This is a great thing Square has done. It is impossible to find Chrono Trigger anywhere. And Final Fantasy IV (FF2) was and still is one of my personal favorites outta the FF series (Along side Final Fantasy, Final Fantasy VI, and Final Fantasy IX) They have redone almost 85% of the script for FF IV which makes those that have played it before (Like me) Experience the real deepness of the story. The only draw back to this collection is the small loading times in Chrono Trigger. Besides that, this collection is well worth it!! LONG LIVE THE FINAL FANTASY SERIES!!

Great games with a lot of changes

Two of my favorite games final arrive on the more advance system. Alright, Let's talk about games. Boy! what changes they've made for FF4. The dialogs contain a lot of slangs and some curse words; I guess they tried to make it fit todays way of life. Also, items were renamed to match the common names of the current FF Series. For example, Cecil's Armorment used to call Black, now they called them Demons. Nonetheless, This game still rock. As for Chrono Trigger, what can I say, it's nothin' but the best and keeps on ticking.

I am a RPG-er mania. I think all FF(Final Fantasy)game are great. The worst is FF8, but FFChronicles is the best FF, I ever played. Why? Because it's not only have FFIV, it's also have Chrono Trigger. The prequel of Chrono Cross.

As you must already know, this is a re-release of two great games, Chrono Trigger and FFIV. Both are superb and were some of the SNES's best games. When I got my SNES, my first video game system, at the same time the PSone was released (1995) and, despite owning some very nice games- DK Country 1-3, Kirby Games, Mario All-Stars, Mario RPG. I missed out on some great games like these. I soon realized great games that I had missed and wanted to get them back- Zelda, Metroid, FFII-II (or FFIV and FFVI), Mario Kart and so on. I hunted down Zelda (without much difficulty) and am currently searching for Super Metroid. But where were the great Final Fantasies? I found FF Anthology recently at my local Babbages... and bought it to play on my PS2, and there was much rejoicing. Then I saw FF Chronicles. I knew that FFIV would be good and I quickly learned about Chrono Trigger. Both games started trends in RPGs like Multiple Endings, Path Choosing, and Chocobo Riding. I got the game recently and I love both of the classics, and there was more rejoicing. Chrono Trigger looks and plays great, I feel that the game is one of the best ever. I also enjoy the anime scenes as well, I think that the choice to make animated cut-scenes was a better desicion that CGI cut-scenes were, mainly because the scenes are by Dragonball's Akira Toryiama and look great despite some slight choppiness at parts. FFIV is also great and I am hard-pressed when I look at the box which game to play. There are some loading problems, mainly when entering battle and switching to the sub-screen, but since the cartriges cost so much I think that if you look over the old graphics (they were pretty damn good in their day!) and try to ignore the load times, this game is worth it all the way.

About time!

Its about time final fantasy 4 came out for playstation. I love that game. .... But, its coming out with CG movies, and thats awsome! I dont need to rent it, its a sure buy. Anyways, FF4 was the key final fantasy game that got them popular. It was the reason I started to like the Final Fantasy series.

The only thing I could think of that could be wrong with these games is the grafics are super nintendo grafics. It doesnt bother me, i liek the old school graphics, but, it seems to scare off many gamers. Overall this game is fantastic, 2 classic RPGs that started it all.

Final Fantasy IV and Chrono Trigger are the two games I want to keep forever. I played them on the original Super Nintendo, and continued to play them time and time again. Final Fantasy IV has a compelling story filled with plot twists that will take you by surprise. Chrono Trigger ventured to tell a story never told in a console game before, and was quite successful. I can't recommend them enough, and Chrono Trigger has the best replay value with multiple endings and a New Game+ feature.

I basically bought this for FFIV so that's what I'm going to review. This is my favorite game of all time. I've been playing this game ever since it came out and have beaten it at least a dozen times. It's the only game I can honestly say that I know like the back of my hand. This is the "real" version of the game and is much more challenging (I actually got killed by the Dark Elf!) and unedited. What really shines is the new translation. I hadn't realized how poorly translated the old version was. So much more character developement has been included in the game. Although, a few spots could have been better. I cringed when I heard the phrase "S'up G?" The first time Kain turns bad, Cecil tells him he's beeing controled by Golbez. This takes away from the mystery of his betrayal. Oh well. Although this game takes a while to get going, if you give it a chance, you'll find yourslef greatly enjoying it. This is truly the most epic of the FF series. You end up going into the core of the moon, for pete's sake!

Chrono Trigger is the best!

Without a doubt, this combination of classic rpg games is a must have for any rpg lover out there. All though Final Fantasy 4 isn't exactly the best game there is, Chrono Trigger makes it the best. With all the playable characters, the in-games cinemas, and the great story-line, this game is one of the best there is.
