I was playing this game, and then all of the sudden out of nowhere, Tony Hawk and his gang sucked me into the TV!!!! It was a little scary at first, because I didn't know what happened.
However, luckily I had seen a movie where a mother and a father got sucked into their TV by an enormous satellite dish. So I knew exactly how to get out of this TV land. But first, of course I tried skating with Tony Hawk and his gang. After that I called my sister on my cell phone that I luckily bought with to TV land, and told her to go into the basement where I was playing and hit EXIT on the remote. She did this and I was bought back to real life.
FUN GAME!!!! BUT TV LAND CAN BE A BIT SCARY, BUT STILL FUN!!
Amazing! Buy it now! Or face the consequences!!!

If you have been pondering on if you should buy this game, you have probably already read many reviews. The game has the no-time-restriction aspect that made Tony Hawk 4 such a success.
The biggest change is the walking change where you can get off your board and walk around. This helps link tricks together much easier since there is no balance meter for walking. There is a timer. I have on many occasions reached over 4,000,000 points without cheats.
The car aspect, outside of Tony Hawk online, is sadly just a gimmick and only a couple missions involve driving. ...
Online, the action is even more interesting. I have an internet connection going through my Ps2 and I must say it is amazing online. The put-your-faace in the game gimmick is sadly just a ghimmick. Its unreliable at best. I put my face in and it looked like Mick Jagger, on drugs, looking at himself in a broken mirror. And it had huge eyes. I was mad so i put Michael Jacksons face in and it worked fine. Now i can do the Moonwalk 5-0 grind as Michael Jackson. Very Funny. Anyway, everyone is much better online and (sometimes using gameshark or glitches)many times get 20,000,000 points. Glitches are in every game, wether you like it or not. ... On THUG online, there are many glitches that are used to players disposal, whether its to hide inside a building that isnt supposed to be accessed, float 100 feet off the ground, go through walls, get unlimited manual, float in the ground, shoot up high into the air at high speeds into an invisible wall or make a head or stomach dissappear. These things are all in good fun and aren't generally disliked. 98% of the online community on THUG noes 1 glitch or another and they are fun to share with others. You are definatly missing a huge amount of fun online whether u glitch or not.

Tony Hawk's Underground (T.H.U.G.) is by far the best game. There are nine huge levels you can skate, or walk around in. Yes, there are the same old pros but you can make yourself the pro. Story mode is very easy... even on the difficulty sick (if you have played all of the Tony Hawk games). Overall Tony Hawk's Underground is a MUST GET!!!
I have actually PLAYED the game...imagine that

First of all I love all these reviews that I have been on this site for weeks--even though the game just became available on the 28th of October, 2003. How can you review a game that you have never played?
I guess Activision knew that the Hawk series was running its course, and decided to come up with a "storyline" to more involve the player in the various stages of the game. The only way to open up new levels (aside from the cheat codes) is to play through the "story" mode. When you take a step back, this new Hawk title is still about missions, some of which have nothing to do with performing tricks on your skateboard. On one mission I had to chase down this SUV full of gangsters to rescue my homeboy Eric. Sounds like Grand Theft Auto to me.
Anyway, the insane tricks are still here and the levels are huge. If you liked the other titles then you will probably like this one. Some of the "Story" is just silly though.
It's the Skating, Stupid

What a disappointment this game is. I loved the entire Pro Skater series for one simple reason: the skating. It was a blast to fly all over the place on your board. This game is still strong when you are allowed to skate, but the story mode forces you to achieve pointless tasks running, walking and driving vehicles. When you are on your board, THUG is as fun as any of the Pro Skater series; when you aren't, which is far too often, it's boring and frustrating.
Awesome Game, Too Short

This is one of the best games I have ever played!
The story mode is unbelievable, you go through many twists and turns (good and bad) on your way to becoming a pro skater. This is wicked fun and the replay value is excellent. The only gripe I have with the story mode is that it is too short. (especially if you know any cheats). Some of the nesscesary goals are almost impossible but normally you can do it after a while.
Eric Sparrow just ANNOYS ME! Normal mode is not too hard, beginner and too easy are, WAY 2 EASY!
The levels are huge and have unbelievable graphics. A ton of extra things you can do in each level just add to the fun. The graphics are just "WOW!' and there are SO many things to trick on.
Tricks are one of the biggest things in this game, you'll keep playing to try to improve your stats and beat your old combos. Allnew tricks (Lots of grind and lips) make the tricks better than in THPS, THPS2, 3, and 4.
Activision (2) keeps messing up with the soundtrack. The soundtrack is HORRIBLE! I've heard 2 songs out of the over 15 that they have.
Create-a-deck, skater, TRICK, and LEVEL just add to the fun. In create-a-level, you can even put goals in your level. 5 hours worth of play!
Here is a summary of the game:
Graphics: 9/10
Gameplay (skating): 10/10
Story Mode (how fun): 10/10
Story Mode (how challenging): 9/10 (too easy, c'ept on sick)
Tricks: 11/10
Soundtrack: 4/10
Extra Modes: 9/10
Replay Value: 100/10
Overall: 10/10
This is an awesome game and definetely worth the $$$$$$$$$!!!

The gameplay is HUGE! The storyline is great! And I can't believe you can get off your board and walk around and jump around. It is so fun I played the storyline five times in a row.
But the reviews you will read say that you can beat it in 4 to 8 hours. This is not true. I give this one 5 stars because it is the best game ever.
Bam Margera is hilarious and you'll have wicked fun playing this game. Totally worth spending money on.
An awesome skate adventure

In my opinion, THUG is on pretty good game. Here are some pros and cons to help you decide whether to get it. (I have this game for PS2, so some things might differ with other consoles.)
Pros:
- Create you own skater feature is better than ever.
- Levels are bigger
- Can get off you board and walk around.
- Four different skill levels
- Realistic blood (only a pro for some people)
- Cool music
- Create-a-deck feature is cool
Cons:
- Too short (9 levels, only 8 with objectives)
- Not good enough graphics (although they are better than some other games)
- Controls are kind of complicated
Well, I guess the pros outweigh the cons. That's why I think this game deserves 4 out of 5 stars.
Very Good Game

Things are deffinetly crazier in the next installment in the Tony Hawk series.
This game redifines the series by having "story" mode instead of "career" mode. In story mode you have to create your own character, which takes up much more of your time than you'd think, and name him\her. That he or she will be the person you have to progress through story mode with. Story mode, I think, is better than career mode because, if and when you get hooked onto this game, you'll want to keep playing to fufill your need for proggression. I mean, you'll want to find out what happens next. Some of the goals that you must complete are also a little bit far-fetched. Story mode was pretty easy on "normal" mode, but I wasn't worried because there was still "expert" mode I had to complete.
Getting off your board may be outstanding if you're a Tony Hawk finatic like me, but the truth is, it's a dull-witted thought. All you're really doing is walking around the level. Most of us walk every day so why should it be such a big deal. Walking in this game is better than walking as we'd know it, however. You can jump twice in the air, steal cars, do tricks, and hang on poles. If these things aren't a marvel to you than maybe you should look at a different skateboarding game.
"Stealing cars" is not really what it implies. You don't really steal cars that are moving, only those which are parked. With this in mind, there isn't much selection. Plus, where there are even few cars parked, is kind of like finding a needle in a haystack. They're pretty well hidden is what I'm saying. The car controls are acceptable for a skateboarding game, but nothing out of the ordinary.
The Create-a-Trick that they've added really makes an impression on the gaming experience. You get to create your own trick by adding moves that are already available, together, and adjusting the time the move takes to excecute, the length of the move, and the amount of moves you want. It's a great addition to the "create-a-" series that was introduced in Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 2.
The levels in this game are huge compared to the other games in the series, but I still think some of them could be bigger.
The tricks in this game, if you're a real skateboarder, migtht seem to impossible to enjoy, but if your a non-skateboarder than you'd probably enjoy it.
This game is a good choice if you're looking for, graphic quality, sound quality, choices, tricks, levels, a game as close to Grand Theft Auto as possible, or a skateboarding game for those that haven't learned how to actually skateboard.
