One of the best

Graphics look great, nothing I can complain about. I was able to run the game at my notebook's native 1400x1050 resolution by altering the SetupTool.ini file. The gameplay took Resident Evil to a whole new level. Faster enemies make the game more challenging. Also the ink ribbon saves were removed but best of all are the new weapons, inventory system and new point of view. I was annoyed at first because there was no mouse support but then I bought the wireless Logitech Rumblepad which I prefer to use now. RE4 is one of the best single player games for me, definitely did justice to the RE series and then some.

Cheap copy of console version

Hardcore PC Gamers beware. this is a bad copy of a console game. Graphics are not impressive and game play for me is boring. Everybody else seems to love this game. If you have $19.00 buy it you may also like it.

This is the greatest of the series. The graphics and gameplay are second to none. The only drawback is that you can't use the mouse, but hey once you start playing this game you won't care!

Mostly the same game

Ok, here is the deal. Same game as it was on the Cube. The Cube is still the best platfrom to play this game on. When I heard it was coming to the PC I was overjoyed because I am a PC gamer at heart, for one simple reason. With a mouse I can aim much better. Playing it on the Cube was easy for me, but with a mouse I could be so much better. For Ubisoft to leave out mouse support is a slap in the face for PC gamers. Who wants a game pad, when you could aim with a mouse? It's a great game, but the controls could have been so much better for the PC. Aslo one thing that really is upsetting. The detail in this PC game is less than on the Cube, or playstation 2. Why? I had both going (One on the Cube, and On the PC) to see what was missing. Lets see, FOG, the lighting on the PC was awfule, and many more issues. This game is not worth buying on the PC. I am glad that I got this game free. Now I am telling you, DON'T BUY THE PC GAME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Wait for it to come out on the Wii. If you can't wait, buy it on the cube or playstation.

The Best Game I've Ever Played In My Life

I've been playing PC games since 1985 and this is the best game in my life. Period. I never liked shooting games and never liked horror games. But this is something special. This game has become part of me. With the American version (there's a graphic patch for the Europian and Asian versions), the graphics are incredible. The mouse is not supported but there's a patch that allows players to use a mouse. However, this game is meant to be played with a gamepad. I use an Xbox 360 wireless pad for this game and the control is very responsive.

What sets this game apart from 100+ games I've played is its game play. You must experience it to believe it. Also, this game features the hottest game babe I've seen, Ada Wong. Compared with Ada, Lara Croft seems like a joke. If you beat the main game, you unlock two special missions for Ada and they are more fun than the main game. You can also unlock a mini game called the mercenary game, which will eat your life because it's so additictive and fun.

There are many reasons why the game cube and PS2 versions of this game won all kinds of awards. With the new graphics, the PC version looks better than those 2 versions. Plus, you can get lots of incredible hacks for the PC version.

Patch and Mouse Mod

This is a great game. Out of the box, the graphics are pretty bad when compared with its console counterparts', but that's why UBISOFT released a patch which significantly upgrades the graphics. Secondly, there is a mod which enables mouse support.

Trust me. Buy this game, then download the patch and mouse mod. You won't regret it.

BADDDDDDDDDD

First of all this game has no mouse control at all.To fire your weapon you have to press shift and enter at the same time and you have to use another 2 buttons to line up your shot. All other games do all this just using the mouse. That aint all every action you take you have to use 2 or 3 buttons to do it.It is not a free roaming game. You are on a path if you try to walk off of it you can't.Very linier game play and really bad controls.I just bought this game and am putting it up for sale.It is obviousley a console game adapted to get the pc dollars

Lousy... Not Worth the Wait Nor the Hype

This console turned PC title has been one of the biggest disappointments to date. This PC title had been delayed many months, and for what? Ubisoft took their sweet time [doing what?] just to release a shoddy product. What kind of software exists that doesn't integrate use of the [universal] mouse? Why are the keyboard controls so complicated? The gameplay is hurt from this lack of foresight on the part of Ubisoft, which hurts the game considerably. The cinematic scenes look worse on the PC, when compared to those of consoles.

Just purchase a console and the game. After all, it was originally meant for a CONSOLE, NOT a PC.

Excellent console game, poor PC port

The game was written for game consoles that use gamepad type controllers. If you own a PS2 or GameCube, this is an excellent game to pick up for one of those systems. However, on the PC, it will probably cause you nothing but frustration unless you have a gamepad. Even with a gamepad, playing this style of game on your PC is going to be frustrating if you're used to mouse/keyboard first person shooters. Basically, the PC experience is disappointing.
