Great muliplayer game play

I enjoy many of these FPS games like Urban Terror, Medal of Honor and the ranks and this one rocks. The multiplayer game play is outstanding, I can't speak to the single player game play as I haven't even tried it, can't get off-line.

SOF 2 is awsome. The death animations are always fun to watch and the new GHOUL 2 technology which adds 16 dismemberment zones and 36 damage zones, it makes for some cool sniping.
When I first played this game last week, I had my doubts. SOF 2 didn't look as good as the original SOF. But as I played on, the story got better and better and this allowed me to get by a few bugs. The big bug that the game itself has is when an enemy dies, his body will "float" above the floor. It kinda [stinks] when you shoot him in the face, blood comes spewing out and his body falls stopping a foot off the ground. It kind of takes the realism out of the game.
A really cool aspect of the game is the random mission generator, type in the mission type (escape, assasination,infilteration or demolition), Location (desert,jungle,snow,plains,hills), Time of Day, difficulty, time limit (on/off) and then hit "generate new seed" and away you go, off to your weapon selections screen. You can pick some kick [rear] weapons/grenades.
Theres nothing better than throwing a incinerating grenade into a room full of enemies and walking in a second after it goes off seeing 5 guys rolling around screaming in pain.
For those of you who liked SOF and love to kill stuff after a long day at work Soldier of Fortune 2 is the game to buy.

PC Gamer at 70% is just right.

Unfinished and buggy, I played through twice, never again. This half finished mess is an insult. I would not pay $[money] for this mess, Serious Sam 2 is so much better in every way. I spent about 10 hours just getting it to run on my uber-comp. Shame on Raven for letting the B team release beta code on to the unsuspecting public under the smokescreen of E3. PC Gamer magazine rated SOF2 at 70% in the July 2002 issue and this is just what Raven deserves for unfinished buggy code.

I AM AN EXPERT GAMER. I AM GOOD IN ALL GAMES. BUT HOLY [POO], I PLAYED THIS GAME ON EASY AND I AM RIGHT NOW STUCK ON THE 2ND LEVEL. THIS GAME IS RIDICULOUSLY HARD. THE ONLY REASON I GAVE IT A 3 WAS BECAUSE OF ITS GREAT MULTIPLAYER. THE MULTI PLAYER KICKS [booty]. BUT THE SINGLE PLAYER IS SO DAMN HARD. I WOULD SAY BYE THIS IF YOU LIKE TO PLAY INTERNET MATCHES. IF NOT, THEN GO AHEAD AND BUY IT FOR THE SINGLE PLAYER. DONT SAY I DIDNT WARN YOU. IT IS VERY VERY HARD!!!

From what Ive seen of SoF 2, in the multiplayer test, and what ive read on the internet, i believe this will be an incredible game. The game play in the multiplayer test is amazing, all the weapons look incredibly realistic and also the damage those weapons do. I admit, that the graphics arent as complex as i thought they would be, but as it says in the read me "This is not a representation of the final version of the game." To me, this says, that the final version will be much better than the test. With all the amazing technology being used in the game, and the optimum system requirements (1.5Ghz, 256mb RAM, and a high end processor) the graphics will be amazing, and with 70 levels of gameplay and the random scenario generator, it will be amazing!

This game owns.

... Anywho, this game is wonderful, i found the gameplay to be quite entertaining and unlike other FPS like CounterStrike, there are multiple game-modes, infiltration, deathmatch, etc. so when boredom comes with one, just play another. Also, the modeling and graphics were pretty good and very realistic, along with cool mapping. Overall, this is at the top of my 'must-buy' list for this summer and i recommend it to all FPS fans.

I am very picky with my FPS games. I bought this game yesterday and it ROCKS!!! Anyone that hates this game is not a true first person shotter. The graphics are great and if I could give it 10 stars I would. GO GET A COPY NOW!!!!!!!!!!!!

Dude, the SOF Multiplayer TEST you have is exactly that, a test. How about waiting for the full version before writing a review? YOu have no clue about the main features of this title. Random Mission Generator for replay value, and trust me, the gore will be amazing. There is a video floating around of just how gory it can be. ... Just wait and see...
