This game is fun. I just got it this week as a present. It is however a work out for your arms. It has lots of characters to play or you can use your mii. It has running, swimming, trampoline, vault, and more. I am a left hander and I had no problem with it.

Great game but...

I enjoy this game but sometimes the complexity of the movements gets me down. Boy a lot of people will be visiting the doctor with carpal tunnel syndrome because of the constant movement for long periods of time. I can only play for an hour without the pain in my hands.

The best wii game ever

I got this game for an equil share for mario and sonic and i'm pleased for both sides. it was semi frustraiting at first but we soon mastered it, the only thing wrong is there could be more events (balance beam, floor, uneven bars, rings, ball games, diving,) but who cares! the games they have are awesome and it's so much fun to beat my friends at. i hope they make another one for the winter games.

Variety of fun!

This game is a lot of fun. There are different events (fencing, rowing, javilin throw, relay races, swimming, etc.) with different objectives. The rules are easy and each event has instructions. The kids and I have fun competing against each other!

Can be fun, but could have been so much more.

It has a lot of fun events, although the interaction is a little sloppy as compared to Wii Sports. Also, it's difficult for lefty's to play as although you can play left...the characters still show right which can be confusing depending on the game.

Otherwise, the game really is dependent on the user learning sometime ultra complex control sequences (buttons, nunchuck movements, etc...) to perform what should be easy tasks. ...think 'Finishing Moves' from Mortal Combat.

All in all...fun, but not sure if how long I'll keep. ..oh, and be careful not to sprain your wrists when you're trying to run.....timing doesn't have anything to do with the speed...just how fast you can alternate your two hands going up and down.

Lots of variety!

I love how many different events you can play just starting out, and I'm sure that once I unlock some more of them it will be even better! We only played with two people, but I can imagine it being even more fun with a large group. A couple events are difficult to figure out how to do, but even on the first try I was still able to compete against the computer and do fairly well. The graphics are great, and the variety of characters to choose from is huge! It's also very fun to be able to play your Mii. The con I noticed is that if you play for more than an hour or so, events like running and swimming will make your arms very sore! But, overall it seems like a great time and I plan on buying it as a gift as well!

Got Olympic Fever?

As a result of Michael Phelps' astounding eight gold medals at this year's Olympic Games, many adults (and thus likely a fair amount of children) have been glued to their television sets night after night, cheering for the United States (or country of choice) to win a medal.

Thus, if your children (or you yourself!) were swept away by Olympic fever, and you happen to own a Wii, then this game will entertain you to your wits end! Much like the U.S. competing against other countries in the real Games, this game pits classic Nintendo characters (Mario, DK, Peach, Link, etc.) against characters from the Sega brand (Sonic, Tails, Shadow, Eggman, etc.). Much like Super Smash Bros. "determines" who could beat up who, this game establishes victory based on athletic achievements in such events as swimming, track, and field.

The controls are easy to pick up, taking full advantage of the Wii nunchuk format, yet challenging enough to keep you raring to drop that last .10 of a second to win first place.

Overall, this is a great game for those who have caught Olympic fever, or just are intrigued by seeing the Nintendo and Sega franchises combine.

So Much Fun

Overall this game is really fantastic. I've only had it for one evening but it's a blast. The controls are intuitive once you read the controller settings before the event. I don't think any event is necessarily too easy or too hard. It's nice to see all of the old Nintendo characters that I remember from the original Nintendo system but I think it's even more fun to use your Mii. The game definitely gets five interlocking rings.

Great game, must have for wii

It takes advantage of the wii remote, and is a very fun game to have. There are a few events that are difficult, but none of them are impossible, and overall, with practice, they are all a lot of fun. It is also pretty easy to unlock the levels, so once that is done, you can have a lot of fun with friends over. It is definately a good party game, and everyone will have a lot of fun and laughs playing this game.

If you like Mario and Sonic.........

This is a pretty fun game. It has 20 + games and some more mini games. Very colorful to look at. Some games are harder than they should be but I suppose that is better than being too easy. We do wish they would have allowed you to choose difficulty levels. Most of the games require a good amount of fast movement with the controller(s), which we like. A child younger than, say, eight will probably get frustrated at times with what they have to do to win some events, and some may not be doable for them. No regrets buying this one........just so much to choose from!
