This game is good, because he has stars from the '68. Cars are very cool too. But it is hard to adjust parameters of the game. Graphic sucks. Hard to drive if you aren't ace in GP cars driving. If you are F-1 fanatic, you can buy this game. I give to it 3 stars.

Best racing simulation out there. Very hard to learn so not for the causal nintedo crowd who think they can race Michael Schumacher after a couple of laps. Like in real life the cars are very difficult to handle and the first several laps are usually spend spinning out. Once you get the hang of it it's fantastic and the online community is the best around. Despite the game being old there is yet to be one that has proven to be as accurate and as long lasting as GPL!

This is the grand daddy of all online racing games. Modelled on the 1967 Grand Prix racing season it gives you a fantastic total racing experience of a time when drivers were racers first and foremost.

There is a thriving online community with many racing leagues comprising drivers from all over the world. Although it's great out of the box you'll want to update to give better car sounds, graphics and some of the literally hundreds of tracks available for free on the internet.

Two warnings:
1. It's realistic and therefore intially hard to drive even one lap.
2. It's totally addictive and may suck you in to a world of brake bias, 4 wheel drifts and seeing whether it really is possible to take the Masta kink at Spa without lifting off the throttle.

This game is fantastic for Formula One fans.

F1 (esp. in the USA) is fairly "ignored" and therefore, it's small fans base is generally even MORE fanatic.

Bring to these fans an F1 simulator that is well rounded in history and in difficulty and they will rejoyce in it's near "unplayable" state! We love F1 and we know how difficult it is (and especially, WAS) to drive a car that only a few drivers in the world could drive the way it was meant to be driven. F1 is not meant for weekend warriors driving as fast as possible around a wide track. It's much more than that . . . and proves it in Grand Prix Legends.

If you don't know who Jim Clark, Chris Amon or Jochen Rindt is . . . this game will probably be frustrating.

PS: When you play for the first time, you will spin and crash. This will lead to an obsession that could last a lifetime.

This game is the king of all racing games.
Yes it is hard to drive but you will learn.
The sound is very very good.
The ferrari make the best engine sound of them all.
The graphics are very good.
Buy it.

A great concept, but very, very difficult. While claiming to be an exceptionally accurate racing sim, I find it hard to believe that one of these cars will spin out of control while rounding a corner at only 30 mph! My Montero suv can do better than that. The sounds are terrific, but that's not enough.

Best driving simulator available to date.

To really appreciate the physic model of gpl you will need to get a good force feed back wheel, Logitech Wingman Force Feedback is what I use, and you will need to download the patch that gives the game ff.

For internetet racing, you will hooked up and racing in no time.

It is the best ever, and topping it will be extremely difficult. Enoy and I"ll see you at Monza some day.

I got this game in February and I've been working hard on it. It proves how much better that the drivers in 1967 were compared to todays F1 drivers. I can't quite understand why Cooper and Honda wouldn't let them use their cars on the game, and why did they leave out Lemans. Well rookies, prepare for a real hard experience. The Eagle Westlake rocks!!

This is the closest you can get to the real thing. If you're in to serious sim racing you have allready purchased this game a long time ago, but if you're about to become a serious sim racer you'll have no choice but to buy it.

I moved on to GPL from the NFS series of games and have never regretted it. 3 years after being created there are hundreds of new tracks, improved track and car graphics, utilities, movies, and websites dedicated to this game. Its the best Sim ever, bar none!
