Good pack, but could be better.

This is a good starter pack, but it is missing a couple of the top Xbox games, like Halo and Dead or Alive 3. However, having an extra controller is a great thing.

System is great but the games are bad

The system itself is more powerful and overall better than gamecube and ps2. The system even has a hard drive so you don't have to buy a memorycard. It has broadband only capibiliy which is comming in summer 2002 (If you have dial-up don't count on useing online for xbox). The games are the worst though. The system has 2 good games halo and project gothem racing. I have seen the list for the future games and it doesn't look to promising. (...)

Hey I absolutely reccommend this system to anyone that is fan of good gaming. I mean XBOX has Everything you could ever need: Internet capabilities, a Hard Drive, and not to mention that its gonna have the best games of all time. Dont waste your time with the "OTHER SYSTEMS" because this is the ONLY SYSTEM FOR YOU. IVE Preordered mine, I reccommend this for EVERYONE.

My brothers and I were able to see working demo boxes for the X-Box, Gamecube, and the PS2 side by side in our local Target store. We went looking to buy a Gamecube or a PS2 but, to be completely honest, when you put them side by side and get to play each of them, the XBOX was so much better, not only graphically, but in its controllers that we left empty handed after trying to buy an XBOX. While some will debate the long term viability of each of the consoles, if you can, don't take some one else's opinion--try them out and see for yourself--for me and my 2 brothers, who originally favored the Gamecube, each of were converted to the XBOX--better graphics, better gameplay and just plain more fun!

Okay there are three new video game consoles out there:

1)Playstation 2
2)Game Cube
3)X-BOX

Out of all three of these, I will definately buy Xbox. Before I read up on all of these systems, I was sold on Nintendo's Game Cube. It is true GC is one-hundred dollars cheaper, but the one hundred dollars extra paid fo X-BOX is well worth it. It can play DVD's and CD's. Nintendo's Game Cube cannot do this because the size of the disks the games are on are only 3" in diameter, much smaller than DVD's and CD's.
To me, this leaves the XBOX with one worthy competitor; Playstation 2. Between these, I have to pick XBOX because of the promising future i see in its games and also the graphics!!!
GO XBOX!!!

It's great, no doubt. The initial set-up menu in itself is cool enough to warrant the purchase of one.

However...I could have waited. The games I have (Halo, Gotham, DOA, Oddworld) aren't bad, but if they would have come out on PS2 I probably would have only bought Gotham. I got so excited about X-Box, and had to be the first to get one, but the games available for it at this point don't warrent it. Wait a while...PS2 wasn't really worth owning until Gran Turismo launched either.

Nonetheless: the potential of this console is phenomenal. It is worth owning.

XBOX is going to start an entirely new revolution of gaming, along with its rival: Nintendo Gamecube. With the ability to play DVD's ( just like Playstation 2 ) You can forget buying a DVD player. Just buy this, and you'll have an incredible video game system, AND a DVD player in one! With great games such as Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 2 and Dead or Alive 3 (I beleive its #3) you'll have a smashing afternoon of what may be the greatest system of all time. XBOX is Microsoft's first and only (for the time being) video game system. The only inconvience is that XBOX is the size of a VCR and the controller is pretty big, so younger gamers may have some difficulty gripping an XBOX controller. Do yourself a favor, and pre- order or buy XBOX, and if you have the loot, get Nintendo Gamecube as well.

PS2 and Gamecube fans don't know their facts.

This is for every one out there in the world who owns a Gamecube or PS2, and thinks Xbox is horrible. When I ask my friends why PS2 is better than Xbox, they say because it has more games, well, Duhhhh, it's only been out for 14 month's longer. Then some people say Xbox will fail because it is made by a computer company. Xbox is made by a computer company, but the games aren't. Almost every company who makes games for Gamecube, and PS2 makes games for Xbox. Thus, Xbox will have the same games as the rest of the systems, but will have the games earlier than the other systems because it's alot easier to make games for Xbox because of it's graphic potential. So before you go spreading you're false alligations, please check up on the facts first, O by the way, Xbox is more powerfull, and technologically advanced than Gamecube, and PS2 combined. So don't go spreading you're hate filled rumors about Xbox until you realized you own faults.

This is a great pack to get it has great games and the xbox is a great console and you can go on the internet with it and the game have great graphics so get the xbox before there all gone
