This is one of the best Game Boy Advance launch games. If you like adventure or Mario games you should definetly get this game. It an updated game of the old Super Nintendo version. Its pretty much the same but there has been some improvments. The enemies are larger like Shyguy and instead of stepping on enemies to kill them you have to jump on them and then press the B button to toss them. You can also toss them at other enemies to kill them too. This game will keep you busy if you're going on a long trip or something. Just an updated version but really good...

Great game

I don't care if I played it! I played it when I was 6! This game is cool!!! I can't wait for Super Mario Advance 2, featuring Super Mario World! And 3 featuring a brand new game!

Played it until the batteries conked out!

When I first started with the Mario games, I only had Super Mario Bros. Deluxe. This new game has completely new features and goals. It was a bit of a shock for me to go from 2 characters to the 4 choices in the GBA version. So far I really like it. When I first got it, I played it until the batteries went dead.

Be careful in the pipes--there is an occasional snake in it. It's fun to be able to choose which game you want to play. My favorite part was fighting a cactus. It looked easy enough, but it wasn't. When I pulled off its head, a new face popped up on a lower piece of cactus. Overall, I think I really got my money's worth out of this cartridge.

Super Mario Bros 2 is revitalized for the better.A +

Now I for one didnt care about the original Super Mario Bros 2 for NES because it didnt have any way you could save your progress like you could in Kid Icarus,Metroid and The Legend Of Zelda and the graphics were cardboard. The only thing I liked about that game was the music.I admit I used to have a Game Genie and that accesory made this game a whole lot better but that doesnt count anymore cause theres no way to buy a Game Genie for the original NES anymore.
This Advance version is incredible. They made things easier by giving you health hearts for throwing bigger enemies and the graphics are much much better as well. Really, really similar to Super Mario World which is to this day 2 dimensional eye candy. The voices for the bosses are very excellent but the voices for the playable characters are pretty annoying but you tend to tone them out when you get absorbed in the graphics, music and gameplay.I have to admit this game is going to be extra special cool once I get my Game Boy Player hooked up to the Game Cube and its on the television screen.

It's a me- Mario! It's a me- Luigi! It's a me- Toad!

But forget Peach! The only good move she has is float in the air for 1 1/2 seconds!
Toad: Bad jump, huge power.
Mario: Average jump and power.
Luigi: The most played player. Awesome speed, power, and jump.

Mario, Inc. must save the land of dreams, Subcon, who is ruled by the evil king, Wart! Using veggies, you must free Subcon!

This game is one of a kind. Just the gameplay, man, the controls also rock. It may be hard to survive, but you can beat this easily.

Using Matrix moves, you will BEET this game easily!

Excellent!

This game is a must buy. This was the first GBA game I bought. I was relunctant to buy it at first because I have Mario 2 for NES. The improvements make it worth it. After you beat the game the first time you get to do the Yoshi challenge. That was a great improvement over the origional NES version. Mutliplayer mode with the Classic Mario bros. is great entertainment. This is a great game for GBA.

I played this game a couple of weeks ago and it had the best graphics Ive ever seen on a handheld videogame.Well when this comes out in stores in june i'm going to get it. Out of my friends I'm the only one to even get my grummy paws on one of these master pieces. So if you haven't got your hands on one of these you can just drive to your nearest Toysrus or just order one!!

I often have been enjoying a lot of classic video games from the 80's that have really been resurfacing over the past few years. It really is wonderful to see older games feel fresh and newly exciting again. That truly has been the case for one lucky plumber, Mario. Nintendo really has done a remarkable job of reintroducing Mario games to the Game Boy Advance audience. It has done very much wonders for a lot of people, who are now enjoying the feeling of the most groundbreaking entertainment that has ever brought games to the home. Nintendo did it originally with Super Mario Brothers, and their sequel was opposite any of the classic Mario stories that had ever been told.

Super Mario Advance: Super Mario Brothers 2, is a restored version to the classic video game from the late 80's. The game features your option of one of four characters to control, Mario or Luigi, Toad or Princess Toadstool. The game is located through seven dream world stages and 20 different levels. The gameplay focuses in on a nightmare Mario has as he and his pals stop Wart and his henchmen including Birdo, Mouser, Fryguy and many shyguys from ruining the dream world Mario is stuck in. The game doesn't feature the traditional Super Mario gameplay, where instead you dig deep to pick up items to hurl at your opponents.

Yet, with all the goodsides, there really are a few downsides to this game. The graphics do seem a little bit out of tune, unlike their original NES gameplay, or even the remastered gameplay from the 1993 Super Mario All-Stars compilation for the Super Nintendo. Another problem is the controls. They sometimes can make it very difficult for you to hurl bombs and vegetables when need ed at your foes. Sadly, that does bring unfortunate problems in gameplay at times.

All in all, Super Mario Advance: Super Mario 2 is a great exciting twist to the original Super Mario Brothers saga. For anybody who hasn't tried this Mario game, it really just is worth it for the Game Boy Advance. It really is a surprise that just is a delight.

This is the first game I have bought for the GBA; it is just as addictive as the original. The only thing that I have against it, is that the sounds are all the same, all the time, its just repetitive, other then that I can say it's a ton of fun!
