So after playing the advance copy that Nintendo sent me, I need to say, this Metroid game is great. The part with the laser beams where the guy shoots and then the aliens all jump back except for the one who gets fried, but then just appears as a burnt-up crisp that runs around; that's the kind of gaming I remember from back in the Intellivision days, where the original Metroid first made its' debut. It's a good thing Nintendo is licensing this from Konami, because they made a mess of the series after their first attempt at a 3-D version on the Genesis. Thank goodness Nintendo decided to take another good property (a 'la Gran Turismo) and turn it around from the train wreck its' original developers have wrought!
Metroid Hero Mission? More like ZERO MISSION!

This game is awesome. I got my advance copy today. You play as Aran, a really messed up dude who's been in some trouble with the law. So he was given two options: jail or hunting aliens in space. He chooses space, but is infected by an X, a clone of himself. Soon he gets better and goes to a space station to fight aliens...and that's when the game gets good.
Later you fight the big brain that controls everything and you get to explore the Chozo ruins. There you find out Aran is really an X himself!! But I won't spoil the rest. Play the game to find out!
Metroid! Yeah!

I can't wait for this game to come out. I hope it's as good as my favorite game of all time, Metroid Fusion (which I have beat over 700 times thanks to boring days at school).
Buy This game!! Seriously. It's so awsome!!!

Plus the end is extended and the old music is backed (but it's a little altered). This game is so sweet!!!!! Get it. Have u bought it yet? well if you haven't, do it!!!

Ive always liked the original Metroid for the standard NES but Ive never gotten very far mainly because I didnt have a guide if there were any for that game but also because it was hard. This game is more my style.Where the first one it was fun just to run around and shoot enemies this one is easier to play and Im much better at it.The music in the first Metroid was great for its time as well as the graphics but this one's music and graphics are much better. Its easier too.I know some may call that a con but I most certainly call it a pro because it would appeal to people who arent really expert players.Enough talk run out to the store and buy this now.
great

Someone said that too many levels are repeated. Why would they say that? Of course levels were repeated; it is a remake of the original game.
Great Game

I don't actually have this game, but I play it every day with my friend. It has a great story line and it is challenging, especially for you guys who don't play Metroid games a lot. If you play it for a long time it'll still be fun. There's a save room right before the last boss, Robot Ridley, and you can still go anywhere you want anytime you want. Once you play for a while, you get used to the controls. This game has GREAT graphics(especially when you blow stuff up). It's a remaid version of the original Metroid, but much more advanced. For you people who don't like Metroid, I bet you'll probably like this!
not bad
