this game is cool, but the N64 version is better. better apperance, better handling and more battle modes, but i guess this will do while on the go.

This is I think one of the easiest games to get hooked on to. You can play as all the favorites-Mario, Luigi, Princess Peach, Yoshi, Wario, Bowser, Toad and Donkey Kong. Launch honing shells, wall bouncing shells and throw bananas at your opponents. Also get a speed boost with the mushrooms and become invicible with the star, then shrink the racers with a lightning bolt. In time trial you start out with 3 mushrooms. Race on original tracks like Bowser Castle, Yoshi Island and Rainbow Road. Buy this game, it rocks

I love this game, the graphics are pushing the GBA to it's limit in this traditional Mario Kart Game. It has all of the charactors returning from the N64. With 20 brand-new levels and 20 returning levels, it will keep you playing.

This is a fun racing game with 5 cirkets (1 you must unlock) with 4 tracks in each with three levals 50cc 100cc & 150cc. Good color but some tracks could youse more lighting on a few tracks. good for a first game!! Also it has the new one pack racing but if you want full 2-4 player action you should get a game for eack gameboy

Good but not great

This game is a lot of fun, but it's not as great as the original. My biggest complaint is the inability to reconfigure button/controls. Gas is 'A' and power slide/jump is 'R'. Holding this combination for a while will give you a charlie horse unless you have the small hands of an 8 year old.

A Great New Chapter in the Mario Kart Saga

Not many words can describe how great this game really is. Although the control is not nearly up to par with that of the N64 version, it is far superior to the nearly ten year old SNES version. Using the GBA's ability for Mode 7 scaling (moving the background instead of the actual sprite), it allows an experience that is equivalant to 3D gaming without the ability to do so. The character sprites are based on the N64 models, giving them the look of those in a 3D game. The gameplay elements are borrowed from both previous entries in the series, using the coins from the SNES and the boxes with powerups from the N64. The multiplayer mode is almost flawless, including the 4-player deathmatch mode, the regular Grand Prix mode and the one-on-one racing mode. Possibly the only flaw in this game lies in the course design, as no bumps were included, due to the dificulty of this when dealing with Mode 7 scaling. Aside from this and a very few other minor issues, this could possibly be the best installment in the series yet.

This game does not have many flaws. It is hard to steer and is pretty easy to win. Other than that this game rocks!!!
