The game is good - I love all the Mario games. The game is fun - I haven't beaten it yet, but then again, I'm a college student, so when do I have time? :) Anyway, I recommend this game!
Not worth the time if you've already played it on NES

Super Mario Advance is really nothing more than a way for Nintendo to make a quick buck by selling a 13 year old game for it's new system. For those who don't know, Super Mario 2 is really the US version of Doki Doki Panic which is why the game is completely different from other Mario games. In this case different is bad as the game is not that enjoyable. It's hard to explain why other than it just doesn't have the style or feel of other Mario games. Not to say that it is a bad game, it isn't, but it's just not up to the quality of other Mario games. Although the classic Mario Brothers mode is fun especially if you play with other people, it's not enough to make the game worth purchasing especially at 30. If you have played or own Super Mario 2 on NES don't bother with it unless for some reason you really liked the game and for everyone else, try before you buy as it will be fusturating for many people, especially younger gamers. Now Nintendo, where's the port Super Mario Brothers 3? or Super Mario Land 4?

I got this game on import from Japan aout a week ago to play on my GBA and I gotta say, it .... It's a direct [copy] of Mario Bros and Super Mario and its pointless getting it unless you never payed the original. ...One for the novices this One

Basically Super Mario Advance is a port of Super Mario Brothers 2 for the Nintnedo Entertainment System and includes the orignial Mario Bros. game as well. The game is almost unchanged from the 1988 release of Super Mario Brothers 2. The problem is, this Mario game was never excellent to begin with and was actually never a Mario game in Japan. Super Mario Brothers 2 was released in Japan as a toally different game and this game just had the characters changed around to Mario characters. Although it is sort of fun, it just doesn't have long playability. If you don't own Super Mario Brothers 2, get this with your Gameboy Advance, otherwise, I would try it before buying it.

This game rocks I just got it with f-zero but it's so much fun you pick up stuff and throw it at your enemys wich gives this mario a new but good feel out of all the marios this has to be the best THIs GAme IS A MUST!!!!!!!!!!! if you got a gba GET THIS NOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!

This game is great! The first game is the SMB 2. A very fun game. But why the heck are vegtables items? Why can't it be jumping or fireballs? Luigi is free in this game. This is where Luigi really comes in. Mario is supposed to be the best character,but he is'nt. It's actulay Peach. Floating can be very helpful at times. The other game on here is the original game of Mario Bros. It's a very fun game,but gets boring and repetive. I'd recommend this game,becuase it's 1 of the best portable games out there.

Mario Advance lives up to the name. Its Mario with great visuals and the same addictive gameplay. They have added some extras here and their. This is one game that you will be playing forever.

I love this game. I personaly think this is one of the best games of all nintendo platforms. I can't get tired of this game no matter what. You should buy this one aling with SUPER MARIO WORLD, the sequel to this game from the SNES platform. I suggest you buy this one immediatly. I really do. Go buy this one. Donkey Kong Country 2 is another great choice of a great SNES video game. BUY IT NOW !
I always loved the gameplay in smb2 and now it's back.

One of my favorite games was SMB2 and now it's back with better graphics and new feaatures. The mario bros. game is great fun too! I recommend this to people who liked the original.
