this game is actually a good game. I liked the oringinal version with harry. Onlythis is his son your playing. harry gets captured by a evil dude and you have to save him. the game has good enemies and gameplay but the is no beginners. it is hard at points. also the graphics are dark and u need good lighting. Oh yeah, the character sounds like a migit. But otherwise its a great game. I'd recommend it to any hardcore player.

It is okay

It is kind of hard, but it has good graphics. The screen is a little dark but it is worthit to buy this game. If you are buying this game for your self, you should buy it, but if you are buying it for a gift you should rather get something else.

Okay Game!

I have this game for the PC and it sweet!! I had it since I was in 2nd grade (5 years now) and it is so awesome. There are great levels and it is really addictive. Not only that it is really fun. It is one of the best made platform games there is. So if you are looking for an excellent platform/adventure game, this is definitely the one for you!

This Game ...Stinks!!!!!!!!

This game is terrible Don't buy it. It is dark so you can't find the enemies. There is no saving feature. Don't buy it at all costs.

No save feature

This game is an OK game. The gameplay is fun and bosses are hard. But the graphics are way muddy and you need almost perfect light to see. There is no music or anything to make the gameplay a little more intersting. And the most frustrating thing of all is there is no save feature. If you die and have no more continues, even if your about to beat the game, it just starts right over. Buy it if you like, but I wouldn't recomend it.

Too detailed for its own good, tedious, frustrating

This is a quest through the jungles of South America, you are an explorer equipped with a short whip, a sling (slingshot), and a boomerang, against a jungle of animated snakes, spiders, deadly plants, quick sand, annoying monkeys and so on. The controls first of all are annoying having B as the jump button and A as the attack, L as the boomerang and R as the sling. Then next, the background graphics are so needlessly detailed, that you can hardly tell what is part of the level and what is part of the background! The animations are cartoonish and annoying, because its impossible to lets say do a small jump, the player will always takes huge leaps! The levels are very large and detailed, each has a different theme, but there are traps, where you can actually fall from the end of a level back to the beginning and have to do it all over again, making the game very tedious and frustrating! If you want a fun game, along this genre, take a look at the Gameboy Advance game, Lady Sia. Its also very unfortunate that I have given this game one star, because I have never given anything one star.

I have played Pitfall for 2 weeks now and it is a fun game that plays well but having to start over each time i turn the game off is a real downer. you cannot save any games. its fun to play but you have to go through each level over and over and over instead of having a save. therefore its only a two week game. i am ready bored of it and want to give it away..

An old favorite of mine

The original Pitfall: The Mayan Adventure was released almost 8 years ago for the Genesis and Super Nintendo, and I loved playing it on my Genesis, I played it constantly. When I heard it was being released on the GBA, I snatched it up, and it gives me a nostalgic feeling when I play it now. However, all of the problems that plagued the original are present here, the tediously designed levels and somewhat uninspired gameplay, but the good outweighs the bad. The graphics look better than ever, the animation and control is super smooth, and the backgrounds are nicely detailed. All in all, this new version of an old classic is a pretty good addition to your GBA library.
