You know, its rare to see a good game come thats based on a movie. I mean, has anyone PLAYED the matrix?!?
Spider-Man is a good game, both as a comic book and a movie game.
The ability to web sling, which is much better than in it's ps1 and n64 days,is fun to do and is well implemented for the air battles. In fact, I'm glad that they added the Green Goblin as a playable character, because it forced them to rework the web slinging aspect of the game.
The bosses are believable, and fun to fight. There are a few stealth missions, and well implemented at that.
And the bonus features. 3 costumes for Spider-Man can be used, and the green goblin becomes a playable character as well. There is even a bowling mini-game to unlock.
All in all, a very good game for a very good character.
This one's no cartoon!

For a start, the graphics are amazing! allaround good not just the characters or environments but both and everything else! Multiple training modes allow you to get comfortable with the controls before starting the Story Mode, not to mention the tutorial with a witty and hilarous narrator. Now to get into the Rest of the Game, The story Starts with a search for uncle ben's killer in the first three "origins" levels: "Search for Justice", "Warehouse Hunt", and "Birth of a Hero". Next is the "Oscorps Gambit" level in which you pose for your camera(shooting a balloon with you webs). The next part is a nice insert that is an expansion on the story in the Movie. The Shocker Levels "The Subway Station", "Chase Through The Sewer", and "Showdown With The Shocker". Then the Three Vulture Levels "Vulture's Lair", "Vulture Escapes", and Air Duel With Vulture". Then the Scorpion Levels "Corralled" and "Scorpion's Revenge". Next, the Unity Day Festival scene and beyond, from the movie is in corporated nicely as "Coup D'Etat", "The Offer", "Race Aganst Time", and "The Razor's Edge". Next Spidy has to investigate Oscorp because he found their logo on one of Goblin's weapons, in "Breaking and Entering", "Chemical Chaos", "Oscorp's Ultimate Weapon", and "Escape from Oscorp". Last but not least, the spectacular ending of the movie is recreated nicely recreated in teh last two levels: "Mary Jane Kidnapped" and "Face-Off at the Bridge"!
The GamePlay in this game is invinently addicting, and you'll find yourself sitting down with one of the training mode levels, quite offen, just to play. As for Saving your game, it takes only 2 blocks and your asked to save after every level. Also In most levels, there are Golden Spiders that give you extra fighting combos. The Most important combo is the "HandSpring" obtained in the "Birth of a Hero" Level. Don't miss it!
Overall Rating: "Must Buy" weather your a fan of Spider-man or not, this game is spectacular.

When I first played this game it was the PS2 version. I really enjoyed it. It is just like the past Spidey games exsept almost everything has inpruved. The Gamecube version of the game has better loading times and controls and you can control the bad camera angels. The only thing bad about this game is the camera angels but you can easily change them with the C-stick. This game has great grafics and sound along with smoove gameplay. Before bying this game game I would rent it because it is quite short.
Fun game rental.

I really enjoyed this game. The concept of swinging around the city is a lot of fun. There are many things that I like in this game, for instance swinging aroun on buildings, haveing aerial combat with The Green Goblin is a blast too. But the googd also comes with the bad. There are far too many places where it is too dark to tell where you are going (i.e. Storming vultures clock tower has some very dark areas). Another thing is the game is extremly short, I beat it about five times when I rented it ( I diidnt' buy the game). I guess the trick is to beat the game on Super Hero difficulty and get a high score, but quite frankly playing the game over and over would get very old. Unless you're a huge fan of Spiderman, or enjoy playing the game for points I wouldn't buy it. But hey it's up to you, but trust me definatley rent it first to see if you like it.

This is an excellent game for any interested in the superhero genre. Control is excellent, although it does take a bit of practice to master Spider-man's many abilities. It has varying levels of difficulty, so it is both easy to play for casual gamers and difficult enough even for those who play so much they've forgotten what sunshine is.
Upon completing the game, players are rewarded with new characters that they may play as, the most advanced being the Green Goblin (replaying the game as the Goblin makes easy levels difficult and difficult levels easy).
The game is filled with movies and snappy one-liners from Spider-man. Some have told me they found these lines obnoxious, but I find them to be perfectly in line with the Spider-man fans have known and loved for years.
In short, it is an excellent game. It is rather short, but not comparatively so for a superhero action/adventure game.
Not Spiderman. Movie's great, game stinks.

This game really stinks.
Graphics are the only thing that would save it from a 1 star.Nice explosions.
Gameplay is boring and not exciting, only fun when you fight in the air, like the vulture. Way too easy to beat. And also, when you swing in the air,you can basically swing forever. But what's strange is that you're web shoots to the sky when you swing, and doesn't get on a building. The web gets on the sky???!!! Spiderman looks retarded when he's swinging.
Sound is bad execpt for the voice acting. Dialogue sounds AWFUL.
A bad/mediocre game. Do not buy, a waste of you're money.
im sorry this games pathetic

Im sorry i just dont understand why it got peoples choice but i hate it. but the graphics are all right and the fighting is all right thats why it got 2 stars. This game is fantastic! If you ever saw the movie spider-man, you will notice that the voices are done by the real actors and actresses. The graphicas are fabulous, especially in the cut-scenes.
There are lots of challenging levels to keep you going, where you save a friend from distress, or fight alongside an ally. Training is excellent. You can train to do any move, or attack, and much more!!!
BOTTOM LINE:
Get the game.
Okay game...

This game wasn't that good. Sure the graphics were great, as long as u were outside. The inside was too dark and the moves were...bland. Once u beat the game on super hard (took me about 7 or 8 hours) u can play through the game as the green goblin! U get his glider and his surpreme weapons. U also get to face a new green goblin w/ that. the gameplay is fairly easy and gets boring. Definately a rental, but not a buy.
P.S. I love spiderman, sadly this game wasn't that good!
Don't let the movie fool you-NOT WORTH IT!

I saw the movie and I loved it. Then, the game came and I bought it immediately. Three days later, I put it in my game drawer and left it with my N64 and PSX games. It's been there for over six months. The levels are challenging, but there aren't very many and none take more than an hour. Pinhead Bowling does last forever, and it's the closest to two player the game has. Get codes, too. The codes are great. I give it three stars because it's a good game, but I wasted $$$, and so will you if you buy this.
