For those who remember the original Mario Bros and the original Sonic the Hedgehog and how much fun it was to play those games. Well here is a combination of both of those games in a battle for who is surpreme. It was tough to get use to at first but trying was fun and now that i am actually use to the controls me, my wife and friends can battle it out time after time. Oh yeah Go Sonic!!!!

good variety and fun

fun game where you can compete as your mii or as one of the many mario related characters. we've not yet made it through all of the competitions, but swimming and trampoline are favorites. Very enjoyable game for both kids and parents.

Fun, but no story

Up Side: This game is fun, and I think being able to play as different characters in different events makes the format attractive. Down side: After a few times playing, I got tired of the game. There is no story to the game. You just select to play events. I think the game would be more engaging if there was an option for a story mode.

Rented this game for about a week...the visuals are good, the game play in general is pretty fun, but the biggest problem is that the game doesn't tell you what you did wrong very well. Like when you go to do the triple jump there's no way to tell how close you are to the line to make your first jump...so inevitably you're not going to be very close when you jump. Oh, and if you miss something, it doesn't say, "you were early" or "you were late" or anything, it just says FOUL. It's quite frustrating. Plus, you can't just go from one event to another with the same character, you have to basically start the whole process of character selection over every time you want to play in a new event.

Cute and Fun Game

I really like this game. I purchased the game due to advice from some of the previous reviewers. The graphics are good (perhaps not spectacular) and I really like combining Mario and Sonic characters. I've always thought those characters should battle each other. The game's good for both single and multi player use as it's fun to compete against my friends. I've even had Wii tournaments and this is one game that is played often (this and Wii Sports). The controls seem fairly intuitive for most of the events (although in some events, I'm still trying to figure them out). The dream events are fun and remind me of American Gladiator.

Perhaps some points would've made it a stronger game. Many have spoken about the need for true internet gaming (yep!). I'd would've loved to have picked sides--either play for the Sonic team or the Mario team. What was the purpose of choosing a flag, etc? Aside from the opening ceremony and the medals ceremony (which is only seen in single player mode), it's not very Olympic-ish. In addition, I wish one could post their scores on line despite what profile one uses.

I also would've liked it better had it had provisions for lefties like me. Although I'm doing pretty good with playing it right handed, I'd prefer to play it with my dominant hand.

Still, the grapics are really cute. I've had a blast with the game both in single and multi player modes. Perhaps they'll do a winter sports one with the theme around the next venue in 2010. If so, I hope they work out the bugs and improve upon a good start.

Can't stop playing!

This game is fun because you get to play sports you wouldn't think you could do that are in the olympics. Also You unlock sports which is part of the fun that I personally like.they explain how to do them all of the charters are in there like Princess Peach.

A lot of fun games and plenty of exercises

I bought this game for my 11 years and 8 years old kids and they said it is the best Wii games they ever had. There are a lot of different olympic games and the big surprise is new games will show up after you play the basic games for a while, which definitely keeps my kids in interest.
