Me not being a huge gamer, this is the kinda' game I enjoy. So far it is a difficult game, and I have it on easy. You have to have a strategy to complete stages. The game allows you to send your squad out and help clear an area, not like other games which you have no control of your team members, which just stand there and take fire. I think the game should allow for more weapons to be carried, that's my opinion. Worth the $.

This game has intensity.
It grabs you from the moment you start playing and immerses you into a world where urban terror reigns - a frightfully realistic scenario.

The gameplay in this game is unmatched by any game that I have played, allowing the player to become totally involved with the action and commanding his fellow recruits.

The graphics are exceptionally well designed, the music and voice tones are chillingly appropriate and the depiction of the environment is superb.

Well done IO, I can't wait for Hitman 3.

Hope they make a sequel

I'll start by saying I hope they make a sequel to this game!
This game was fast paced and it's one game that I sat playing until I finished. The bad news is it's too short, but that's not exactly terrible news because the game is awesome.
You play a single character, but you bring more fighters with you as you go on. There are various weapons although short of using cheat codes the ammo is pretty scarce so you need to watch what you are doing.
Really I wasn't sure I'd like this game there are very few games that I like with this time of storyline/gameplay. I WAS SOOOO WRONG! This game was great. I had so much fun playing it and love going back to playing it still.
Now I hope they make a second that is equally fun but longer in length!

Clunky interface, but interesting story

Interesting story, unique approach, but ultimately frustrating fight interface mars this game. As someone who loves GTA, Godfather and Mercenaries, I had high hopes for this game. But it is more oriented to turn-based strategy, as you have to order your minions into fights and spend more time commanding than running and gunning. And speaking of gunning, having to press the analog stick down to aim is klunky and slows down the action. I was excited to get this game, but the excitement wore off and became frustrated neglect after a couple of hours.

Okay I never played the game but am glad to say A SECOND FREEDOM FIGHTER IS GOING TO BE RELEASED LATE 2005 OR EARLY 2006.I dont know anything else but look at it at:

Short but sweet

I think this game is a very cool game. The only problem I have with it is I beat it in three days on normal mode. I played about 3 hours each day. In this game you are a guy named Chris you get to controal up to 12 people( allthough it is hard because the game is too short). Some of the weapons you get are the AK-47 also the shotgun(the best level starter of the bunch)
Sniper rifle, Sub machine gun. The controals are great. Same with the FMV sequences. If you like shooting games you will definitly like this one.

This game was a little fun to play but I found it too easy. I played it on the third level of difficulty and I finished it in three days. There is no strategy to the game, all it is, is run, shoot and then run and shoot some more. The few levels in the game are all the same and way too short. The story line is very bad and, like the levels, way too fast. I get the feeling the makers of this game just rushed through it and didn't give it any time to make it good.

The strategy in this game is pathetic. All you do is run and shoot! There is hardly any talking during the levels and they are all the same from destroying helipads and rasing flags! Why don't you just play one level over and over again instead of each level once, there is little difference.

Like the strategy in the game, the story line was pathetic. A zero to hero in a matter of days type of thing. I mean, what kind of plumber would become a so called 'Freedom Phantom,' the big leader boss in the resistance in a matter of days?

This is a very poorly made game. I highly don't recommend buying it nonetheless renting it.

Much needed game to revive PS2 fun factor

This game simply kicks ass. The story is very deep and captivating leaving much drive to play. Unlike some other games, it wasn't hard to learn and the story unfolds quickly to get you right into the action. The enemies are also harder to kill which I think is a plus. Instead of just breezing right through the levels you actually have to work to beat them. Every part of this game rocks. I definitely hope there is a sequel to this awesome game.
