As sequels go, this may be the worst of all time......the Godfather III of video games. What happened to the strategy, deep levels, and intense action from "Seeds of Evil"? Turok 3 is a HUGE letdown! The levels are too short, the story line, characters and weapons are unimpressive. Shouldn't game sequels evolve and be better than the ones that came before? Well, this one simply isn't. A future Turok release is hinted at, but I wouldn't expect anything spectacular based on this latest effort from Acclaim.

I purchased Turok 3 in hopes of being equally stunned by the graphics that I saw in Turok 2. I'm sorry to say I was let down-big time. Turok 3 does not even come close to the fantastic graphics that you seen in #2. It seems slower and has jerky movements. I would encourage people not to purchase it. The creators or turok 3 should be ashamed of the quality of this game.
i'd rather shoot myself than play it again

Firstly, I just have to say I loved Turok and Turok 2. Turok 3 however was a big disappointment. The graphics and sound were pretty good overall I guess, but the playability was non-existent. The best part of the game was inside of the first 10 minutes. I dont know what happend here, but I was majorly mad at wasting my hard earned cash. Buy this game if you need an expensive coaster.
Get T2 instead

Whoa, were do I start. This game was by FAR the worst turok game EVER.
The graphics are horrible(except for the talking), caracters from previous turoks come back and look COMPLEATLY different. I mean, not even remotly close.
The sound is okay. The music is all the same though.
Lets see, gameplay. The AI is horible. The enemy stands there and shoots at you.Unlike its previous game, where the Dinosoids would hide behind crates and throw grenades, or self distruct, ect.
The guns are like worse versions of T2s guns. The only gun I like is the hardest gun to get.
The story line is bland. Nothing really happens. It has nothing to do with all the othe turok games. All of a sudden, things just happen.
Over all, it seems the game had a lack of intrest when they made it. Notice Iguana(who made the other two turok games) didnt make this one. Tells you something just by that.
New Turok game lacks punch of series

The Turok series is a classic for n-64, but the series has become stagent. Turok 3 lacks the weapons and levels that the other two turoks had. What happended to dinosaurs? You'll see muntant bloodsucking leaches than you will dinosaurs. The producers of this game promised better multiplayer than rage wars. Boy were they wrong. This game also has little replay abilty.I recommend that you should rent it instead of buying it.
this hurts

its like shooting myself in the foot to say this game sucks, but the truth is it does. turok 2 was a masterpiece. But instead of trying to top it, which makes most companies succesful with a video game franchise like turok, it looks like acclaim thought using the same trick twice would do it, unfortunatley thats not the case. the boss fights were awful and didnt make any sense. The weapons were the same as turok 2 with a few upgrades, most of wich are useless and uncreative. The graphics were excellent for this games time though. Theres more but i cant name them all. If your a casual first person shooter then avoid this game, but if your a turok fan then this game should be in your collection.
Turok 3? never heard of it.

I returned Turok 3 after 2 days ,It's not that it's a bad game I liked the game play & the theme but compared to 1 & 2 it SUCKS!not what I expected at all! The graphics aren't as good niether are the weapons and plus I beat the game.now maybe I didn't see all that it has to offer in that short of time oh well,I should have seen this coming after that joke of a game Rage Wars was released.I do have 1 question to ask to the makers of the Turok games though( Where are all the freakin Dinosaurs!!!)man! for all of you die hard Turok fans out there ( like I am or was ) you might want to rent it first then decide
What happened to the Dinosaur Hunter??

I bought his game because I loved the original so much. The problem is that this isn't really a sequal, as the original premise of a dinosaur hunter has been scrapped. Too bad too because that's what made the game stand out from all the other shoot-em-ups. But at least they've given the game an excellent design that has no problems standing alongside others in this genre. Graphics are crisp and clean but kept dark to heighten the scare factor. In other words, instead of fog like in the first Turok, things are kept in shadow here. I've noticed some stuttering in the cut scens, but never durring the game itself. By the way, the cut scenes are done very very well, so much so that the characters lips seem to be in sync with the dialogue!
Note that there is definitely less blood and gore in this game than Turok 2. I'm not complaining tough. I don't see the need for so much gore. But don't get me wrong, the M rating is deserved as you can decapitate enemies and blood does fly when you shoot an enemy. Also the overall feel of the game is very dark/creepy. This a good game to play on a dark night to get really spooked. A great feature is that you have a choice of playing as one of two characters at the beginning which that adds a bit of replay value to the title. You'll be able to use different weapons and access different areas depending on which character you choose.
One real problem I have with the game is that the on-screen gun site is so small and darkly colored that I have a really hard time seeing where it is in the heat of battle. Using the auto target system doesn't seem to do much at all as even when there is only one enemy coming towards me the site won't target it. What's up with that? This little flaw makes the game much harder than it should be and causes A LOT of frustration. Thankfully there are many places to save game progress.
So my overall feeling is that this is a very solid game but one that lacks any real orginality or invention. I really miss the feeling and story of the original Turok and would much rather see future sequals follow in it's footsteps. Hunting dionsaurs is too fun an idea to pass on so quickly. Killing monsters from another dimension has been done enough. Get this game if you're an avid fan of first person shooters, but not if you're a fan of the original Turok.
Good to rent but not to own

I was immediately impressed with Turok 3's graphics. It starts in a war torn city scape. It's fun to run around and hide behind rubble, shoot at snipers etc. You go through a few different envionments including the "lost jungle" of the original. This part reminded me of a cool feature that the recent games have lost. It was originally Turok:DINOSAUR HUNTER! In seeds of evil it was dino-people, but now it's just people. There are some monster guys, even a couple of raptors in the lost jungle area, but nothing like the first one. The levels are fun and about the right length. I agree with a previous reviewer that seeds of evil's levels were just too long. I constantly needed to consult the map so I wouldn't run in circles. Even with the map it took hours to finish a level. That's another thing, it took me a week or so to finish Seeds of Evil (actually I gave up when it came time to go through all the levels again to get those final keys). I beat Turok 3 in 2 days. I was kind of surprised how easy it was to beat the bosses. Run circles around them while firing and you can't lose. All in all it was a very enjoyable game...but I definately would have this game listed on ebay right now if I were to have bought it.
