I loved this game and I have about 200 hours into it now. Although a few months ago I kind of got sick of it. The combat system is great and everything else in it is great too. As I said, it just gets old after 3 or 4 months. So enjoy it! For a while... Oh yeah, and if you have it for your PC remember to have a really good computer and video card!

This is the first Elder Scrolls game that I've played and I wish that I'd caught on sooner. The dpeth of gameplay is amazing. You want to spend your time sneaking around the city and pick-pocketing rich merchants? Fine. You'd rather save the world? You can do that too. The main game is rich and involving and can easily occupy over 100 hundred hours of gameplay. So far, the expansions have been a lot of fun too. I havn't played Shivering Isles yet, but that's only because my girlfriend is away for work and won't let me play if she's not around to watch. This game is one of the only games that I would actually go buy a brand new system just to play. Its that good.
Oh, how I love Oblivion!

This game got me into the gamer world. I spent nearly all my summer last year in "Cyrodil". The graphics are beyond impressive and the level of game play is unbelievable. You get the option of playing with a female character, which was so nice. I fell in love with all the little ingredients...like the grapes and apples...pumpkins and lavender sprigs! I highly recommend this game for anyone who doesn't like games. You will be damn surprised at the level of enjoyment that can be found running around the vast world. On the other hand, you do need a lot of time to wait for the loading screen. So be prepared.

This is 100% the best game I have ever played. As soon as I get home I start to play this game. It has the most realistic graphics I have ever seen. You can create your charactor with powers and collect weapons ans everything!! I myself like to steal and pick pocket on the game and the guards come after me and I ride my horse to the dock and I ride on the boat but the pirates try to kill me so I jump off the ship and I swam to a deserted island and I found a cave aand I went inside and found these dudes and they were having a sacrifice and they wanted me to hurt the dude so I got the knife and when I was about to hit the dude I turned around and killed the other guy so they all came after me so I ran out. So yah now you know what the game might be like.
best RPG since Ocarina of time.

I got this game, put it in my 360, pretty excited but went in just thinking this is going to be another one of those "lord of the rings" type games with a certain path or mission. I get past the first part of this game and i am blown away. Literally. The graphics on this game are stunning. The thing that really caught my eye is the cycles of the days, how realistic they are. Gameplay is incredible, and the fact that basically anything is possible in this game had me hooked. Do the missions? You can, if you want. Or you can go be a gladiator in the arena, or become a murderer, theif, assasin, or whatever you see fit for you. You can chose your race, gender, skin color, age, from the most general to the smallest details. So, what do i say about The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion? Outstanding. Get it, you will get hooked from the moment you play this game.

The title right there says it all. I'm a sophomore in college and I recently just picked this game back up and I can't stop. I live in a house and I keep my room mates up all night by the sounds of bears howling in pain and blocking skeleton's swords with my shield. My sleep schedule is beyond thrown off due to me staying up for days on end playing this game, doing anything and everything I can think of.
I have done all the faction quests, killed in the name of the dark Sithis, robbed the Imperial Palace under the name of the Grey Fox, make 100's of potions at a time, and still manage to find the time to tell Oreyn how to run my Fighter's Guild. Classes seem trivial to me right now, all that matters to me is wondering who I'm going to save next, what dungeon I'm going to raid, and wondering what command the next Daedra statue shall give to me.
My grades are down because of this game, it will take every single second of your time. Start to get used to it.
Awesome

I have already reviewed the pc version of this game and there's not much difference. What more can I say about this fantastic game. I purchased the collector's edition, so there is a little difference in what the game comes with. The collector's edition comes with an additional dvd that shows basically how the game was made. It also comes with a small guide book to the world of Tamriel and its environs and a replica septim coin. Other that that, the game's the same. I have already beaten the main quest on this game and there are still quite literally hundreds, maybe thousands, of side-quests left. Can you say open-ended game play? Quite possibly the best rpg ever made.

We could not get this game to work so we obviously did not have much fun with this game. I bought this game for my sister's boys in Sweden and I brought it there myself as birthday present. They have an Xbox 360. Unfortunately they could never use the game because of some idiotic limitation built by Microsoft in not allowing US Xbox 360 games to work on European Xbox 360 machines and vice versa. Amazon site and product info there does not make that clear at all. I had no idea. There is no way of knowing this. I think this stinks. My sister's boys were really dissappointed in not being able to play this game and the game sits now and collects dust. They and I are very upset.
