Rent it, rent it, rent it!

I feel so guilty about this game. My brother got it on a demo disk and I talked ihm into buying the full game. Now I wish I hadn't. Why? It was a waste of money because it's just SO DAMN SHORT.
All the levels are pretty easy except the last one in which it is frustratingly hard to synchronise your rapping when you have to lead the chant. This technique should have been introduced in earlier levels - and speaking of which, there should be way more levels! I'm amazed Sony actually put this game out and didn't think it would be too short. New characters to access? Nope. New levels to unlock? Nuh-uh. Anything new which you can do on this game after two days of playing at the most? Don't even think about it.
It's a real pity, because what there is of this game is actually pretty good. The graphics are cute, the style is funny, the songs are enjoyable and the idea is a clever one. (The storyline is just weird, but that may'nt be a bad thing...depends on your personal preference.) The voice-overs need work though. They're kind of weird and often irrelevant.
If Sony had made about...ooh, twice as much as they have, I'd have given this game five stars. But they didn't. Rent the game by all means - but don't buy it. It's fun for a time, but overall a waste of money.

This game is awesome! I put it in my PS2, expecting it to be a snore-fest, but once you start playing, you can't stop! The only "problem" it that the songs get stuck in your head.

Now if it's a real review you want, then read ON!

Gettin straight to the point(THE VERDICT):

UPPERS:
-funny script and story.
-Very Well animated!
-Quality rapping!
-Nice two-player game.

DOWNERS:(trust me, this game isn't reall down, I'm just picking hairs here!)
-Dull bonus and training bits.
-Still a very short game.
-Jokes soon wear thin
-The food makes you hungry(see what I mean!)

Overall Results:
Graphics = Nice, but you're always staring at symbols:7/10
Sound = Good tunes, enjoyable lyrics and ace rapping!:9/10
Lifespan = Short, easy, but saved by two-player action: 7/10

Overall Score and thoughts:
Better than most rhythm-action games thanks to its jam-along two-player mode. The only downfalls are the shortness and the rather vague jokes. IF YOU LIKE THIS THEN U'LL LOVE SPACE CHANNEL 5(GIVE IT A SHOT!)
SO OVERALL I GIVE IT 8/10!

Parappa the rapper 2 is fun. it is really easy to finish. i beat the game in 1hour and15 minutes. it is short. i think you should ren t this game.

the story is about parrappa iwins a lot of noodles and he gets tired of eating them . and the n some bad guys try to make the whole city eat noodles.
there are 8 levels in the game.
they are: a restaraunt ,at parrapa's house , at parrappa's house when they get shrunk, the barber shop, a training place,at a concert , and at a place where you battle the noodle bad guy,and a video game

An Okay Game, But Not Worth Your Cash

Well, I would have expect more from PaRappa the Rapper 2 after beating and enjoying the UmJammer Lammy and PaRappa the Rapper games on PS1. Okay, let's start with the cons: The graphics are similar to the first one. It's not too bad becuz I think that 2D characters are kinda cute, but it should have been updated a lil' more. It was kinda short, there's 8 songs. I beated the game in less than 4-5 hours. The songs are enjoyable, but not as enjoyable as the first one. Most of the songs are based on the "retro 70's smooth groove", not as upbeat as the first one. There's no special features like the first one, but there's like a head-to-head freestyle competition w/ a friend or the computer. The storyline is senseless, but kinda funny. The bonus level makes no sense whatsoever and is quite boring. Here are the pros: Well, it's cute in a cartoonish way and basically the voices from the first one are back, so that's not really changed. You can compete w/ a friend or the computer on freestyling skills. Some of the songs are humurous and cute. It doesn't take as long to load and it's more entertaining when it loads.
Basically I made of mistake of wasting my money. So, I suggest u should rent it. The first and the UmJammer Lammy game were better and fun to jam to, believe me. It was an okay game, but not worth your cash.

Quirky...in a fun sort of way

I must say, I have played only up to the fifth level thus far and I find that this game is hilarious. Not because it is humorouson purpose, but because the graphics are all flat, there are some really wierd stuff, and everything's turning into noodles.

There are, as i should warn, some gay seens between Parrappa and the Teddy Bear(furgot the name) during a tv lesson in "Romantic Karate", and a jump rope machine (Level Four) that spins the ropes from it's er...excuse the harsh language, boobs.

Other than that...I give it a B-:

Pros: Strangely Hilarious
Cons: Really stupid and not meant for ages 11 and up.
Suggestions: Rent it.

Not as good as Um Jammer Lammy, but still cool

Parappa loses it's appeal

I am a huge fan of the original. The songs were great, the gameplay smooth and challanging, and while it was short, I would always find myself coming back for more. Parappa 2 however, shares none of these qualities. It boasts no new songs worth praise, and horrible gameplay. I beat it without losing once in less than an hour. Another long awaited sequel that should have never been made. Very sad.

Brilliant Game

First off - the negative reviews are just people who think theyre too mature to play something that has a nonsense title and plot. Its a great game in the series, and if they changed the graphics, than the series would be like everything else - the graphics in parappa games are unique and this game is no different....its so good

A dog in a rapper outfit that dances.....not the best. ~_ ~

PaRappaTheRappa 2 is not only a tremendously long title, but a pice of trash. It's about this midget dancing dog.He gets a life time supplies of noodles.(um....)And that's all he thinks about.
there's 3 words to describe this game:

NOODLES-DANCING-LAME
Whatever you don't buy this game!!!
Unless you like midget dogs in a rapper outfit that dances.
sincerly,
kenny
