this is a good and fun game. some things are way to hard though but still fun.you could buy it but i think underground is probably better

Well, people expect too much of this game but i can say that it is a huge jump from the classic 2 minute mode where you've to do tasks to an open escenario where you've to find the tasks to do (21 on every level) and every skater has his own final pro challenge that makes the game longer 'cause you want to see the other skaters "ending".

I can say that this game is just part of the history of TH, if you look back to the amazing and incredible THPS 3 you'll see a great game, excellent graphics and incredible soundtrack, but it has the simplicity of the old TH games from PS1, but the game received the score of 10 over 10 in most magazines and game websites, you can check gamespot or ign if you don't believe me, 'cause when the game came out it was like the most incredible game ever created (and i found that only 4 or 5 games on all the history of PS2 have received the Perfect score), and this game is no exception, of course that if you've played TH underground 1 or 2 you'll find a lack of history here, but the game is great anyways and is a step on the ladder, but it has a lot of challenges and tasks to do, and i can assure you that after you play this game a lot, and after you beat it, there will always be something that you couldn't do and you'll find yourself playing this game after years (it happened to me) 'cause somebody told you that you have to bother the elephant to open the aquarium in the zoo (i replayed it after beating TH underground and in the middle of TH underground 2 just to open the aquarium and it was incredibly satisfactory to do it).

This is part of the ladder of TH, part of the history, if some people think that this game is over rated or it isn't a good game, well, i think they don't see the true value behind this title, but as a collector and a huge fan of the TH series i can tell you buy this game before you see it in a friend's house or in a rental and with a great desire check to buy it and see the terrible world "unavaliable", i think you can trust me on this. I almost pay 80 bucks for the collectors item "THPS3" just when the gentle people of activision put the game again on the streets for 17 bucks, you can check my review on THPS 3 for the whole story.

THPS2 is the best game for Ps2 in the world! i will rate it in 5 categories.

Graphics:9/10 The graphics are great! The levels have so much detail! Each level has its own qualities. (eg. at college you can grind on the tennis nets or handplant on the top of the dorms.) The only reason i gave it a nine is because when ever you wipe out so much blood splatters everywhere. For one thing that's gross, and IN REAL LIFE, LARGE QUANTITIES OF BLOOD DOESN'T SPLATTER EVERYWHERE AS SOON AS YOU WIPE OUT!!!!!!

Gameplay:10/10 THPS2 Couldn't be more fun! The gameplay is the biggest reason i can't stop playing! i can't stop pulling one of at least 6 different grinds on things such as logs, huge buildings, and tennis nets! But this game is so hard! You'll need to play for at least a week before you even beat College,
the first level!

Tricks:11/10! The tricks are probably the biggest part of the game, i mean name another sk8boarding game where you can do a wallride, then wollie(ollie while wallriding), crooked grind the top of the wall,then ollie off and while airborne pull a 540! Another huge trick is to skitch on the back of a car. It could be the easiest trick in the game because all you have to do is sk8 behind a car and you will automaticaly skitch!

Soundtrack: 7/10 A tiny fault that Activision made was the music. There are hardly any good songs on the whole soundtrack. But you won't mind, because the game is so hard and you will be so into it that you probably won't notice.

Modes:9/10 Career Mode is definetely the best! You skate around the level doing tricks (the same as free sk8). The only difference is that if you talk to a guy with a blue arrow over his head, he will give you a goal to complete. WARNING: These are HARD! On the college level if you get stuck on like 5, try talking to a guy right near the tennis courts (not the tennis player) who teaches you spine transfers. this could be the easiest goal in the game! If you like designing your own skate park, you must try Create-a-Skatepark!

Oh, man I just bought this game today and there is no words to describe this game! The levels are huge and insane. I just can't find the words to describe this game. If I could I would give this game a million stars. New Tricks are heck of cool. The goals are more challenging as well if you choose the right one. There is so much to unlock it is insane. I got one more thing to say to you people who are reading this go out and BUY this game!!

THPS 1 was awesome and brought something new to the table. THPS2 made one three times better. THPS3 was a huge turnaround for the series, for the worse in my opinion, with extremely unrealistic gameplay and levels. And now we have THPS4 which is better then 3, but it's still basically the same game with a new carreer mode and differen't levels. I mean seriously, this is the same game we played last year. The tricks are still the same, and the gameplay is still the same. Throwing in a new carreer mode and some new levels just isn't enough for me. The game feels more like an expansion pack to the dissapointing THPS3.

If you've somehow never played any of these games before, then go ahead and buy this one. If you have, then I suggest renting this first unless your a hardcore fan of part 3.

This is by far the best skateboarding game I have ever played. The trick list is huge and the combos that you can put together are limitless. The most important feature that this game has is a good range of challenges from easy to difficult. You must have good hand eye cordination and quick fingers to complete this game.

Well, Activison has done it yet again. This game is even more insredible than the first 3, and the levels are HUGE. In this game you have no time limits, and there are more levels. If you have a PS2, get this game now!!!

When I first got this game, Iknew it would be good, but i didn't know it would be the greatest yet. Neversoft has really done it this time. Totally re-working the game from its predecessors, Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 4 allows you to move about the levels on a carrer mode WITHOUT a time limit. You can talk to other Pro Skaters, giving you goals depending on your style of skating. Tony Hawk 4 is the greatest one yet, and Im anxious for a 5th.

Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 4 is the 4th title in this amazing series. The game features full comppatibilty with Sony's Network Adapter, allowing you to play online againist other skaters. The mission style is al together different that the previous games. This time around you explore the level and meet up with people that assign you goals, instead of the goals being preassigned. Overall it is an excellent game, except for one some-what serious flaw; why in the world are the graphics still the same as they were in in Tony Hawk 3? I just do not understand this. Other than that it is an excellent game that should keep you entertained for quite some time.

Even if you don't like Skating, you will dig this

Just a good all around game. I have never Skateboarded in my life but I ended up playing this while waiting for a friend and loved it. You can create and modify every inch of your player from tatoos to talent, you can climb walls, do a back flip, and land on a car on a skate board. I mean, what else do you want?In the top 3 fun titles for PS2 next to GTA Vice City (the greatest console game ever invented) and Grand Turismo 3.
