Time and time again

Yet another Sonic fighting game has reared its head. Sonic Battle is sort of a new version of fighting from Sonic the Fighters (arcade). Not many people played that, so SEGA probably wanted another fighting game. Sonic Battle overall seems pretty good, since youve got a sort of Sonic 3-D Blast view. Remember that? Ya, but its all about the sprites. Ever since E3, i had no idea what the heck was so great about it.

Graphics: Cmon, you should know. The sprites are better than in Sonic Advance 2 and Shadow is very nicely done. Bringing in new characters such as Chaos and E-102 Gamma, they look impressive
9/10

Music/Sound:
I havent heard the sound that much. From the music it sounds pretty good, very catchy. Sounds...why dont you just rent the thing and check it out.
10/10

Gameplay:
Ive played this in Bestbuy once, and boy is it a load of fun.
Didnt get to play much, so first of all, the kicking the snot outta everyone is fun. Playing as Sonic is practically easy. So its just like any other game. Addictive at first. Then u play it every other once in a while.
8/10

Overall:
Overall this will have probably an excellent approval by Sonic-fans by mostly everywhere. And this Sonic game for the GBA/GBA SP actually has a story mode! Arent you lucky!!?!?! So buy?
Maybe, just if your interested in a fighting game with a story.
9.8/10

Memories of Power Stone...

Sonic Battle is a new fighting game by Sonic Team. I have been interested in it ever since it was shown at E3 2003. When it came out in Japan, I made sure to get my hands on it.

Graphics: The graphics are actually quite good. The character sprites are detailed and well animated plus there are even some cool polygonal environament effects. 4/5

Sound: The sound effects (especially the voice overs in the Japanese version) are very good. The only problems I have are that the music is isn't all that great and the English voiceovers are annoying. Normally, the music in a Sonic game is good. In here, it just this awful, old-school MIDI sound (well, okay, maybe I just don't like the music at all). Some of the tunes are pretty catchy though, such as the practice menu music or the Library music. 3/5

Gameplay: Oh my God, this game is lots of fun. It brings back alot of memories of Power Stone on the Dreamcast, although the combo system in Sonic Battle is deeper. The multiplayer battles and minigames are fun but mastering all the skills for the robot Emerl is even more fun and adds tons o replayability to the game. You see, you can let him learn the skills of all the other characters in Sonic Battle. The skill system in SB is somewhere between the AI training in Virtua Fighter 4 and Soul Calibur's weapon master mode. Playing challenge mode is also pretty fun. 5/5

Overall: Should you buy this game? If you like fighting games and/or Sonic games you will DEFINITELY want to play this game. It's not just some simple button masher but has alot of strategy.

Final Score: Thus is a good game. But after awhile, after you've mastered all the skills and played the heck out of the multiplayer, it becomes one of those games that you should only play every once in a while. 4/5

That Dr. Eggman is at it again with more plots to overthrow the world. Meanwhile, Sonic is wasting away a boring afternoon at the beach and finds a top-secret super robot that can learn its enemy's moves. Is it the perfect weapon to foil Dr. Eggman or a ticking timebomb that will destroy the world? Of course, if you don't want all that plot getting in the way of your good time, you and three friends can choose from eight well-known franchise characters (or select your customized robot from Story mode) and duke it out over link cables in true Smash Bros. style. The characters' unique fighting techniques enhance the enjoyable fast-paced action in Sonic Battle's pseudo-3D arenas. While it's definitely one of the best implementations of the z-axis yet to appear on the GBA, the camera doesn't always rotate when it should. A big part of strategy unintentionally becomes staying out of blind spots.
The game's strongest point is its graphics, which look great on the GBA and scale up beautifully when played through the Game Boy Player for the GameCube. Music and sound effects are whimsical and provide appropriate accompaniment to the action. The controls are intuitive and well executed, except for the blocking command. It's annoyingly difficult to time blocks correctly, but as Mel (the cook on Alice) says, "The best defense is a good offense." The biggest problem with Sonic Battle is the poor game design in Story mode. Earning Skill Points, and thereby new abilities for Emerl the Robot, is a grueling ordeal. Most battles reward Emerl with a single Skill Point. All the cool abilities cost upwards of 20 Skill Points, leading to a detrimental imbalance in the effort/reward system. A good game will make players work for their upgrades, but Sonic Battle asks too much. Still, the game can be enjoyed in multiplayer mode with the eight preexisting characters until you put in the long hours to build up Emerl.

Super Smash Bro's... Sonic style!!!

Sonic Battle is like "SSBM" but you can move up, down,
left, right, and all directions. And here are the
characters of choices.
Sonic the hedgehog,
Shadow the hedgehog,
Rouge the bat,
Miles "Tails" Prower,
Amy Rose,
Cream the rabbit & Cheese the Chao
Emerl the robot (It's real name is Gizoid. He dies at the end.)
And here are the lockable characters.
Chaos god of destruction/Chao gardian (Chaos 0 is my favorite!!)
E-102 "y" Gamma.
And here are the bad guys.
Phi #1 (Phi are clones of Emerl/Gizoid.)
Phi #2
Phi #3
Phi #4
Phi #5
Phi #6
Phi #7
Phi #8
Phi #9
Phi #10
Phi #11
Phi #12
AND MORE!!!
And the bad Eggman/Dr. Robotnick (Or Dr, Robuttnick.)
The story is that Eggman woke up Gizoid, and dumped him.
Sonic found him and named him Emerl....
After all the "Episodes" When you go to Emerl's story,
you fight Eggman twice, unlock Chaos, and he has been
revived by Shadow and Sonic with the Chaos Emeralds.
After Eggman's battle, Eggman destroys a bunch of star's
turning Emerl back into a "Angry" war machine.
One more tussle as Sonic, then Emerl... Well... He how i say it?
His circuits blow and he.... Dies. And the end Sonic got his
friends happy again. Except Cream. And besides the VERY sad ending this is a VERY good game. "sob... Pure Emerl".

This game rocks! Now let my tell you why.

This game is very similar to one of my alltime favorite games, Super Smash Bros. Melee. Only its characters from the Sonic the Hedgehog games! Also, when you lose a life, you dont fall off the screen like in SSBM. You just fall on the ground and dissapear. Buy this game! Its awesome!

awesome!

This game was really COOL 1 of best gameboy games I ever played.
you can do story mode, challange mode, battle mode, or minigamees. in story mode u will start w/ sonic (no duh). after that u will gain more story modes (if u play a story mode over again it will not delete the other story modes u have cleared). In challange mode is just well a challange for fun. in battle mode you can just fight alone for the heck of it or challang your buds. minigames u can only do with other people. I love story mode because you raise this robot that learns your attaacks when you fight it. when he earns 1 of your attacks, it ll pop up on a card thing. i'm trying 2 earn all 400 something of every1's attacks! This is just a really cool game for people who lov fighting games and are tottal sonic freaks (lik myself). Oh yeah! u learn more about prof. gerald. Hope this helped!

This is the best sonic game ever

To all Sonic fans or RPG fans or even wrestling fans buy this game! You won't regret it.
