This version of Bustin Out is completely different from other versions of bustin out. I love that you can control your person while she drives her scooter around town. It is a bit more free play. You still have the goals to meet and objects to obtain. You visit a store in order to purchase items for your home. There is also a pet store to buy pets from and a gift store to buy gifts to give to friends.
The design of your sim is very limited. They have tops and bottoms. You can change the colors but not the style. Same thing going on with the shoes. You pick a face and then the hair style and color.
In the end it is a fun game to play. It is nice to have the portability of the gameboy. I love laying in bed with my gameboy and this game. It is easier to handle than a lap top and that puts it on the top of my list.
Most fun I have had playing the Sims yet!

Having played the PC Sims and enjoying it, I found The Sims Bustin' Out for the GBA to a slightly more addictive and amusing game. The main ingredient here is the possibility to explore terrain with your created Sim, on foot or on a later aquired Moped. There is just enough customization to make gameplay compelling, (who to befriend, what color clothes and moped, what objects to buy. The game might be a little to linear for some in that during portions of the game you are moved ahead without a choice prompt from the game (example your first apartment) However the game keeps itself fresh by enabling further exploration of the town which is always up to you and with alot of humorous moments meeting NPCs. The ability to save at any moment is also a + for time constricted gamers. Terrific graphics and Sound FX (the crickets get a little annoying) The ability to upload a Sim to your GBA from the GC to enhance $ and character is a definite + as well. This one will probably stay glued in your GBA for awhile once you start. 5 stars even non Sims fans will probably have a good time in SIMVILLE on the GBA

I didn't think I would like this game. Starting out there aren't many option when creating your Sim, there's no house building at all, and you have to move this little person which seemed...cheap(?). But, hello! It had me hooked quick with soooo many goals, and witty dialogue choices, funny characters. There are still the classic Sim needs that you have to fulfill. You need to do little mini games in order to get job promotions, which are fun. Before playing my first impression was of a simple Pokemon style game with no depth. Not so! This game is as addictive as all The Sims games. I just got it today and I love it (have already played for about 3 hours). If you're wondering I have (and have been addicted to) The Sims for PS2, and The Sims Deluxe with the Vacation expansion pack. This is a great game for everyone...

Once on your home PC, now out with you in the car. I can promise you, this game is PERFECT for long car trips. First I will display my advantages for this:
~You get to move your Sim with the D-pad! No more ordering your Sims where to go!
~No expansion packs needed! You can buy pets in this too!
~Hook up with other GBA's and trade items!
~Close up chats with other people! You can see their face and pick things to say to them.
~Hook up with your Game Cube and gain access to Paridise Island!
Disadvantages:
~(On one saved file)Once you beat all the levels, you can't play it freely!
There aren't many I could think of!
One thing I also like about this game is that after you defeat one saved file, you can make new ones and it never gets boring!
I hope my review was helpful and that you will consider buying this game.

Believe it or not, this is my first Sims that I have ever played. Most people, unlike me have played the original Sims for PC first then start buying expansions and other console versions. At first, I thought this game was some living life game (and it is) and I wondered why would I have to live a life again when you are already going through what you have to go through! I saw that this game was overhyped and I was tired of all the Deluxe editions and Expansions for this game. I hated this game without even playing it and was sick of just seeing the word Sims in Amazon.com.
But one day, my sister came back home from school. She was excited. While I was playing my Counter Strike as usual, my sister came up to me with her Gameboy Advanced and said "Brian, you gotta play this game, it's the BEST GAME EVER!" And I was shocked. After that, I never touched her Gameboy Advanced but eventually, she got me into playing.
When I played it, I was even more shocked. It was one of the best game ever for GBA. It was way better than I expected and I was totally hooked on it. That's how I became a Sims fan after this game.
Unlike the first Sims, you can go around places in different areas and not just stuck in your home. There are many mini games such as lawn mowing, fishing, beer serving, chicken collecting, and pizza making just to name a few. You also have specific missions to accomplish so it's not very difficult. The mood is easy to keep it up unlike the Sims for PC. There are many other things that I probably forgot to mention but you probably read it from other reviewers.
Gameplay-10 (Best gameplay ever for GBA.)
Graphics-10 (You can't get any better than this.)
Sound-9 (Great music and great sound quality but some annoying sounds like "sool sool" etc.)
Replay Value-9 (You keep on coming back!)
Overall-9.5 which is an A, a great score and a MUST OWN!
Just to let you know that this is the first game ever to get me off from my PC games (FPS, RTS, RPG) for one whole week! This game is great. A game that turns FPS, RTS, RPG fan into a Sims fan gotta be a good game. Get this game right now!
Well worth the Simoleans!

This game is incredible. Just like the original sims, it is a bit deceptive. At first glance it appears to be just a novelty... next thing you know it's 4am and you've broken out in a cold sweat, your thumbs hurt, and you promise yourself you'll go to sleep after you unlock the next goal. It is highly addictive fun. If you are a fan of the original Sims, you will not be disappointed.
I have a hard time getting into fantasy role playing games because I could never keep the goals straight. I never quite knew why I was doing the things I was supposed to be doing... Sims is just like real life. (okay it's closer to real life). The goals and missions are not foreign, they make sense. There isn't any magical quest or a princess to save, the sims could take place right in your neighborhood.

When I first got the sims bustin out,i thought you could build houses like the computer game. But that isnt the truth. You have goals and once you reach all of them in your section you get promoted to a better house. At first i thought i wouldnt like that, but i really think the sims on gameboy is better than the computer version. I think the jobs are really fun, and my favorite part of the game is the characters.Once i got this game it was very difficult to put down(kind of like a good book). Once you get new goals its hard to put the game away until you reach them.
Another good thing about the sims on gameboy is that it doesnt take forever to load like it does on the computer. This is one of the best games i have ever played.
Very Addictive

I honestly didn't know how this game would be when I got it. I love the PC games and have played them for years. (I recently got Sims 2 and in my opinion nothing can beat that game, it is great!)
I can't play the PC games all the time though because I am a stay-at-home mom and am busy 24-7. My one year old also fusses when I get on the computer which makes it hard to play when I have free time.
I thought I would be horrible at The Sims for gameboy because it is my husband's and I can't even play Mario Brothers. I suck at those types of games! When I got Bustin Out it was so different than any other game you find. I can sit on the couch when I have a free moment and take my time playing it. There is no rush and it is a good way to pass my free time. My son doesn't bother me with it because he can't see the screen. For me it is really worth it!
I think anyone would enjoy this game! You can't beat it for a game you carry around in your purse or pocket.
What was it like?

Well, I've been a great fan of The Sims right when I saw it and since then, I've collected many fun Expansion Packs and other stuff. When I started on this game, I didn't know what to do and i was confused, but after about 3 minutes, I was hooked on! The day I got it, I played for about 3-4 hours and kept going for the next day. I lost about half a pound from not eating and instead playing the game! It's fun because when you finish the game, you can still get around and do other stuff and make friends. You can unlock many things like the Vacation Island. Another game that I liked was Harvest Moon for GBA, check it out!
a really cool game

this game is really good because it keeps on going. you never want to stop playing the game.
the game is very different to other sim games. if you have played a teen sim game, then this one is very "E." it is very un violant and different to the sims burstin out for other sistems
it is good for kids 6-10. other kids would ether not understand the words, or think it is to "babyish" for them.
over all it is a good first sim game, but as you get older, switch to a pc game.
