Great Game

Graphics-
I've seen about 200 photos from the game and they seam quiet impresive, although the PC shots are better than the PS2 they still are 5 star graphics. The game play is actually quiet entertaining. These are the 6 different gameplay modes
Top Cop (In which you play as the cop and go through over 30 different events, PC, Xbox, and Gamecube only)
Championship (In this mode you go through events and tournements and buy, sell, and unlock easter eggs.)
Quick Race (In this mode the computer/console selects a random car and track and then you start)
Single Challenge (This mode is the exact opposite of quick race, you select your car and track and then the race starts.
Hot Pursuit (Ah yes good ol' Hot Pursuit in this mode mode you can selecteither a pursuit car or the typical sports car.

There are also HP versions of most cars which adds horspower and torque, etc.
Replay value is also added due to the amount of events and parts.

Thus this game is simply put AWESOME!

Need for Speed Hot Pursuit has been criticized for lack of realistic physics, lack of good gameplay, and bad replay. After playing the game over the weekend heres my take on the game:

*Game Play* With the option of being a cop (you can call for backup, a roadblock, spike strip, and a helicopter) and running away from the cops as well as the regular racing mode this game offers non stop fun. 5/5.

*Graphics, Sound Effects* The graphics are nice but the graphics are not much better than need for speed prosche unleashed, same thing for the sound effects. 4/5.

*Music* The music choice was great offering a good selection of songs. 5/5.

*Cars* Need for Speed Hot Pursuit 2 not only has a nice selection of exotic and regular cars but also has over 24. 5/5.

*Tracks* There are a lot of tracks in NFS Hot Pursuit 2 which all have a good number of shortcuts and alternative routes but are also nicely detailed. This being said the tracks lack creativity. There are about 13 tracks but it seems like theres only 4. The tracks can be grouped in 4 catogories, Island, Mediterranean, Foreset, and Alpine. The tracks in these catogories look like copies of these 4 tracks. 3/5.

I will add one point for the great install feature (it takes virtually no time to install becuase of the new tecnology EA is working with).

This is a wonderful game, I love it! But I do wish that EA made it more like the Porsche unleased game, graphics and music, the only thing I do not like is that rock music grunge style, it would have been great to either play your own music or at least have a selection, maybe Rap, or Rock and Rock, classical music.

I'll agree with the fact that NFS VI did go a little over with the Helicopters and barrels, but PORSCHE was different because it was only porsche, and because of that the simulation was different (controls are different too). I've been playing NFS III for such a long time, I cant even estimate how long i've played it. Anyways, NFSIII was the first series with HP, and now HP2 is here! So im going out to buy it. And those who say the graphics [are bad]... get a better PC!! cus the graphics are 20x better than PS2!

This game's graphics are amazing! There are so many cool cars to choose from like the Mclaren F1 LM and the Lamborghini Murcielago. The handling of the cars are amazing and the tracks are really fun to drive on! This is a great game that you should DEFFINETLY get.In conclusion, YOU'VE GOT TO GET THIS GAME!!!!

Need for Speed: Hot Pursuit 2 is an awsome racer! In this game, you must, as always, race to the finish line. But there is a twist. There are cops chasing you, and they are capable of pulling you over and arresting you. But if you don't pull over, they will DESTROY YOU.
This game has 4 options of play. Championship, a true racing expierience. Hot Pursuit, which is like championship, except with cops I mentioned earlier. Single Challenge is next. It consists of modes such as Single race, Be the cop, Knockout, Tournament, and Practice. Then there's Quick Race, where the game randomly chooses a car and track for you and soon enough, you are in the race. Great if you are in a hurry and must play one last race.
Oh, and did I mention the cars? THEY ARE AWSOME. You have Corvettes, BMW's, Fords, Dodge Vipers, Mercedes', Lamborginis, Ferraris, McLarens, and many many many more. THEY Are ALL
HERE!
Also: THE GAME IS HUGE! In Hot Pursuit and Championship, there are many races, tournaments, and events to complete. This gives you months of play.
Now for some details on Hot Pursuit Mode. In H.S. mode, as I said, cops chase you. In this mode, when you lose the cops, you get points. But soon, the cops get harder, but harder cops means more points. The cops are on a scare of 1 to 5 stars, 5 being hardest. The cops will also call in roadblocks, spike strips, more cops and...HELECOPTERS! Helecopters drop explosives which send you FLYING. There is also traffic, so in order to lose the cops, I just ram them into a bus or something...Anyway, H.S. mode is a great expierience. It is intense, thrilling, and very very fun!
The soundtrack in this game is awsome. The songs consist of a mixture between rock and rap.
The opening cinematic is awsome! It looks realistic, is action-packed, and has a good song going to it. It makes you jump up and say YEAH!

Pros:

1. Good Graphics (but not exceptional)
2. Good Sound (vroom, vroom!)
3. Great Music and Soundtract
4. Lots of stuff to do
5. Very VERY Smart AI (and I mean smart!)
6. Humorous Cop Lines ("This guy blew my doors off!")
7. Hot Pursuit is INTENSE
8. A whole lot of fast cars
9. Cool Tracks

Cons:

1. The lap announcer's voice sounds a little goofy
2. No weather levels (rain, snow, etc.)
3. Physics are o-k, not great (but it doesn't make a difference)

Overall, an awsome game. Whoever likes racing games, or, actually, whoever likes to HAVE FUN buy this game. Highly recommended. A Must-buy.

My 14-old brother loves this game.
You win point and get new tracks and cars. You can be a police.
The graphics are great and you require a middle video card (ATI 7500 in my case).
If you want a funny time (and cheap) buy it

Finally, a new addition to the "Need For Speed" racing series for the PC. This new addition was greatly anticipated so as to sustain the image of Electronic Arts after their release of "Need For Speed:Porsche Unleashed", which really didnt awe-inspire Need For Speed fans worldwide. Its pretty much based on the same gamplay as Need For Speed Hot Pursuit, but its way better. Better cars, better tracks, and better AI.

From the screen-shot previews Ive seen, this game is amazing. Weather affects such as rain, snow and dust really test your driving skills. The driving modes are similar to the modes found in the prior versions of NFS: Arcade, Simulation and Hot Pursuit.

If youd decide to play as the police, you can call for air-support, an option unavailable in the previous version of Hot Pursuit.

If youre looking for the ultimate car simulation/arcade for your PC, look no further. This is it!

So easy to install, I though it was loading the program to unistall when it was actually installing that is how fast it is.

Great graphics, sound, and music

Plenty of cars
Tracks are limited but still fun with alternate routes and shortcuts.

Tons of challenges in championship/hot pursuit

Easy to change controls on key board or game controller

Great overall game
