I am gettimg this game for xmas this year, and this is what i have learned:
In the game, you get to feed, drink, play, walk, wash, groom, and pet a realistic vitural dog. When you start you must pick one dog from six breeds and choose the gender and color. The personalitties are picked for you. When you have chosen you must teach it to sit and it's name. After you have that, then you can do any thing you want. Remember, you can only enter 3 contest a day, train it 3 tricks a day, and walk every 30 minutes. Graphics and sound are very good i've heard also. Hope it helped,

This game is out of this world!Nintendogs is one of the best games invented.In this game you can take your dogs for walks. On your walks you run into question marks. The question marks are eather another dog or a present. Sometimes the presents are collars and bows. Other times the presents could be useless, like a juice bottle or tissue box. When you get back home you can go to the secondhand shop and sell any useless supplies, like the tissue box. When you recieve your present on the walk, the game will give you a discription of the item. When you run into other dogs and their owners, the owner will give you tips. Like a tip on a contest you can enter your dog in or something like that. Occasionally your dog will not like the other dog you met up with. All dogs do their buisness. So do Nintendogs, if you dont pick it up, the next person you meet on your walk will give you a lecture. When you train your dogs it's quite simple, unless you have a puppy that won't sit still. When you enter your dogs in contests you should probably give it a bath and feed it before you go. They judge on how healthy your dog is and how well it performed.You can only enter 3 contests a day, So make sure your dog is ready before you enter. One interesting thing is you have trainer points. Every time they increase you get new dogs at the pound or a new type of style in the interior decorater. Above all, I see no flaws in this game, except for the part where you find useless stuff on your walk. But that makes it fun 'cause you don't know what your excpecting! I highly recommend this game for kids seven and up, If your child is under seven, it might be a bit difficult for them to train their puppy. So, have fun with this awesome game!!!!

This game is great, and exactly like having a puppy. I have one.
1. This is incredbly realistic. The graphics are not true-to-life, but they are still SO cute. You can pet your puppy, and train your puppy, do agility with your puppy, everything. Now, I will Pro and Con it.
PRO:
Cute puppes
They have a personality. I can see it too.My selfish one was always hogging the food bowl, my attention-wanting one was always trying to get petted.
You can talk to them. Just like real puppies, they ell you how you have to use the same voice for your commands.
Contests. They show you that hard work and dedication pay off in the long run.
You can walk your dog. Which is great, 'cause every dog needs to be walked.
Bark Mode. Play wit other doggies
CONS:
The dogs are completely un-true to life
You can only hav 3 puppies

This is probably one of the funnest games of 2005.
First of all, who dosn't want a puppy who never grows up, and never dies? I don't have a dog, so this game is perfect.
The dogs are all cute, epecially the shetland sheepdog, shiba inu, and golden retriever, and don't make a huge mess. Using the built in microphone, you can teach it tricks, and blow bubbles for it. Anyone who dosn't like this game is SO LAME!

I think this game is awesome because it teaches you how to take care of a real dog, and how important it is to love your pet. Yoou can also enter competitions and buy new houses.

A game only Nintendo can make and a game only the DS can play!

Nintendogs is a very creative,simple and fun game.It's not a real challenge at that.At the start of the game,you purchase your first puppy and then you're introduced to the basics,such as naming your puppy,teaching it tricks,and providing it with the necessary supplies.Afterwards,you're on your own as far as training and teaching the dog.It's easy to teach your puppy tricks once you read the manual and the "book" provided within the game.It took a while for me to teach my puppy,but after reading the instructions,the process went much smoother for me.About a week into the owning this game,I bought three more dogs.Earning money is solely through entering and placing in contests.The agility and disc competitions are easy to train for and I earn money for my puppies basically from those to competitions.The obedience trial,however,is much more difficult because your dog may not obey you even if it's well trained,leading to a lower score and point deductions.It took a lot of practice for me the place well in this competition.Anyways,as you move up the ranks,you earn more money within each stading.For as long as I've had the game,I've earned $300 just for placing 1st place in a high-level agility trial.As long as you practice for an adequate time,you'll most likely do well.And to practive for disc and agility competitions,just go for a walk with your puppy and enter the park or dog gynasium.It's very easy doing so.I recommend buying dogs supplies at the discount store you can enter on your walk.It's the icon with a dog bone on it.The supllies are much cheaper and it will help your wallet if you don't have much money at a given moment.

One thing I dislike about the game is the breeds and restrictions.In Nintendogs:Chihuahua and Friends,the breeds were not that attractive to me,only about three of them are tolerable for me.But that's just my strife with the game.Also,as you earn more owner points,you can unlock breeds,as well as in bark-mode.As far as the restrictions,this comes in relation to competitions and teaching your puppy.You can only enter three contests a day per dog and once your dog becomes "tired of learning," you have to stop teaching it tricks.It's a bit frustrating for me at times,but I eventually became accustomed to it.

The touch screen and microphone are heavily utilized in this game,and I must worn you that the touch screen might become stratched because of this game.That's what happened to me.But fortunately,I purchased HORI brand screen protector,which is great for the two screens.

Overall,as my title states,this game is another great Nintendo concept.The game,because of it's required touch screen and microphone usage,is also just for the DS,something that is reassuring the copy-cat game world.I highly recommend this game.It's very enjoyable and you're guaranteed good gameplay.Have fun!

i love this game the dogs looks real but the first things u do is to train it it is very had but i got lucky this time because my cuz has that same so she did most of the work its cool

This is a great game if you aren't aloud to have a dog with realistic things like when you touch your dogs nose he sneezes. If you want a game get this one!

I love this game it is fun and it is like there is an actually dog right there listening to you! I command you to buy this game or else!
