Another title perfectly suited to the "activity" theme that Wii is becoming famous for. Like the other DDR's before it the control scheme is pretty much unchanged and the three seperate paths through the game are pretty much typical of the other, save for the "work-out" mode.
The game is fun all around and if you're like me and haven't spent alot of time on other DDR games, this one is easy to pickup for anyone at any age.
The one thing I'd suggest for future versions is that they expand the song lists. Although DDR-HP has a pretty decent collection of music, it gets a bit old after breezing through on the easy level.
All-in-all a fun family oriented game!

Getting used to the new additions are a bit tricky, but make for a great challenge. A definite workout. Eye, foot, and hand coordination are a must. It's a great tool to enhance the skills needed to play the game. It even has the workout mode (as most ddr games do) to track your calories burned. :)
A very fun and active game that keeps you coming back for more!

I got this game for Christmas of 2007 and I play it every day. It is a lot of fun and keeps you moving constantly. The songs are fun and entertaining and the graphics are average, but that isn't what the game is all about, it's about enjoying yourself and dancing to your own beat. I enjoy it so much that my family wants to play it as well. I got two extra pads and we all play, having fun and competing at our own rank, but to the same song. I recommend, if you get extra pads, to get like the ones you got with your game. The other types just don't measure up to the pad that was produced with the game. They are expensive, the same pads, but they aren't as much as a hassle like the other ones are. Believe me after playing for four hours of this game you start up a good sweat!
Great fo the casual gamer wanting to move for a change

Great game. I'd never played the arcade version, and fall squarely in the 'basic' rank even after a bit of practice since getting it. It was purchased on a whim for our new Wii thinking that maybe it would motivate us adults to actually get up off the couch. It has delivered in this much better than expected. The announcer's derision at poor performances can be a real motivator!
The only negative is that I think the wiimote hand motions drop movements you know you nailed periodically, negatively affecting your score, but then again there is a definite sweet spot with any game on this system, and it can be easy to miss.
Over all lots of fun and worth the price.
Gets the kids off the couch!

My daughter and her friends love this game. I bought a second mat for 2 players. We had a great time watching all the family try out their dance moves during the holidays. The dogs enjoyed it too. They walked across the mat during a game and accidently put it in a higher speed. It was very funny watching clumsy teenage girls trying to keep up with it!
Pretty fun

Overall, it's pretty fun; however, it's hard to get the timing down at first, especially with the hand controls, which can be very frustrating. I don't drag the pad out as much as I thought I would, but it still is something different to do with the Wii. I recommend playing it at a friend's a few times before committing to ordering it.
Difficult but fun

I bought this game to help me get some exercise. I love dancing but I have to say this is the most difficult thing to master. I'm no spring chicken, which I'm sure makes a difference.
The upside is that even though I am totally uncoordinated and cannot keep up, I do get one incredible workout from it. I hope I can eventually master it.

I love my DDR dance mat. It's a lot of fun and a great workout! You can even go to "Workout Mode", where you set it to your weight and it will tell you how many calories you burned. On the beginer level you don't burn very many calories, but the better you get and the higher levels you go the more calories you burn. It's great!
