mario game included on this game pak, there's not much point to it unless you have another player to play it with. Most people will probably like this game just fine, especially the younger players, but I just detest Super Mario 2 and I resent having it thrust upon me again (it came with the Game Boy Advance).
