As far as multi-player games go this is pure gaming heaven. 4 players can fight it out in massive 3-D interactive environments while utilizing an arsenal of creative and crazy weaponry. I've been playing this game since 2003 and it hasn't gotten dull or boring for me yet. If you're into SMASH BRAWL and want to try a different type of multi-player arena fighter, DO YOURSELF A FAVOR AND PICK UP POWER STONE 2!

I am a not much of a gamer, but this game is my favorite. It is so much fun if you have other people to play with you. I wish they would make it for the new systems too! I definatly recommend it!

I played this game years ago and thought it was so cool, on a demo disc. I decided to waste $50.00 on this thinking it was obviously worth a lot of money for a reason. Was it? NO! The voices are extremely corny and the music is even more corny. But forget that, the game itself is corny.. You basically just throw barrells at other characters, what's so great about that?
this game ROCKS!!!

this game is awesome. it's the best fighting game i've ever played. it has a so many weapons you can make. health items, guns, poles, and even stuff you can ride on. it has one player and multiplayer. they have great characters. and of course, like the first, collect three power stones to transform into a more powerful form, where you have special attacks. some characters are strong but slow, some are fast but kinda weak, and some are balanced. the stages are also awesome. every stage moves, meaning, something happens to it and it requires you to move to a different arena. and you can pick up stuff, like vases, and throw them at your enemy. the stages are very interactive. the controls are awesome and easy to use. the camera views are awesome too. i definently recommend getting this game. a lot better than the first one. this one has the same characters as the first one and four new ones. it's an awesome game. highly recommended!

I would recommend that you GO GET a Dreamcast JUST for POWERSTONE 2!! This game recently destroyed a party with friends because of its simplicity and appeal. Er..I mean destroyed in a good way. If you have the friends or family (and yes unlike PS1, you can play this one with Mom or little Jimmy around) then GO GET IT. The multi player is beyond description!! The single player mode is kinda flat and leaves you feeling short changed but to make up for that to can play a mayhem match with the CPU controlling the other 3 characters or collect rare weapons while you try to fight in Adventure mode.
The basic rundown:
Pros
1) MULTI PLAYER ROCKS!!!
2) Even on a rainy day with no friends around you can still enjoy a mayhem match.
3) The graphics are awesome
4) The backrounds are even bigger and badder
5) The sheer amount of weapons to find or create by mixing existing weapons is awesome
6) Two players can team up to go through the game
7) Rogue is seriously toned down to family friendly standards (good move)
8) NO MORE ONE TRICK PONY VICTORIES, you gotta fight for a win here
9) Fighting engine was reworked to make the game MORE FUN and IT WORKED
10) Adventure mode adds replay value to the single player experience
11) New characters (especially Accel) are a welcome addition.
12) Japenese voices are left intact
So why not 5 stars with so many pros? Read on
Cons
1) No character personality or good story or character endings.
2) Small number of stages (less than PS1) and stages do not reflect any character in particular.
3) Single player mode LIMITED except for Adventure Mode
4) The final boss is a waste of game memory and resources. The final boss is pathetic and demonically ugly!! The other short-comings could be over looked but this freak is sickening. My spirit is disturbed every time I see him. We could have seen a better final boss one with style and a rad multi level backround. This brought down the score more than anything else!
5) No Powerstone 3 for Dreamcast
Overall
GET THIS GAME AND A SECOND HAND DREAMCAST IT IS WORTH IT!! Buy a Dreamcast at Amazon now... games this fun that are not sports titles aren't made anymore.

Let me start off by saying this is a great game. I mean really. You can't find these kinds of games anywhere. In fact, PS2 and Xbox have almost none of these kinds of games, though Gamecube has similar Super Smash Bros. Melee.
The game is mayhem. There can be up to 4 players, and you take weapons like swords, axes, guns, poles, etc. and smash the other players with them. You can also pick up boxes, stones, coffins, and even shoot missles out of tanks! With probably the most interactive environment in any game, you can use anything.
The highlight of this game, of course, is multiplayer. Invite 3 friends over, and you've got hours of fun. It's violent, but not dark, bloody, gory violence. The courses are very well done, as you have to swim, jump, run, to avoid certain death. There really is nothing else to say about multiplayer except this is the main reason to buy this game.
The one-player modes are very similar. Jump into adventure mode and collect items. Adventure, 1-on-1, or arcade and have one on one battles and fight a couple bosses as you navigate through a castle. Not too hard, but the last boss can get really challenging, depending on the difficulty level. As long as you have 4 characters, computer or not, you WILL have fun.
The graphics are regular Dreamcast. I haven't expirenced any choppiness, and the framerate is find. But, as usual, the sound isn't that great. Even in fantastic games like Soul Calibur, the sound is awful. It sounds like someone on a microphone with terrible reverb or an awful amp (or both).
All in all, this is a great game. The multiplayer is worth it alone, even with the mediocre 1-player modes. Though very expensive for Dreamcast games, I guarantee hours of fun.
i don't even own this game!

OH Wow another fighting game...not! This is the fastest paced, funnest, fighting game i have ever played. If you played the first one and felt it was good but lacked something the makers found it too and filled it in when they made the sequel.up to 4 players for top action.I also think one of the coolest features on this game is that you can set up teams for you and the computer! One time i was a pilot fighter on my own team(falcon for those that know the names) fighting three really strong and buff guys on their own team(gunrocks). I won once out of the 20 times i tried.they were all running around only after me. teams is an awesome move by the makers of this game.another cool thing is being able to jump off of stuff like walls and poles to make high powerful slams on to your opponent. it can get really fun when there is a pole just a few feet from the wall-you get jump so high off of them.PLus being able to throw just about anything that isn't attatched to the scene is good.while were on the subject of the scenes it is awesome that they change over the 5 to 10 minute fights. It is cool that the arenas are places with mass destruction areas like on water warcraft(artillary submarines)so you can use the machine guns and helicopters and bombs.plus the submarines eventually crash on to an iceburg where there are ice blocks all around to throw at opponents.there are several other arenas however- don't get me wrong.that wasn't the only one.up in the manufacturer's review or whatever it states 1 player isn't nearly as fun as multiplayer. Well i think that is wrong. while i can see where it is coming from i think it just offers a different version of the game. plus it isn't cool that you don't have to go through all the levels to get to the boss. that, however, could have been just the makers trying to let you set the game up for your preferance.this game is the best in the world.
-about the title "i don't even own this game" it goes back to the summer of 2002. my friend came over for a week over the summer and we rented this game.A great choice-in fact we rented the ame because the first one was so good.i had 21 games and none were as good as power stone 2. I sold it all after that summer but missed power stone 2's action that i always wanted to buy.I then longed for a power stone 2 game.but now i am going to buy just a dreamcast, two controllers,a memory card, and the powerstone two game because i miss it so much and just for old times sake.those were the good days. this is the game probably that i remember the most about even though i only rented it from blockbuster for 5 days.that is how much i like that game.

Capcom does an excellent job in making their 3D fighting games a success as their 2D fighting games. This game is filled with mad action and some humorous animations (Especially if you do the stomp/bellyflop move on an opponent). There are many unlockables that need to be accessed for months of gameplay. I would recommend this game to anyone who likes to play Capcom or Squaresoft games!

I've played a lot of fighting games....[Let] me tell ya, it was SWEET!...The characters are easy to manuever, there are more that 120 items master. If you go to the item shop, you can play roulette, and mix items to make new items. But with some items, you need a text. Then there are the cards, like horror card, (which is totally pointless to have). Anywho, there are about....... roughly 14-16 characters. In the beggining of the game, there are two hidden characters you can unlock. To unlock them, you gotta beat the game with all the other characters, then beat it again with one of the new characters to get the other. Confusing? Not really once you actually play it. To fuse, collect three powerstones. But watch out, the other characters will be able to knock em' out of ya. The levels are awesome. There are two bosses, Pharoah Walker and Dr.Erode. If you set the difficulty to it's max, you won't be disappointed. When fighting Pharoah Walker, try to get up onto his back. Destroy the little guy in his tail. You'll be able to tell when you've destroyed in when he goes"EEYYYYAAHH!!!!" I ain't sayin' anymore. You'll have to play the game yurself. Even though I think I said a little too much. Hmm.....................nah Hope this review helps:)
OH MY GOD! (this is so much fun)

If you have never found a good game to play here is what to do:
1)play Power stone 2 / 2)play Power Stone 2
3)repeat steps one and two.
I gave this game 7 out of 5 stars because it is crazy and enjoyable, plus there really are no cons to it. If you get a dreamcast, this is the first game you should get.
