My 9-year old purchased this game for herself after recieving her birthday money. The DS in our household is a double-edged sword. Living rural and having other siblings, it is an escape for both my daughter and my hubby. However, it is easy for both to get caught-up in playing.

Both have enjoyed this game. The graphics are the best of Sims yet. However, my husband says that the skill building is slow and doesn't involve any play. Regardless, this has been a very addictive game for both. A good "stuck inside during bad weather" game.

Sims isn't as fun as expected.

Ok... Everybody loves Sims, but their reputation must have gone down after this disgrace. Sims for gameboy just stinks because of the gameboy's limitation.

First of all, the graphics don't live up to the computers. Of course we all know that, but it still contributes to disliking the game. On the computer versions of sims, we can assign our sim to do stuff, and then watch them do it which, strangely, adds to the fun of the game. While on gameboy, you can't zoom in or out, and you can't spin your view to look at what the sim is doing. They just do the same repeated movments, which just makes the tasks, like, "Get it over with..." like kid's chores, unlike the computer sims which you can watch them do it.

Second, there is no free mode, but on the more complex games of bustin out, you have a free mode. I'm sure that they couldn't do that due to the gameboy's limited capacity to hold infomation, but it still upsets Sim players. There is a certain amount of time you have to beat the game, or you get a game over. This is almost forcing you to do the boring goals and get it over with, with no reward at the end of the game. There is limited amount of time to do the almost fun stuff in the game. Besides, somtimes you have to go and ruin a relationship when you have gotten to really know a person in the game because of a goal, and then you have to spend a majority of the time rasing your friendship back up, which is irritating, because when you try to talk to them, they tell you to go away, there is BARELY any nice stuff to say to them... It's just plain annoying.

The sudden change of age group for the sims is also very annoying. Most of the sim games have been targeted at teens, while this game is targeted at 6-10 year olds. The makers of this game gave barely any warning of this before it came out, and they gave the sim addicts a boring game (Because the teens have seen a lot more fun games).

The simplicity of this game just makes it not fun. This is also one of the reasons that this game feels targeted to 6-10 year olds. You don't get to build your houses. The game just gives houses to you. Not much freedom is given. It just plain out stink.

Overall, this game stinks for the main sim players, but if you are a kid just dying to play sims, go for it. You won't get the full experience, but it is a start.

Gotta buy it!!!!!!

OMG!!!!!!(oh my gosh) This game is one of the best game boy advance games you can buy. You create you're person, and try to complete all of the missions. I like this a lot better than millsberry or any other thing like that, because you can ride around town on your scooter, take the vents, or just walk. You can also buy things, AND ACTUALLY USE IT!!!! If you don't have this game, you need it. Cus' if you don't.......you don't know what you are missing! I can't wait to buy this "The URBZ: Sims in the City, because it is the next part of sims. Remember.....if you don't have this game.....YOU DON'T KNOW WHAT YOU ARE MISSING!!!!

This game is so much fun!!!! It is a must buy

For any sims fan, or a fan of the GBA, or a person who likes puzzles...YOU MUST GET THIS!!! This game is up to its arm pits with puzzles, games, fun challenges, goal, and any other thing you would want with a game. Plus the story line is superb! You've just got to see this game. The only down fall is that it takes a long time to do some of the goals, and it can get very monontonous. So if your a kid that has a shorter attention span than a dog... This is not the game for you. If you are a kid(or any body) that likes great game play, challenges, Fun mini games, lots of simeleons, and a twist that would suprise any great stroy teller, BUY THIS GAME!!!

Gerat fun, but not in the way I expected

The Bustin' Out games are nothing like the original The Sims for PC. Rather, it is designed for those looking for something fun to do without that much thinking and calculating. You control a sim in a small town as he/she advances through a series of tasks which ultimately end up getting him/her bigger houses. It's fun for the while, but it is not a portable version of The Sims for PC, if that's what you're expecting

a really cool game

this game is really good because it keeps on going. you never want to stop playing the game.

the game is very different to other sim games. if you have played a teen sim game, then this one is very "E." it is very un violant and different to the sims burstin out for other sistems

it is good for kids 6-10. other kids would ether not understand the words, or think it is to "babyish" for them.

over all it is a good first sim game, but as you get older, switch to a pc game.

Awesomely fun game!

I bought this game a couple of years ago when it was new. I enjoyed it so much i played through it at least 3 times. The graphics fit the game well. The dialouge is funny, although a little repetative and the missions are fun to do. I loved mowing the lawn. This game was worth what i paid when it was $35 and is really worth the $20 price tag. I traded this game in when i bought my Gamecube and found it to be the worst game related decision i have ever made. I loved this game and really miss it. I bought Urbz for DS thinking it would be better but it wasn't as good as Bustin Out. I promise you won't be dissapointed in this game.

The Sims Bustin' Out for GBA is a great game! Even though the graphics are cartoon-ish (you can expect that for GBA games) you get to pick what your sim looks like and it's name! You get to run around town and later get to use a scooter (you get to paint it a color you want). You also get to do little missions but you don't have to do them and you get to walk around in free will. And I give this game an A+!!!

Very cool!

I've never tried other Sims games, but this one seemed pretty fun. My main complain, however, is that there is ONE way to play the game. You get to customize your character, your house and your pet, and that's it. This game has no re-play value, but it is kinda fun. Buy this for that long weekend roadtrip.
