Turok 3: Shadow of Oblivion.......

Turok 3: Shadow of Oblivion is the last game in the series on the N64. While the series takes on a more Urban futuristic feel this time around, with not one but two players to choose from, it's a great game to finish out the Turok legacy with. In this game, Oblivion has bridged the Lost World and ours intending to eliminate the Turok lifeline and dominate the universe. And with Oblivion's presence known, city leaders have cordoned off streets and blanketed the region with martial law. It's up to you as Danielle or Joseph(Turok 2 Joshua Fireseed's Siblings) to stop Oblivion. New additions to the game are a save anywhere feature, 40 new enemies that span over 5 worlds, and 40-plus multiplayer maps. Not only that but, visually, this is the best-looking game in the series. Take a look at the cutscenes and see how characters show emotion throughout the game(which was highly unheard of at the time,at least to this extent).

During the days of the N64, Iguana was a force to be reckoned with on the N64. Consistently putting out worthy games in any N64 owners collection. It's an awesome game and one I highly recommend to all. In fact, I recommend them all. Turok was the absolute best on the N64.

TUROK 3- THE BEST TUROK YET

LAST WEEK I BOUGHT TUROK 3 AND I MUST ADMIT, IT IS EVEN BETTER THAN THE OTHER TUROKS. THERE ARE 2 NEW PLAYABLE CHARACTERS NAMED DANIELLE AND JOSEPH FIRESEED. EACH HAS THEIR OWN WEAPONS AND ABILITIES. FOR EXAMPLE, DANIELLE HAS A GRAPPLING HOOK AND CAN JUMP HIGHER THAN JOSEPH, AND JOSEPH HAS NIGHT-VISION GOGGLES AND CAN CRAWL THROUGH SMALL SPACES. THIS GAME FEATURES 5 NEW LEVELS WHICH ARE FUN, CHALLENGING AND DETAILED. IT HAS AWESOME REALISTIC MOUTH MOVEMENTS AND FACIAL EXPRESSIONS THAT ALMOST MAKE YOU FEEL LIKE THE CHARACTERS ARE REAL. THIS GAME ALSO HAS MANY NEW AND OLD DETAILED ENEMYS THAT BRING THE ACTION AND EXCITEMENT TO LIFE. IF YOU ARE LOOKING FOR A GOOD ACTION GAME, I HIGHLY RECCOMEND THIS!

GREAT!

I've heard alot of pepole say, "This ain't as good as other Turok's." But, I don't agree. Turok 3 is one of the Best, Turok's out of the 4. It's pretty much a tie with, Turok: Rage War's. And, the level's are Fun. Not too long like Turok 2: Seed's of Evil's level's. There is also, a GREAT Multi-player mode.

This game is good. No. Wonderful!

When I heard of this game from a friend, I thought he was talking about Turok: Rage Wars (which I thought absolutely ...). So I hesitated. When I went to the video store, I mosied over to the games section and realized that he was telling the truth. I turned on the game I was fascinated by the graphics and sound, But I was dissapointed with the game length. It is only five levels that take only about 30 minutes to finish. I beat the game the honest way, then I learned the cheats(whoever says that playing with cheats makes the game less fun is a lier). The deathmatch is much better than the other two Turoks. One more flaw is that there is not as much blood as Turok 2 or 1. I like my games extremely bloody and realistic. Also, the effects of the cerebral bore are not as good. Other than those flaws, I found this game excruciatingly entertained, and I definantly recomend it to everybody!

Good, but strayed from the dino hunt...

This is a great first person shooter, one of the best I've ever played. The upgradable weapons are a treat, but if Turok: Dinosaur Hunter is the only shooter you like, don't get it. The first one was great because you got to hunt dinosaurs(duh, dinosaur hunter), the second one, Turok 2: Seeds of Evil is 50%goldeneye-like game, 50% Turok 1,it basically could have been left out of the series, as it shows the rising of the ultimate evil(Oblivion in Shadows of Oblivion). The 3rd one is mostly a goldeneye type game. It strayed from the Dinosaur Hunter theme. This is still a good game, but if you're a hardcore Turok: Dinosaur Hunter fan, this game isn't for you. Rent before you buy... although I didn't. It's great.

It's not too often you see a second sequal that lives up to the original two. Turok 3 lives up to it's name! Fight some of the scariest monsters ever made on a video game as the legendary war between the forces of good and evil continue in Turok's latest adventure! Joshua Fireseed is now dead, and the only memebers of his family left are his sister, Danielle, and his brother, Joseph. It's up to you to help these two new Turok warriors save the Lost Land and the human race from total annihilation! Fight undead humans and zombie dogs infested with Oblivion's mind-controlling energy! Infiltrate top secret government bases battling soldiers and specially trained scientists to stop a meltdown! Struggle against the Fire-born in the lava-filled heart of the Earth itself! Battle the Flesh Eaters in the heart of their stronghold complex in a twisting maze of mines and machinery. Put your skills of survival and courage to the ultimate test in this game, where only the strongest survive. Here, there is only one simple rule: destroy, or be destroyed! Is that child you're looking for all throughout the game really worth the search? You may not live long enought to find out, but if you do, turst me, the answer will scare the pants off you!

Not the definitive Turok, but still an enjoyable game

Basically, the entire Turok series can be categorized by this:Turok:Dinosaur Hunter,Turok 2:Welcome to the rest of the world, and Turok 3:Welcome to Planet Earth. Part of the problem with Turok 3 is that the cinemas are not at the level they were in Turok 2. In fact the cinemas are more like Goldeneye. And that's not the only thing that's like Goldeneye. The weapons are now more like Goldeneye. I mean a hand gun w/a laser target? Where are those "exotic" weapons? I mean the only really "exotic" weapon is the Cerebral Bore. Other than that everything is basically an upgrade of old weapons. The enemy AI is almost dumb. I mean honestly it is. And don't even get me started on the death animations or lack there of. In my opinion the 'save anywhere' feature actually takes away from the franticness of the game. There's no more running around feeling like at any minute you can die searching for a save point. Now there are some good things about the game. Such as a nice homage paid to the original Turok. This one actually has more of a story to it than just trying to get to the big boss. A plot you say? Well, yes. But it can be annoying. The 2 characters do have 'some' different levels and weapons, which is kind of cool. Turok 3 is no where near being the definitive Turok. If you're a fan of the first or second one then rent this one and check it out. Cause it's closer to Goldeneye than Turok.

Pretty Good

This game is good. But it starts in a COMPLETE different spot then where Turok 2 left off.Overall it is a great game with good graphics(at least for the N64),great gore effects, and a good story. But only buy this if you are an exterme Turok fan like me.If not buy Turok Evolution if you have Xbox,Game Boy Advance,PS2,or Gamecube.3 stars for Turok 3!
