How can anyone compare this game to GoldenEye. My brother bought this game and returned it after 3 days. If you are looking for a better game than GoldenEye, get Perfect Dark. I wouldn't play this game if it were a gift to me. It's horrible.
Pretty Lousy Game

I bought this game today and returned it within 2 hours of the initial purchase time. First of all, this game is so much worse than goldeneye, in almost every way. I have the expansion pack and that didn't even help. The graphics are not sharp by any means and you will have a headache within 5 minutes of your first mission. It is also hard to tell who is good and who is bad, especially when there are men dressed in civilian clothing that pull a gat on you. It is also hard to know where shots are coming from. All of a sudden, you are getting ripped apart by shots and you can turn in all directions and see nothing that even resembles an enemy. The graphics are overdone to the point where you cannot distinguish an enemy from a wall. It is horrendous. The guns also take up half of the screen. They seem to be the focal point of the screen which is horrifying to me. I am a huge fan of goldeneye and that made this all the more disappointing. If you want a first person shooter far superior to "The World is Not Enough," I highly recommend you purchase an "oldie" but evidently a "goodie" and go buy wolfenstein 3d. And yes, it was made in the 80s but it is a hell of a lot better than this game. One more thing: Goldeneye has a sense of reality to it, yet this games is more like Turok. It is extremely fake. The guns are stupid looking and they do not shoot well (probably because it is impossible to aim). Do not buy this game. We need to show EA that they have screwed up this time (although their sports games are great) so Rare will take over and produce yet another world class game for the systems.

Pretty soon it will become hip to diss this game, just like it was hip to call Goldeneye the best N64 game(which it wasn't, Zelda's better). So, before it becomes hip let me say this:
TWINE is a let down. Every time you start a level you have to wait five seconds while it loads the intro. Then, even if you skip the intro, you have to wait five more seconds to play the level. This is VERY irritating. I expect that from PlayStation games, but not N64 ones.
The levels are good, but not nearly as good as Goldeneye's(I haven't played Perfect Dark). EA may have changed the interface and given us new weapons but still the game is sluggish. Even with an Expansion Pak(which I don't have) there'd still be the problem of the game being garbage. Its all very been there done that. And the fact that you have to use a controller pack is annoying. Too bad Rare didn't make this.
The voices add nothing to the gaming experience and overall the game is just lousy. I really wanted to like it, but with bad control, cruddy multi-player options and bland visuals its hard to say anything really positive about this. Perhaps I'll trade this in for PD or the new Zelda game. Bond fans, here is your mission: Overload EA's head quarters with hate mail.
The Game Is Not Good Enough (for multiplayers)

What a let down this game is! If you liked Goldeneye for the smooth gameplay and graphics in multiplayer mode, get ready to be dissapointed. The reaction times of the controller is much slower in this mode, and the graphics don't seem that much better(if at all) to justify the slow down. A worthy sequel to one of N64's best titles this isn't. Spend your money elsewhere!!

.... It doesn't even hold a candle to Golden Eye or Perfect Dark. The graphics are average and he gameplay and movement remind me of an atari game. The AI took a step back compared to the previous Bond. The interface is horrible. The multi-player vs the AI agents is laughable; the enemys is always right in front of you and it seems they kill with one shot. The missions aren't clear and to use keycards and other collected items, you have to press start and access the items from the main menu just to open a door. I hope EA made all the money they thought they would make from throwing together a Bond game. EA should stick to sports.
Don't Buy Bond!

The World is not Enough is the most primative first-person shooter game since Wolfenstein. A total degradation from the level of Goldeneye, I was flabbergasted at the inadequacy of the graphics and gameplay of TWINE. Perhaps this is simply the rough draft, but I fear not. Use your money more wisely and buy either Goldeneye or Perfect Dark.
Disappointing

You would expect a sequel to outshine the original. This is not the case with TWINE, which is unfit to pick up Goldeneye's spent shell casings. The graphics and game play are a step backward in this otherwise compelling 007 series.
Could have been better,

overall this game is nothing like goldeneye and doesn't even score any where close to the quality of perfect dark. I rented this thinking it was going to be another perfect dark but its not. Maybe because it's made by ea and not rare, maybe thats it. But overall if your expecting a game like perfect dark you can pass this one up.
What a disaster

I bought the game, and I was pretty dissapointed, the graphics are better than Goldeneyes but graphics arent everything, the game lacks in many departments, such as the enemies AI, they are pretty dumb, and a few levels start to [tick] you off because you keep getting spotted and have to wait for this long cinimatic to roll through. The multiplayer is horrible and the game just doesnt have what it to takes to be called a second goldeneye

TWINE's graphics are nice but the gameplay is really bad the controls are a little screwy and if you want a really good shooter for N64 I think you should consider Perfect Dark that game is the best game for N64 out and has been ever since it came out.
