A great party game

I am old enough to have a 10-year-old daughter. I can't decide who loves the game more, me or her. We both get something from it because the game is a blast. Enough aspects to keep things interesting and easy enough not to get her too upset. Buy it for both you and your kids!

Awesome game, loads of fun!

I really enjoyed this game. Finally, 2 of the biggest video game personnas of the 90's duke it out! I really enjoyed the multiplayer mode for this game... and single player is fun too. Swimming and shooting seem to be my events, and despite being in great shape, I managed to break a sweat! Lots of fun, great characters, plenty of replay value. The ONLY drawback... you guessed it... whose brain-child was it to not include online play? Whoever you are, you blew it! This game would be so cool to play via Nintendo WFC. Despite this seeming oversight, great all around game. See you on the leader boards! (Or maybe not... in my case)

Get into shape with this game!

My son says it is cool and fun, but is still learning how to play the mini-games with the WII.

We got this game as a family Christmas present -- and have been playing it a lot since. The games are challenging and fun -- both with a group -- or when playing individually. We love the Wii -- and this is a very fun game. Highly recommended!

Fantastic Game! Does not disappoint!

I got this game on a family recommendation. Make that two. I was not disappointed. This is a lot of fun. It is like the old Activision olympics series from the 80's but with more games and a lot more fun.

The Wii controls are great, and you get a work out while playing. I haven't had time to try or unlcok all of the events yet, but this game will get a lot of hours being played.

Graphics are also good.

I don't have too many Wii games, but the best seem to be by Nintendo.

Even if it was just Mario characters, this game is well worth the money. You can even play as your mii, and it has a full body! :)

Great game.

One Of My Favorite Games For Wii!

Since the 2008 Bejing Olympic Games are just around the corner, Nintendo made cooperation with Sega to collide the worlds of Mario & Sonic together in Olympic events. Although I'm a Mario fan, I like the way they put Sonic in too. This is a great game.

There are eight characters from the Mario world (Mario, Peach, Yoshi, Luigi, Wario, Bowser, Daisy, & Waluigi) and eight characters from the Sonic world (Sonic, Amy, Tails, Blaze, Vector, Knuckles, Dr. Eggman, & Shadow).

You choose your favorite, if not, you can play as your Mii. There are 20 olympic events to choose from, from Swimming to Gymnastics, to Athletics to Table Tennis, this game has it all! There are three different ways to play, there is Single Match mode, where you can play your favorite event.

There is a tournament mode, also known as Circuit Mode and there is a Mission Mode, where you can use your character to complete their missions.

I highly recommend this game to not only sports lovers but Mario & Sonic fans!

I bought this game for my son and we all played it on Christmas Day. It was great fun and required a lot of physical effort - not for couch potatoes! There's a lot of variety and it's fun for individuals as well as teams. If you like competition, this game's for you.

Lots of fun

I bought a WII for Christmas and this was the first game out of about 10 that we played. We played it almost all day and it was so much fun. It gives you hints to move to the next level and is all around very entertaining. Bye the way, both of us are in our 50's and found this game very enjoyable.

Lots of fun with a few minor annoyances

This is definitely one of the most fun Wii games I have played so far. It is fairly easy to pick up with a short learning curve for most events, but still challenging enough that you want to keep playing. There are also plenty of events to keep you entertained and always the opportunity to unlock new events. We have been playing it a lot since Christmas and have barely scratched the surface of what is available. It is also pretty good for a variety of ages too. I have 2 kids aged 7 and 4. The 7 year old does pretty well with all events and the 4 year old can compete in most of the events ok.

So what are the minor annoyances? The main one is one others have talked about, whereby you can only compete as one profile at once. What this means is that if you want to compete against each other, if you are not using your profile and you set records they are stored under someone else's profile. It would be better if you could select multiple profiles to compete as so that if you set a record, it is stored under your profile. The other main annoyance involves the minimal instructions and hence unknown methods of partaking in some events. This manifests itself in that it is difficult to replicate a "Great" throw/jump/etc in an event. There does not seem to be a set way of hitting the sweet spot when you are competing in an event. If there is, it is difficult to find it as doing the same thing can often result in different outcomes!

Anyway, as I said, minor annoyances at best in what is otherwise a great game. Now all I have to do is work out how I get on the Top 30 list for some of the events!

Outstanding game. Loads of fun. Can be a great cardio workout especially the races and hurdle races.
