This game is pure fun. I bought my Dreamcast a couple of weeks ago, and this was the very first game I played which gave me a great impression of what the Dreamcast can do. If you played the original Power Stone, you should know what the basic idea is. If you didn't play the original, well, you really haven't played an intense, chaotic game. Power Stone 2 is a pure free for all fighting action. You can pick up anything, use anything, do whatever you want, plus, the first to get 3 powerstones morphs into a special figure with incredible attacks, only for a short period of time though. So here you are, trying to KO your oppenent but yet trying to get 3 powerstones to change. What makes this so different from PowerStone? Nearly everything. Now up to 4 players can compete in a massive arena, with obstacles to overcome. What kind of obstacles? How about taking a machine gun and blasting your oppenet of a flying aircraft? Or how about jumping in a helicopter and dropping bombs on your oppenents who are on sumbmarines that just crashed into an iceberg? Or even hopping on a skateboard to out run a giant rock rolling towards to smash you into smithereins? Or how about just takin a meatl pipe or a basball bat and just whackin your oppenets with it now till next never? Yes, it's all here. I was a big Smash brothers fan, till now. This game is just everlasting fun.

If you liked Power Stone (or your kids did) this is a game you will want to add to your library. You'll like the new, sometimes bizarre weapons which add a slightly demented but fun quality to the experience. It's bazile. Get it.

Dude....I think I'm stoned again !

Okay, I never really liked the first Power Stone. The only thing I liked about it was the gameplay and the graphics but the only thing I hated about it was the short enviroments. When Power Stone 2 came out, I've heard how it had a long replay value so I said to myself, "Hey ! Let's get this sucker !". When I popped it into my Dreamcast, I was thoroughly amazed by not only the graphics and gameplay, but its huge enviroments. These levels are so freakin' huge, it has already beaten the interactive enviroments of Super Smash Bros. ! You get to ride on tanks, shoot a gatling gun, run from a huge boulder, use a submarine's missile launchers (my favorite part), and fight two different. Bosses as huge as a giant mech. Sad thing is, there's only a short variety of levels and only three new characters (two more characters and a few levels to unlock...too bad you can't play as the two bosses). If you're looking for a multiplayer game, I pick this one up if I were you !

Explosive Four Player Fun

As a gamer who despises the split screen form of multiplayer gaming, Power Stone 2 was a great alternative. After being addicted to the first Power Stone for a long time, the next seemed like a sure thing.

The fighting in this game is incredibly simple. There are a group of 4 types of moves which are all the same for each character, including punching, kicking, picking up and throwing. In addition, each character has a super move than can be done after collecting three power stones, which is unique for each character. Although this gameplay is incredibly simple, it is really addictive when playing with friends. All this was included in the first installment.

This second installment adds a whole new level to the gameplay : four player matches. Each player attacks all the others, or you can work in teams cooperatively or against the CPU. This ads a whole new flavor, especialy when you and 3 friends take to the fight.

The arenas are huge and fully interactive with tons of things to throw and weapons to pick up and use. New weapons can also be created by combining different ones you have picked up during gameplay. Poles are everywhere that you can swing around and do more damage to your enemy, as well as a few vehicles of mass destruction. Often, levels change as you fight, such as an aircraft carrier that explodes and the fighing is continued as you plummet to the ground and then mayhem ensues as the battle is taken to land. Another level features two submarines you fight on top of as they each submerge and return to the surface, until thay reach land and the battle continues on an iceberg.

This game is a great addictive fighting game with simple controls any newbie can pick up easily and have a lot of fun with.

Power Stone 2 is one the best games I have ever played. The graphics are great, control is the best it can be and there isn't a game out there that is more fun than this one when you have four people playing at once. Even if you don't like fighting games I still recommend this game to any type of gamer. If i could give this game more than 5 stars I would. You'll get more than your moneys worth.

i don't even own this game!

OH Wow another fighting game...not! This is the fastest paced, funnest, fighting game i have ever played. If you played the first one and felt it was good but lacked something the makers found it too and filled it in when they made the sequel.up to 4 players for top action.I also think one of the coolest features on this game is that you can set up teams for you and the computer! One time i was a pilot fighter on my own team(falcon for those that know the names) fighting three really strong and buff guys on their own team(gunrocks). I won once out of the 20 times i tried.they were all running around only after me. teams is an awesome move by the makers of this game.another cool thing is being able to jump off of stuff like walls and poles to make high powerful slams on to your opponent. it can get really fun when there is a pole just a few feet from the wall-you get jump so high off of them.PLus being able to throw just about anything that isn't attatched to the scene is good.while were on the subject of the scenes it is awesome that they change over the 5 to 10 minute fights. It is cool that the arenas are places with mass destruction areas like on water warcraft(artillary submarines)so you can use the machine guns and helicopters and bombs.plus the submarines eventually crash on to an iceburg where there are ice blocks all around to throw at opponents.there are several other arenas however- don't get me wrong.that wasn't the only one.up in the manufacturer's review or whatever it states 1 player isn't nearly as fun as multiplayer. Well i think that is wrong. while i can see where it is coming from i think it just offers a different version of the game. plus it isn't cool that you don't have to go through all the levels to get to the boss. that, however, could have been just the makers trying to let you set the game up for your preferance.this game is the best in the world.
-about the title "i don't even own this game" it goes back to the summer of 2002. my friend came over for a week over the summer and we rented this game.A great choice-in fact we rented the ame because the first one was so good.i had 21 games and none were as good as power stone 2. I sold it all after that summer but missed power stone 2's action that i always wanted to buy.I then longed for a power stone 2 game.but now i am going to buy just a dreamcast, two controllers,a memory card, and the powerstone two game because i miss it so much and just for old times sake.those were the good days. this is the game probably that i remember the most about even though i only rented it from blockbuster for 5 days.that is how much i like that game.

The Best 4-PLayer game on DREAMCAST

Let me start off by saying this is a great game. I mean really. You can't find these kinds of games anywhere. In fact, PS2 and Xbox have almost none of these kinds of games, though Gamecube has similar Super Smash Bros. Melee.

The game is mayhem. There can be up to 4 players, and you take weapons like swords, axes, guns, poles, etc. and smash the other players with them. You can also pick up boxes, stones, coffins, and even shoot missles out of tanks! With probably the most interactive environment in any game, you can use anything.

The highlight of this game, of course, is multiplayer. Invite 3 friends over, and you've got hours of fun. It's violent, but not dark, bloody, gory violence. The courses are very well done, as you have to swim, jump, run, to avoid certain death. There really is nothing else to say about multiplayer except this is the main reason to buy this game.

The one-player modes are very similar. Jump into adventure mode and collect items. Adventure, 1-on-1, or arcade and have one on one battles and fight a couple bosses as you navigate through a castle. Not too hard, but the last boss can get really challenging, depending on the difficulty level. As long as you have 4 characters, computer or not, you WILL have fun.

The graphics are regular Dreamcast. I haven't expirenced any choppiness, and the framerate is find. But, as usual, the sound isn't that great. Even in fantastic games like Soul Calibur, the sound is awful. It sounds like someone on a microphone with terrible reverb or an awful amp (or both).

All in all, this is a great game. The multiplayer is worth it alone, even with the mediocre 1-player modes. Though very expensive for Dreamcast games, I guarantee hours of fun.

Awsome!

Power Stone2 is much better than the first. The four player option is what makes this game. Before when i played with my friends we used to argue over who was playing first but now we dont have to. There are some new characters along with some of the old favourites along with some cool weapons. The game play on this game is much longer due to the multiplayer option so i would recommend buying this game and inviting your mates around

Power Stone 2 is pretty awesome! The graphics look just like the arcade! It's like Super Smash Brothers in 3D. The only thing I hate is it's lack of figting system depth. However you won't have time to notice when your playing with 3 other people!
