Somewhere, the magic got lost in the making of this sequel. Like most Acclaim products, this software is glitchy and full of bugs. That aside, the levels are fewer and shorter, the game completes much faster (too fast, compared to earlier versions), and the weapons seem fewer than before. Even the multiplayer levels are tiny. Was Acclaim running short on memory for this cart?
On the positive side, the addition of two seperate characters with unique weapons and abilities is a plus. The graphics are good (with the expansion pak), and the objectives are not so nitpicky ... as they were in Turok 2. Like most games of this type, the playline is linear and secrets are minimal, which I find hindering and boring, personally.
Overall, I think your best bet is to rent this game a few times until you win and then return it. I hardly think that ... justifies a game that will be played only a few times and then retired to the back of the shelf to collect dust. Turok 1 had the magic, Turok 2 a little less, but this one has little innovation or improvement that I can see.
Good, but strayed from the dino hunt...

This is a great first person shooter, one of the best I've ever played. The upgradable weapons are a treat, but if Turok: Dinosaur Hunter is the only shooter you like, don't get it. The first one was great because you got to hunt dinosaurs(duh, dinosaur hunter), the second one, Turok 2: Seeds of Evil is 50%goldeneye-like game, 50% Turok 1,it basically could have been left out of the series, as it shows the rising of the ultimate evil(Oblivion in Shadows of Oblivion). The 3rd one is mostly a goldeneye type game. It strayed from the Dinosaur Hunter theme. This is still a good game, but if you're a hardcore Turok: Dinosaur Hunter fan, this game isn't for you. Rent before you buy... although I didn't. It's great.
New Turok game lacks punch of series

The Turok series is a classic for n-64, but the series has become stagent. Turok 3 lacks the weapons and levels that the other two turoks had. What happended to dinosaurs? You'll see muntant bloodsucking leaches than you will dinosaurs. The producers of this game promised better multiplayer than rage wars. Boy were they wrong. This game also has little replay abilty.I recommend that you should rent it instead of buying it.

this is a realy fun game, although the ai humans seem a little funny like when you walk into a room they stand there for 10/12 seconds then shoot then another 10/12 seconds pass and they shoot again,i also was a little dissapointed with the "oblivion"boss it looks a little weird and the multi-player mode dosent include my favorite character the campanigher.other then that this is a great game.i recommend it for any turok fan!.
Good.....but not as good as the first two

Turok 3 is a good game no doubt but it could have bin
better.
The weapons are what got me to give this a 4 stars.
The weapons kick ass. The characters are good to.
THis one also got me confused in the story.
In the beggining was that turok who died int that house.
Cause I keep remebering turok as some old native american
in the first. Well anyways the game is good but not awsome.
The cut scene have bin inproved.
The story is acctualy pretty decent. The part with the kid turning in to oblivion was pretty cool. The games action is alright. The violence is still top notch like the other 2.
If you want a really good sequal to a game try this game out
but if you want a really good sequal try Turok2:seeds of evil.
Now thats a really good sequal!
So give this game a try if you want.
Get T2 instead

Whoa, were do I start. This game was by FAR the worst turok game EVER.
The graphics are horrible(except for the talking), caracters from previous turoks come back and look COMPLEATLY different. I mean, not even remotly close.
The sound is okay. The music is all the same though.
Lets see, gameplay. The AI is horible. The enemy stands there and shoots at you.Unlike its previous game, where the Dinosoids would hide behind crates and throw grenades, or self distruct, ect.
The guns are like worse versions of T2s guns. The only gun I like is the hardest gun to get.
The story line is bland. Nothing really happens. It has nothing to do with all the othe turok games. All of a sudden, things just happen.
Over all, it seems the game had a lack of intrest when they made it. Notice Iguana(who made the other two turok games) didnt make this one. Tells you something just by that.
TUROK 3- THE BEST TUROK YET

LAST WEEK I BOUGHT TUROK 3 AND I MUST ADMIT, IT IS EVEN BETTER THAN THE OTHER TUROKS. THERE ARE 2 NEW PLAYABLE CHARACTERS NAMED DANIELLE AND JOSEPH FIRESEED. EACH HAS THEIR OWN WEAPONS AND ABILITIES. FOR EXAMPLE, DANIELLE HAS A GRAPPLING HOOK AND CAN JUMP HIGHER THAN JOSEPH, AND JOSEPH HAS NIGHT-VISION GOGGLES AND CAN CRAWL THROUGH SMALL SPACES. THIS GAME FEATURES 5 NEW LEVELS WHICH ARE FUN, CHALLENGING AND DETAILED. IT HAS AWESOME REALISTIC MOUTH MOVEMENTS AND FACIAL EXPRESSIONS THAT ALMOST MAKE YOU FEEL LIKE THE CHARACTERS ARE REAL. THIS GAME ALSO HAS MANY NEW AND OLD DETAILED ENEMYS THAT BRING THE ACTION AND EXCITEMENT TO LIFE. IF YOU ARE LOOKING FOR A GOOD ACTION GAME, I HIGHLY RECCOMEND THIS!
GREAT!

I've heard alot of pepole say, "This ain't as good as other Turok's." But, I don't agree. Turok 3 is one of the Best, Turok's out of the 4. It's pretty much a tie with, Turok: Rage War's. And, the level's are Fun. Not too long like Turok 2: Seed's of Evil's level's. There is also, a GREAT Multi-player mode.
This game is good. No. Wonderful!

When I heard of this game from a friend, I thought he was talking about Turok: Rage Wars (which I thought absolutely ...). So I hesitated. When I went to the video store, I mosied over to the games section and realized that he was telling the truth. I turned on the game I was fascinated by the graphics and sound, But I was dissapointed with the game length. It is only five levels that take only about 30 minutes to finish. I beat the game the honest way, then I learned the cheats(whoever says that playing with cheats makes the game less fun is a lier). The deathmatch is much better than the other two Turoks. One more flaw is that there is not as much blood as Turok 2 or 1. I like my games extremely bloody and realistic. Also, the effects of the cerebral bore are not as good. Other than those flaws, I found this game excruciatingly entertained, and I definantly recomend it to everybody!
